Not overly sweet so although I got my drink full sweet it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. It's tailored to Asian palette so not bad, although the boba was not as soft as the best places I've been to in California do it. Maybe I'm a boba snob idk. That said, decent place for studying but because we just came in to a drink, it did the job. Recommend. Not sure how it stands compared to the surrounding boba shops but not bad on a hot day.

I tried the Caramel cake mlik tea 焦糖蛋糕奶茶 as it's one of the popular ones. It's interesting, I wish the caramelized sugar is less burnt and thicker. Also, the cream they put is on the top and it's hard to mix with the milk tea. The milk tea has little tea flavor. The reason for 4 star is that they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy the drink.

When I saw this new bubble tea spot when walking down Newbury, I couldn't help but try it. The inside was clean and nice - decent amount of sitting room which was nice to know. I grabbed my drink to go and was in and out within a few minutes - quick and easy. Service was fast and there were no issues. The drinks itself was fine, good quality and nothing too special or memorable - just a solid drink. I wouldn't mind coming back to this spot if in the area again, it just adds to the plethora of bubble tea options on Newbury.

Decent drink, I'd give it a 3.5. The brown sugar bubble milk tea tasted a bit diluted, but not a significant amount. The boba was soft and very sweet. Inside had nice decor with a few tables. Plenty of drink options and friendly service.

Great place to go to quench your thirst after biking to Boston. Recommend their wintermelon series.

Wednesday , 26 , 2025 . I order 2 drinks (bubble tea) at 4:00 pm , both of them tasted like water . Only one young girl with glasses work by herself thats why she is not happy . Please owner make sure you double check on this. I was choosing you guys because u doing good more than teazi and heytea on Newbury st but today im very disappointed

No complaints here! Thai ice tea is pictured and it was absolutely perfect. Added boba for fun, too, which was a nice option. The cup seems to be reusable, and it was a great portion size for the price! Service was excellent and the shop is adorable.

There are so many bubble tea spots in the area so I only recently got to try Mr. Tea. I was impressed by their menu which has a big variety of teas, smoothies, and toppings. I decided to try the soy milk cheese foam milk tea ($6). It had a very rich, creamy, almost savory flavor. The tea flavor was strong as well. Definitely not a watered down drink! The servers were very helpful and friendly. There is actually a lot of seating inside the cafe so it would be nice to do some work by the window while people-watching.

Service was great. The staff were nice, and my drink was made very fast. The menu is kind of weird, I'm not sure why they have their "bubble milk tea" which is milk tea with boba priced more than if you get a "milk tea" and add boba. They rang me up for the pricier one :/ When I got the drink, the lid was cracked where it was put on. I guess it was slightly too small for the cup. That makes it not very secure, but it wasn't a problem for me since I didn't take it to go. The milk tea was oddly creamy and thick. Something felt off, and I got a headache ~half an hour after drinking it. Also the boba was a bit too chewy for my taste. I didn't have a good time, and I definitely won't be back. But the indoor seating area is nice, and it was a good spot to sit down and chat with a friend. I'm just not risking another headache.

    Classic Bubble Milk Tea

Super small boba but not quite tiny boba. Like almost two fit side by side into a boba straw. Different than other spots around the area, unique texture profile in that regard. Sizes seem to be constrained to the drink itself, so regular milk teas are 500ml and some specialties are 700ml. Classic Bubble Milk Tea - it was interesting to see this being 5 cents more than a Classic Milk Tea with Boba added but I guess that's a convenience fee. Boba was tiny and undercooked, so firm with a small surface area, a bit strange. Milk tea was solid though, creamy with a good black tea after taste. Maybe a bit Hong Kong style as they play HK music but not a strong influence. Overall fair drink but boba was not good.

This is a nice little hidden tea shop along the bustling Newbury shopping streets. We ordered the Black Gallons Smoothie Cheese Foam & Soy Milk Cheese Foam Milk Tea. Both were really good and better than I had expected. The Black Gallons drink was really unique to me because I rarely see grape drinks!

If you're looking for a cute little spot to sit down and relax with a cup of milk tea, look no further! The interior of this little Newbury St. brownstone looks almost like a coffee shop, with some cute decor and a few tables and chairs for hanging out in. The prices here aren't too bad compared to other nearby spots - most milk teas here are around $5 (not including boba). I ordered their taro milk tea with boba here, which was delicious and exactly what I'm looking for in a drink. It had the perfect amount of sweetness (after I asked them for 50% sweetness) and not an overwhelming amount of ice. I really enjoy my experience every time I visit Mr. Tea and will definitely be back!

