So after a nice ramen dinner in ctown, we went for a brisk (nah... freezing brick) walk down the block to try this spot out. Having one of our favorite type of drinks in general (mango Pamelo sago, mango sago) we had to give it a go. This spot is firstly, super cute, spacious, clean and a nice local spot in the mix of the Chinatown community and such! It has ample space, full menu of fried chicken, tenders, popcorn street style chicken, burgers, chix sandwiches, fries and more. I wish we weren't so full, because it smelled great and I'm going to have to come back for their food items. Now the mango pomelo sago, it was more milky than other places, less chunks due to the way they blend it finely. I prefer it to have some more mango chunks personally, but the flavor was nice and refreshing! The ladies working were nice and made our drinks well bringing it to one of the coffee tables we decided to post up at. I dig it, will be back to try the fried chicken, I've heard good things! Parking is hit or miss in the area but you can find something with a meter!

I have been meaning to try Cha Kung Fong for a minute now & so glad we were able to stop by finally! We walked over after getting some dinner from down the street to get something to sip on. First of all, the space is HUGE. They've got lots of seating here & can see this being a great spot to go to just chill and hang out. They've got self order kiosks here or you can always order at the counter. We opted for the mango pomelo sago smoothie, one with 30% sugar and the other with 50%, also both with added cheese foam. OMG! The cheese foam from here is so good! It's not too salty, it's just right. Added great flavor to the mango sago drink. I'll be honest, the drinks were not what I expected because the picture provided on the ordering kiosk was not an accurate representation of how they actually make. I was expecting it to have more color? From pieces of mango and pomelo, which is what I typically look for in mango pomelo sago drinks. Nevertheless, it was still good! Tasted refreshing. I think that it could be even better if they added chunks of fruit in rather than it be completely blended. I'd definitely come back again! The popcorn chicken has been catching my eye for months now but the day we visited, we had already eaten & were super full. The burgers and other food options also looked very good. Will have to try when we visit again! Parking: hit or miss in this area. A little better than trying to find parking in the main Chinatown area but still can be tricky and limited parking spot availability.

I didn't try any of the food here, just the tea. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have traditional boba, but I did enjoy whatever chewy bubbles they used as a substitute! The staff was very sweet and was apologetic about the lack of boba available. The flavor of the tea itself was great, which is always my main parameter to judge on. It can be a bit hard to find this place, because it's a bit removed from the main Chinatown strip. However, the space was bigger than I expected, with plenty of seating, so that was great. With all the boba options in the area, this one measures up!

I always walk by this spot and have never tried it. I got the Litchi Yogurt Tea, I didn't realize it came with lychee jelly and I added herbal jelly. It was a strange combo but I really wanted the herbal jelly as a topping. It tasted fine but next time I might just leave out the herbal jelly. I adjusted the sweetness and it was fine. Not sure if I'd come back but would probably get a milk tea to try that out.

Stopped by for boba tea! I enjoyed their taro a lot and I appreciate the generous food selection too. I would go back again and try more. I only got the tea, and next time I plan on asking for fat free milk or a milk substitute, and to ask for it less sweet. The place has good seating and nice tables, there were a few people sitting around eating too. Like a fast food vibe or well lit cafe. Not too loud and very clean.

It's a nice little spot away from the busy spots of Chinatown but I don't think I'll be back. I ordered the mango pomelo sago and my bf had their taro milk tea and the sago in the mango drink was still very hard to chew and you honestly had to wait at least a good hour to even enjoy it because it felt like I was chewing on ice if I had my drink right away. There was nothing special about the milk tea and then we ordered their chicken sandwich and to me personally it still looked Kindof raw inside but you can judge for yourself from the pictures.

Tried the popcorn chicken and it was awesome! Great portion size and super crispy -- just how it should be. Easily the best I've had around here. Definitely coming back for more.

Came late towards their closing and got an oolong grass jelly milk tea. It was decent. I like that they are able to accommodate the sweetness, ice and also switching out boba to grass jelly. It wasn't too sweet for 30% so it was great for my liking. But take note to increase sweetness if you like it. The space was clean and spacious. It started pouring and they were closing up but were so nice to tell us and the other guests to stay as it's raining. I would come back again for their service and also to try out the food next time!

Royal Tea was closed by the time we got to Chinatown, so I looked around for some boba shops that closed late and stumbled upon Cha Kung Fong. I passed by it before but totally forgot about it until today. I tried the classic milk tea and it's definitely lighter than most milk teas. If I order it again, I'd have to ask for more sugar and then it would be just perfect for me. Also, the boba had a different texture for sure than everywhere else. It wasn't a firm and smooth boba, but more like squishy and slippery. But not the bad kind like boba that's been overcooked or over soaked. Let's just say I'd rather chewy on this than teado or kungfu tea or gongcha. I also tried some of the strawberry tea smoothie and it's really good, but also very light, again lighter than most. More sugar and it would've been perfect for me. Overall, I would come here again, keeping in mind to ask for extra sugar. If you're on a diet and don't want to feel guilty, definitely try this place.

Spicy Crispy Chicken Strip (mixed cumin, spicy and curry flavor)

If you like Moon Flower House, you'll love this place. Extremely juicy, flavorful chicken through every bite. You can customize the type of flavor you want for the popcorn chicken and chicken strips--I chose spicy, curry and cumin. Fantastic flavor without too much coating. They use some type of rice to coat and fry the chicken. It looks like it would feel heavy, but it's not at all. The chicken even held up its flavor and tenderness hours later after being cold (yes, I ate it cold on purpose because I didn't have a way to heat it back up). So delicious and the counter service was pleasant. There is plenty of seating available and good lighting for those wishing to dine in/get work done.

The peach four seasons tea with aloe was really refreshing on a hot day! It has real peaches in it. I recommend 30% sweet or less!

Great spot to relax with some fresh fruit tea. There's a self-ordering kiosk, as well as the counter. We didn't try any food, but I would definitely come back to do so.

I was craving some boba and this place wasn't too far from my hotel. I'm so sad I was too full to have their food because I would have love to try it.

PLUS, they close later than both. I have this bad habit of going here almost every time I have a meal in the area LOL. The addiction is real! My favorite is still the Mango Coconut Boom but I'm a fan of most of their new drinks, like the Golden Oolong Yuzu & their King Jasmine Guava! I tried the Pistachio Cloud Jasmine Coconut, as well, and it's super similar to one of my favorites from MollyTea. I prefer the one from MollyTea more w/ champaca tea. Since their opening here, I have tried almost all of the drinks & their mango coconut boom is STILL superior! Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys mango. If you're looking for more refreshing drinks, definitely go for their fruity options.
