When in Tarpon Springs, The Limani is the most stop spot. Here you go to the window, and cash is what is accepted here. Can't beat the prices here. 8.95 for a pita. I always get the souvlaki pita and my husband gets the gyros, we ordered feta fries this time which are so good and crispy, Pick a table which is outside and mostly covered and by the water. The birds are there to scope out your food and especially your fries so beware. It's a great spot and it's dog friendly. They will bring your food to you. This place does not disappoint! read more

Great little window ordering spot with outdoor seating right by the port, which is what Limani means in Greek. Good place to sit down for a bite if you have a dog. Salads are excellent. Watch out for the pits in the olives. The Greeks really know what they're doing with chicken kebabs. Next time I will try the pork. read more

The chicken pita is delicious albeit a bit messy And their Feta fries are perfectly crispy, drizzled with a light lemon sauce, then generously Sprinkled with Feta and Oregano; absolutely craving worthy. They also do Plain fries, Garlic fries and Greek fries as well as Beer Battered Onion Rings (need to try those sometime but how do I justify them and the Feta fries ) Everything is so fresh and made to order, very nice people and outdoor only seating with a nice view of the boats moored and the Anclote River. I had the pork skewer platter and it was large enough to share. The pork had a great grill flavor and was very tender. The fries and salad were also well seasoned. Service was quick and helpful. Great walk up food but bring cash there's no options for tap or cards. Parking is horrible but if you want something filling that imo is better than the sit down tourist traps this place is perfect! They will yell your name when your food is ready. It operates out of a very small kitchen. If there is a line, know that it moves quickly. Located on the boardwalk, next to the harbor where the ships come in and out. There is shaded seating and full sun seating for the cooler days. Nice peaceful location with great food! In need of a restroom? Public ones are located in the middle of the public parking lot next to the building. There are four non-gendered single stall bathrooms. DON'T FEED the birds! I am so happy that I found this restaurant. I saw people sitting outside and I was wondering if it was a restaurant or what was it, well it was a restaurant. It's a family-owned business and the prices are fairly priced overall it was pretty amazing. I wanted to try their Greek salad and I wanted to try their chicken kabob and it was all very delicious and very fresh. My husband decided to get their Gyro which was good as well. Cash only! I'm putting this because I pre-ordered two wonderful Gyros and I forgot they were cash only. I got to the window. They were already made. I didn't know what to do. The owner quickly piped in. "Please just pay us whenever-come back another day " That was the most genuine thing I've heard. There's some outdoor seating provided which is nice next to the water but if it's busy you might be sitting next to a trash can which isn't nice Be sure to grab the traditional souvlaki. In my opinion, the best chicken on the docks; HOWEVER, and this is a huge "however," the owners and employees are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered in my travels. They have an overall lack of respect for their customers. I've visited here over a dozen times throughout my visits to Florida over the past several years, and every time I've witnessed the same behavior. Having worked in the food service industry, I'm pretty understanding of the stresses of owning a business and customer service, but their demeanor from the first moment of interaction with customers is just downright rude. I once witnessed them berate an employee for apologizing to a customer for the long wait. As much as I love the food - and truly I cannot emphasize enough how delicious it is- and love supporting the businesses on the Sponge Docks, this is one I will be skipping moving forward. I simply want to frequent establishments who actually value their customers. For those of you who still choose to visit, they are a cash only facility but have an ATM on-site. read more

Nice big portion and price point is excellent. They ran out of kabobs so ended up getting pitas. Hubby loved it and said it was the best he's ever had. Mom liked it but thought they put too much dressing on it. She preferred the salad as they put the dressing on the side and can control how much we wanted to put on it. The Limani was recommended to us by Carol at the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center. We originally planned on eating at Hellas Restaurant because of all the great reviews; however, we decided on a smaller lunch to prevent spoiling our dinner later that evening. The Limani is a small, family-owned restaurant with outside seating along the Tarpon Bayou. The restaurant serves up quick popular Greek dishes such as Kabobs, Fish-n-fries, Greek Salad, Pita's, Burgers, Hotdogs, and fries for a very reasonable price. We ordered the Gyro Pita ($6.95) and the Feta Fries ($4.95). Nancy and I shared the two items and were stuffed for the better part of the day. The Gyro was loaded with lamb, veggies, and sour cream; the meat was shaved traditionally from a vertical spit and was simply delicious! The pita was hot and slightly crispy on the outside (Yum!) We received a lot of fries for $4.95! The richness of the feta cheese has a way of filling us up. The fries were perfectly cooked, fresh out of the fryer, and seasoned just right. If you're a parent with children, one order would be enough for two to share, especially if you're ordering more food. We are happy we chose Limani over Hellas because we could get in and out quickly without spending a fortune. Additionally, the location allowed for some quiet time with my wife away from the crowd while enjoying the beautiful view of the harbor and wildlife surrounding us. When I stumbled across the walk up window for this place on the docks... I remembered it instantly and it was so satisfying to remember where that childhood memory took place!
