Perhaps contributing to the obesity and diabetes epidemic is the fact that after dinner service the dining options in Peterborough are almost entirely fast food, burgers, pizza, fries/poutine, street hot dog vendors, etc. Many of those are good in flavour, but it is great to have Pita Pit for a healthy alternative in the evening or late at night. Be prepared for music so loud that you often struggle to hear/communicate with the staff, and the fact that they cater in large part at night to the drunk bar crowd - it is right in the bar district. So, if you are going late at night you will be jostling with 5 or 10 or more drunk teenagers and university/college students. Oh, they have excellent cookies. So get a pita, cookies and drink combo!

I have to admit I was a bit reluctant to order pizza from a corner store, but this isn't your average corner store as it also has Beer and LCBO stores within it. We gave it a try and surprisingly it pretty good. I wouldn't call it awesome, but it was much better than I was expecting. The wings were also quite good. Janetville is somewhat rural, so there aren't a lot of local fast food options. You can get food delivered from out of town, but the delivery charges can get expensive. So if you're in the mood for pizza and wings but don't want to pay a fortune in delivery charges, Royal Garden is not a bad option.
