Let's start out by saying we had 13 people... I called they said they had large groups coming in but they said they would try to accommodate us but no guarantees. We walked in ... they took a smile-encased deep breath and they accommodated us albeit at two tables slightly separated (But the boys didn't want to sit with each other anyhow.). The waitress kept smiling ... they are so busy; it's a Saturday early evening and it smells so good!! The dining area is bright and clean ... you can almost sense Athens. Some of the wait staff look like their day job is diving for sponges. Out comes the bread we're ready for cheese. Our waitress approaches with flame in hand and suddenly the saganaki is a bright inferno. The show is over but the cheese tastes so good. Avgolemono so perfect but a bowl is too much needed a container for home. A huge plate of olives created smiles all around. 13 meals and everyone was happy!! No room for dessert and a couple containers to take home. A kiss for the waitress (on the cheek) and off into the night. Yes, they were able to accommodate us and they did very well.

While we were at National Bakery, we asked where's the best place for octopus and avgolemono soup. Mr. Souvlaki was named with no hesitation, so off we went. Mr. Souvlaki was great. We got the charbroiled octopus and the avgolemono soup. The octopus was so tender. And the oregano and garlic seasoned olive oil the cephalopod was broiled in made a great dip for the house Greek bread, supplied by the aforementioned National Bakery. The avgolemono soup was perfect. Light and lemon-y. The best in Greek comfort food. If you're in Tarpon Springs and want some great Greek Food, definitely skip some of the tourist-trap type places on Dodecanese Blvd. Always ask the locals because they'll never steer you wrong.

So I have to be honest I'm probably not the best reviewer of traditional Greek food. However, my wife is and she loves this place. Very clean inside the service was exceptional. Everybody was super nice according to my wife the food is outstanding and since I'm the head baseball coach in Tarpon Springs high school a very Greek community I'm gonna give this place five stars My favorites were the flaming cheese and the rice pudding

Visited here with a church group following a visit to the Tabernacle In The Wilderness in Tarpon Springs. Our group of 24 were greeted and seated immediately. Although we could not be seated at one table, we were seated in a separate area in tables of four or eight. We were brought menus and drinks and fresh bread. There's no way I would go to a new Greek place without ordering Spanakopita! And I also ordered a Chicken Souvlaki to share with my granddaughter. Salads came first, one at our table ordered the small Greek Salad. It was huge! It shared among three at the table. My Spanakopita was huge also. And it was delicious. But I must admit I do prefer more of a ratio of filo to spinach. The Chicken Slouvaki was excellent. And yes, I did share with my granddaughter. Several people ordered the Greek Chow Mein that was suggested and said it was wonderful. Next time! Great food, excellent service by our server Daki, and a great ambiance. Check it out!

This place has amazing food. The Greek chowmain is must try. It can be had with pork, beef, or shrimp. It the full order covered the plate. The place was clean and fresh looking inside. The staff were on top of thing's.

Great service. Food came out relatively quickly even though restaurant was busy. Tsatsiki was delicious although heavy on either raw garlic or raw onion or both. I recommend paying the slight up charge for pita bread. Greek salad large. I recommend adding potato salad. I believe all the lettuce was iceberg. Contained beets, feta, onion, tomato, a few chickpeas and lemony dressing. Donuts served with honey were hot, freshly fried and tasty, but didn't wow me. Some mint or cinnamon or berries would have been appreciated. Restaurant was out of both humus and bottled water the day we visited. Portion sizes seemed huge on most of the tables I passed.

So happy to be back at Mr. Souvlaki. Last time the service was so dreadful we hesitated to return. But the food is so good. I spoke to one of the senior servers and explained how disappointed we were the last visit. He did a great job, and offered us some wine to make up for the poor performance. Definitely back in my good graces.

Food and service is great!!! I did feel that the menu was somewhat limited. I would have liked a few more choices.

I got the chicken souvlaki platter which had two huge skewers of chunks of white meat chicken. It was brushed with a garlic sauce and grilled. It was served with a Greek side salad and I chose the veggie of the day, peas. The chicken was moist, the sauce was garlicky genius. The Tzatziki and freshly grilled pita were also outstanding! The portions were huge and everything tasted freshly prepared. Service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back!

I sent back the empty plate to the chef to show him how much I liked it! Big tip is to order the perfectly cooked gyro meat as a side order which brings a large pile of gyro meat big enough to share around the table. Without question order the Greek beer called FIX - crisp clean lager better than other better known Greek breweries Friendly attentive service.

Turned down a random side road and found this restaurant - so very glad that I decided to stop here for lunch! Fortunately they had a parking lot, small and very tight, but it worked. Lots of seating indoors and some outdoors as well. I choose the indoor seating since the outside seating is very close to the road. A very big menu, enough choices to satisfy everyone. We got an open face gyro platter with oven roasted potatoes, salad, and chicken soup. The food was delicious. I would certainly order our meals again. I have to tell you that the portions are huge! And that's a good thing because I like to eat a lot, you just need to be aware of the large portions if you're ordering appetizers etc with a meal. A couple at the table next to us had ordered a fried calamari appetizer and it looked so beautiful - lightly breaded and fried to a delicious golden color. I was honestly wishing I could try their calamari, LOL. But the portions are incredibly huge, the other table ended taking a lot offood home with them when they left. Overall this place was great - delicious food, good service, very clean restrooms.

My husband wanted a beer and asked for "one of the Greek beers" as there weren't any descriptions or options on the menu. Our server wrote it down and went on their way. My husband then commented that they must only have one Greek beer, because he wasn't given any options; the menu didn't list any specific beers either. After our drinks arrived I noticed our server smoking a cigarette outside on the sidewalk right outside the restaurant and right next to other dining tables. This was unsettling, and I kind of didn't want them handling our food after that. However, our food arrived promptly and was very good. I was surprised to find potato salad in my Greek salad, but it worked! The gyros were delicious as well and the pita bread was great. At one point we wanted more tzatziki sauce but our server was no where to be found. After a while they finally stopped by and we were able to ask for more sauce and our check. All together it was not the best experience. The food was very good but it was the experience that will keep us away. I find it unacceptable to have employees smoking out front of the restaurant, ESPECIALLY when it is in the outdoor dinning area. I am sure there is an area behind the restaurant that they can smoke if they need to. If I would have seen then when looking for a restaurant, I would have kept on walking.