I am person on a mission to try every boba shop in the United States or city of Boston. Yesterday I chose Mr. tea located above another great establishment Crazy Good kitchen. The ambiance of the place reminded me of someone home turned into a cafe. However seeing the fireplace with all trinkets reminded me something came out of episode of downtown abbey or Who's the boss. Looking over the menu saw this place had the same thing as any other boba tea place I've visited in the past. I decided to order the Pineapple Coconut smoothie milk. The end result it was okay nothing special it tasted like a a virgin pina colada. The staff was very friendly and services was pretty quick because i went during the week.

PLUS, they close later than both. I have this bad habit of going here almost every time I have a meal in the area LOL. The addiction is real! I love that they keep adding new drinks to their menu... keeps it interesting. My favorite is still the Mango Coconut Boom but I'm a fan of most of their new drinks, like the Golden Oolong Yuzu & their King Jasmine Guava! I tried the Pistachio Cloud Jasmine Coconut, as well, and it's super similar to one of my favorites from MollyTea. I prefer the one from MollyTea more w/ champaca tea. Since their opening here, I have tried almost all of the drinks & their mango coconut boom is STILL superior! Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys mango. It is pretty much their version of mango pomelo sago (they have a version with pomelo but I like it without). SO GOOD! ***Pro tip: order ahead of time via HeyTea app. This is a lifesaver, since the wait time is pretty atrocious most days still. Usually takes ~20 min to be ready.

The wait time estimates are relatively accurate too. Menu-wise, they have a nice variety of both fruity and creamy flavors. Definitely easy to find something for everyone's palette. I really enjoyed their Grape Boom Drink! The sweetness level was perfectly not too sweet with plenty of freshness from the actual grapes. Their Mango Sago Drink was also great but a bit too heavy. If you're looking for more refreshing drinks, definitely go for their fruity options.

The inside of the shop is nice and bright, but there wasn't really any long-term seating. This place is definitely more of a grab-and-go type of establishment. There's also a mini store to the right of the entrance, selling a bunch of cute trinkets and collectibles, that you can browse through while you wait for your drinks. House Special Milk Tea (4/5) - I got this with 70% sugar, and I thought that was a decent "not too sweet" level. I'd prefer even less sugar next time. This drink contains oats, and lots of them. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the oats because they added a unique texture. I also got tapioca with this drink, and I must say the boba is soft but strangely more brittle than chewy. I wanted the deep roast, but they were sold out. I didn't try any of the boba or any toppings, as I usually do not no matter where I go. The oats in the boba is an interesting concept. It's pretty much self-service. You order from the kiosk and they call your order when it's ready. The staff doesn't really acknowledge you otherwise. It's located within another store selling some cute things. Overall the menu is small and simple, and the drinks are pretty good and the tea tastes high quality.

We order for pickup from the Allston location often and occasionally order from Newbury St location. We pretty much try to avoid ordering from here unless we are already shopping on Newbury St because for whatever reason, we always have issues with ordering. A few days ago, we made a 5 drink order for pickup through the app from here since we were down the street & the estimated time was ~30 minutes. No problem! We arrived and parked a block away and proceeded to wait 30 minutes in the car. I go back to the app to see if there was any updates on if the drinks were ready & unfortunately, the app still said 24 minutes... after waiting 30 minutes already. Eventually, our drinks were ready 1hr30min later! Staff checked our order off as ready, even though 2 out of the 5 drinks were missing. I guess the issue was that the drinks were misplaced & there was lack of communication w/ the staff & no communication at all from the staff to us about what was going on, so we had to wait even longer for the drinks to be remade as they had been sitting out melting for an hour essentially. I've noticed that in person orders are definitely prioritized over online app orders, it makes sense I get it, but having our wait time triple when there were no customers around was a little ridiculous honestly. We've also ordered from here the week before when there was no queue at all... still ended up taking 30 min for two drinks to be ready. In comparison to Allston location and other HeyTeas, they are not efficient at all & are especially slow with preparing drinks. There needs to be a better system here because this is not acceptable.
