I started at a 23 handicap, which has been brought down to a 13 in literally a span of a couple months, thanks to this dude. If I could give six stars I would! I met Christian and we started a journey, I was a 10 - 30 handicapper depending on the day and which swing turns up! We worked on basics and minor tweaks, until we had one swing.... then we had consistency. We then moved through simple thoughts and further tweaks and the results have been amazing, this year I was consistently playing from 6-16 in competitions and reached the finals of my club champs. Hidden Golf Gem In San Fernando Valley. Knowing Golf Courses are open during these unprecedented times, I thought I'd work on improving my Golf swing. Found Christian Grunderman Golf via searching San Fernando Valley Golf Lessons. Booked a lesson with Christian not knowing what to expect. I was a little hesitant as I wanted to maintain my 6 feet distance and not get too close. My confidence and feelings of safety grew tremendously as I learned it's an open-outdoor setup and its private coaching one-on-one instructional lessons. The studio and lesson environment is extremely nice as it's an outdoor setup with sun-covering canopy's, video monitors, and track flight ball simulator to measure swing speed, ball distance, swing direction. The equipment used at the site is tremendous. I wasn't hitting off a beat-up mat, didn't feel claustrophobic, and was able to work with high-end technology swing trackers. Christian is an amazing instructor and knows his game. He is an excellent instructor who can provide feedback in all areas of my game Putting, Pitching, Driver, iron-shots. Christian evaluated my swing and made adjustments to help me. My confidence is improving, and Christian has been a tremendous coach to improve my game. This is my first Yelp review and I was compelled to write one because Christian is simply the best golf coach in Los Angeles. Our family discovered him last year during the COVID pandemic. My oldest son was entering high school and I wanted an instructor to improve his game so that he would make it onto the varsity golf team. My son has participated in many golf camps throughout the valley and none of these coaches compare to Christian's level of expertise and passion for helping his students achieve success in their game. Before finding Christian, my son was so frustrated with his swing that he almost quit playing. Like any good mom, I went onto Yelp and read countless reviews before making a decision to go with Christian. I immediately noticed that he had the rare all 5 star reviews. I was also intrigued by his 60 minute swing assessment. To be honest I wasn't expecting much from the lesson as I was skeptical about the effectiveness of a golf assessment at his golf studio vs. the range. During our first meeting, Christian instantly put my son and I at ease with his warm welcome and really listened to my son's history with golf and his goal as a player. Christian doesn't try to revamp your swing style, but to find the one change in your swing that will bring forth the biggest impact. And literally after the first session, my son's swing and confidence improved so much. We immediately knew we had found a great golf coach and my son was able to make it on the varsity high school golf team. The golf lessons are held at the golf studio as well as at the golf courses. This helps make the lessons more dynamic and exciting for the students. After each session, Christian provides a summary and provides simple drills to help hone in on the area of improvement. I truly believe what separates Christian from other instructors is his gift with connecting with his students. After seeing success with my oldest, I wanted to enroll my youngest son, but was hesitant because he is very shy and has a very short attention span. Once again, Christian rose to the challenge. He makes my youngest feel special and treats him with dignity. He never yells and when my son loses focus, Christian calmly brings my son's attention back to the lesson. I was struggling to break 100 prior to my lessons, and now I am consistently shooting mid-80's...after just 10 lessons! Christian has a great teaching method where he works around your game and style. You don't feel pressured into making drastic changes to your swing, he just figures out what works best for you and goes from there. My dad (age 57), brother (age 11) and I (age 31) have been taking lessons with Christian the last few months since we started playing golf together.
