PSA: Avoid Mr. Sticker on Jeanetta and Westheimer unless you want your engine destroyed Let me save someone else from the nightmare I just dealt with. I went to Mr. Sticker on Jeanetta and Westheimer for a simple oil change. Simple. My car is a 4 cylinder. It takes around 4 quarts. They dumped eight quarts of oil into my engine. They did not drain the old oil. They did not check anything. They just poured until the jug was empty. I drove off and my car immediately started knocking, choking, and blowing white smoke like it was about to explode. I went back and the worker refused to take responsibility. He kept repeating that all he did was remove the filter and put oil. He even tried to brag that he did not charge me for synthetic. That does not change the fact that he overfilled my engine with double the oil. We showed him video proof of the eight quart container. He still denied it and still refused a refund. I had to go to my mechanic, who drained the excess oil, replaced the spark plug, and confirmed the engine was drowning in oil. This cost me 170 dollars because of their mistake. Mr. Sticker might be fine for inspections, but do not trust them with oil changes or any mechanical work. My mistake was trusting them. Came in for emissions tests which should be $18.50 (no sales tax is charged). He charged my debit card $19.24. This is how employees pocket money. By charging more on a card and then pocketing the money in cash. The reports come out correct. For most, $0.74 is not enough to complain about and most people will think it is tax. But multiply that by 2,000 customers a month. Others (women!?) may be getting over-charged more. read more

I told him as I was gathering myself from just exiting the vehicle. That's fine but his rude manner wasn't very professional. And he didn't even understand initially. I had to explain again. This is a no frills place, cheap, fast, and responsive. We did a state inspection, oil change, and windshield wipers for $95. Service took about 30-45 mins and we were seen right away. Dude ripped my windshield wiper it's been raining all week in Houston I had no problems and my car was serviced by Cadillac the dealership paid a hefty fee and ain't shit wrong with my car so he had to rip my windshield wiper talk about he can sell me some wipers?!? Never go to this place especially women . They will rip you off & try to over charge you . I went there recently for an oil change and the guy did not put in 5 quarts . He thinks that I didn't see that half empty bottle that he used . My car has a sensor that tells me how much oil is in it in vehicle settings . Yet the oil didn't even reach the minimum . So tell me how does that happen ? Yet my car takes 5.2 quarts ..the guy kept saying that it takes 7 which was a lie . My car isn't a 2020 model it's less than that .They wanted to over charge me for oil. I took my car to Firestone down the street to view it & they told and showed me my levels . I went to the Kuykendahl location this morning around noon. The attendant was extremely rude. When I followed him into the inspection he yelled at me 'you can't be in here you have to wait outside. The my window tint was too dark even though it came from the factory like that, he was very unpleasant. In both instances, customer services dictates an apologetic and soft response. "I'm sorry but you can't be in the inspection area, it is an insurance issue" and again, with the windows. I should be treated like a customer not an intruder. I have 2 cars, neither one will ever be taken to a mr sticker again. read more

The guy running the place is a complete mental midget. I put on the covid face mask as he asked but had to remove it to utilize the facial recognition my bank app uses. He start (no joke) yelling at me! I tried to tell him I needed the app to get him the insurance info, but he yelled louder not letting me speak. He didn't inspect my vehicle and told me to leave. Be warned...DO NOT COME HERE! I've never had an issue passing inspection until I came here. This was my both my first and last time coming here. I tried this place since it was closer and I was told that I needed Anti-freeze and windshield wipers in order to pass the inspection which they conveniently had in stock. So a $25 inspection wound up costing $57.50. I was told that if I left to go purchase my own anti-freeze and wipers (which I know would've been less than $30) I would fail the inspection but could return within 15 days to have my car reinspected. Terrible terrible terrible. Do not go there! 2 years ago I had my inspection there and it was great. No appointment and even though they were busy it didn't take long for them to do the inspection. Now the they have a new guy doing the inspection, made me purchase windshield wipers and still didn't pass it because my cigarette lighter wasn't working. I don't even use it agh. But the worst part is when I left the place my car had 2 new lights on the dash board that weren't there prior giving them my car. Came in for inspection and was told my coolant level was low, but they could top it off for $6.00. Told him no thanks and coolant level wasn't part of the state inspection anyway. Then he told me the center brake light was out. Hmmmm.... worked fine when I checked all lights that morning. Told him I'd just take it elsewhere. About 3 blocks from the station, my check engine light came on. When I got home, I discovered the fuse missing from the brake light and wire harness for oxygen sensor pulled. Guess that was my punishment for not paying $6.00 for half a cup of coolant. They need to lose their license. read more

