Service was super fast and friendly, which is pretty much the standard in this awesome little Greek town. I had a souvlaki while my wife had the dolomades. We looked at a few Greek restaurant around and decided that Mykonos meets what we want most. As we enter, the restaurant is cute and quaint but looks like an authentic simple kitchen. Our server lets us choose wherever we want to sit and was very knowledgeable and attentive. When the food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised how delicious it was! I've been meaning to go back ever since. A Saturday in July was finally the day! I got there just before the lunch crowd, which was great. I was seated by a window with a good view of the restaurant. I got to watch other people get their saganaki (flaming cheese!) before and after I did. Opa!!! Of course I ordered that-and a Greek salad (no potato salad, no onions). The cheese was so tasty and grilled to perfection. It stayed warm a good long time on the griddle pan. So good-and the presentation was spectacular. The salad didn't come with a show-but it's a showstopper and so big! The lettuce was so fresh-the feta, so yummy! I wish there'd been a few more Kalamata olives, but admittedly, I can never get enough of those. I so wanted to try an entry, but I was too full. I did manage to try a Greek white wine... moschofilero... and really liked it. (both glasses!) This place is so clean, with staff waiting to take empty plates. They never rush you-you always feel so welcome and at home. They have their own parking lot for customers, right next door. Their menu is big and varied. Prices are fair. My server was hilarious. And the family feel extends to all the family photos on the wall. This place is super popular and busy-and can get very crowded. But it's worth the wait!! While visiting Tarpon Springs, we stopped at Mykonos for a late lunch. We were so glad we did! Great food and service! The restaurant sits on the main street and it has parking, a plus in this area! It is decorated in nautical theme with various size tables throughout the open dining area. We sat ourselves and the waitress immediately offered us menus while asking us for drink orders. We asked for a bottle of water for the table to start. After carefully reviewing the menu, we ordered Saganaki as appetizer, my husband ordered the Gyro platter while I chose the Grilled Octopus. With regard to the menu, there were so many great options, it was hard to choose. We settled on a few appetizers to begin the meal. Specifically, the Taramosalata (fish caviar spread), Octapodi Skaras (grilled octopus), and the Horiatiki Salad. All were quite good. But, the best were the entrees. We shared an order of Papoutsakia which were absolutely amazing! All the ingredients married so well together. Fantastic! We ordered the yellowtail fish of the day and the gyro platter and both were absolutely phenomenal. The yellowtail was grilled to perfection: fresh, flaky, and bursting with flavor. Our amazing server, who we now lovingly refer to as Mama, not only recommended the perfect wine to pair with it (seriously, spot on), but also went the extra mile to help me filet the fish for me as I've never done it. I want to start with the customer service here is amazing! My rating comes down to the food it's self. Maybe it's due to the Greek style but my food (the lasagna looking item) was horribly bland and just disappointing. For $22 I would expect the meat to be seasoned at LEAST. But rather I got bland plain meat, pasta and cheese. With some salt it was good just over all wouldn't get again knowing the style they cooked it. BUT the Gyro WAS AMAZING! I ended up sharing my husbands and I would come back any day for it. As well as the lemon chicken soup was delicious and refreshing. We were in Tarpon Springs on a Sunday afternoon and decided on Mykonos for lunch. It was Very Busy and we had to wait for a table, but it was worth the wait. Hubby got a Greek salad and loved it! I got the traditional gyro and Greek fries. They gyro was incredible-- meat was fresh, plenty of tzatziki sauce and the pita was pillow soft. Exactly what you want when you're in the mood for authentic Greek food. Service was efficient and fast and attentive. We will definitely be back! read more

I don't recommend Mykonos any longer. This was the first time in 30 years that Mykonos didn't have quality food with friendly service. The last time I visited in 2024 (before the hurricanes) it was delicious and very crowded - it was almost empty today. Seems like new management? New Facebook page makes me think so too. The Gyros had dry meat - I had to get more sauce to be able swallow it & they wanted $3 more for less than 1/4 cup. The Greek salad side for $5 doesn't include any potato salad. Service was inattentive at best, and we weren't asked how our gyros were at all or I would have sent them back. The new owner needs to improve the quality of the restaurant in order to keep the family restaurant in business. read more

Avgolemono lemon chicken soup was so creamy and delicious! It had prices of chicken in it, you could tell it was fresh and home made right there in the restaurant! My spanakopita had the most delicious flaky crust of any that I've ever had. And the filling was lush and creamy spinach with lots of flavor. Service was sweet, personable and professional.