Used the deal I bought on Sweet Jack and had a great experience here. The attendant was polite and friendly and I was in and out in 15 minutes, no problems. It's nothing fancy, just a small garage with a waiting area (just chairs, no tv or coffee or anything like that). Really quick service - as other reviews mentioned they are really strict about what passes and what doesn't, but as long as your car is in working order you'll be ok. They were about to fail me for a tail light that wasn't bright enough but luckily I had a spare bulb in the car and after I replaced it, I passed. The guy who works there is really nice, which is always appreciated. One thing - you need to have a paper copy of your insurance information. My Geico app was not accepted. Luckily there is a Discount Tire next door and they were nice enough to print out a screen shot I emailed them. read more

Hole in the wall. Found this place while dropping my wife for work, since she needed ride at the end of the day to go for eye doctor appointment. This place is right at Jeanette st and westheimer right past the marquis @ westheimer apartment. The waiting area was super clean, has magazines and tv for time pass. My viper blades were worn, but I already had more bills to pay so I put it off for next month. The tech Mansour was very courteous, he said not a problem. This place was fast, however they don't seem 100% legit. I called ahead of time to make certain they take fleet cards before they serviced my car, they told me yes, but when everything was completed, they told me the transaction could not be competed. I even showed them my element fleet card BEFORE they took my car, and they still said it's fine. After much conversation and calls to fleet management they dismissed me to leave, shooing me off telling me to leave and not worry about payment. No legit business works like this, they could not even produce an invoice for me to give them payment. I will not be coming back to this location. Maybe for non-compete vehicles this place is better. I needed to get my inspection done and noticed this place one day when I was waiting at the light. It didn't look like it was too busy so I decided to go there the next day. When I arrived, I was the only customer there which was great because it meant I could get in/out quickly. And did I ever! The inspection took less than 10 minutes. I came here about 3 years ago and had ZERO issue. I'm not sure if ownership has changed or what, but my last attempt at coming to this location was less than pleasant. I have a 2017 vehicle that is kept in tip-top shape. Everything is functional and sound on the car. I lowkey take care of my car better than I take care of myself! So when I went for my annual inspection, I planned to be in and out in a breeze. The man who inspected the vehicle seemed to have a nasty attitude from the very moment I pulled in. He spent a good 15 minutes trying to look for any possible reason to not pass my vehicle. Finally, he came into the waiting room and told me he could not pass me due to my window tinting. I purchased my vehicle from major TEXAS dealership with the tints already being installed by the dealer. A car dealership legally cannot sell a vehicle with illegal modifications on it that do not meet state requirements. When I told the guy this story, he still stood firm that he would not pass it. I drove down the street to another establishment who passed it within 5-8 minutes and had MUCH better attitudes might I add. I even have friends who are HPD officers that confirmed my tints are not darker than the legal limit. Avoid this place at all costs!!! read more

Owner BACKED MY CAR UP INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE!!!!! They drive your cars like it's a race track. He literally backed up after he floored the gas pedal, leaving a scratch on my car. I watched everything from the window on the door in their dirty, smelly, disgusting hole in the wall of a lobby. The other car immediately left the scene. I walked out and he tried to wave me down like nothing happen and avoid eye contact, but I knew something was up. I looked at my car and sure enough there was damage. He started off of course defaulting blame and when I let him know I saw it with my own two eyes, he accepted it. I told him I'm not paying for the service and wanted to leave, and he got very loud and in my face. Now frightened being the only female there with two men, one irate, I called the police. The police sided with me, but in the end it would still affect my insurance since my car was the car that technically caused the accident, even though I wasn't the driver. Avoid this place!!! Horrible customer service, horrible people working there, horrible environment!
