East Boston was my childhood hometown and honestly coming back, I can barely recognize it. Tea By The Sea is located literally next to the sea (very on brand lol), in a nice neighborhood with a great view and a cute little dog park a walk away. Even outside of the shop, there's a cute walkway to take pictures or to just sit and relax and enjoy the breeze. The shop itself is pretty small, but located in this huge and nice lobby with very comfortable couches and sofas, which if I went to school around here, I would totally come and study here everyday. It's so quiet we literally whispered because we didn't want to break the peace. The menu has a good variety, and for starters when venturing into a new boba shop, I always get the original milk tea with boba and one fruity drink. For the bubble milk tea, I'd say the amount of sugar is just right. The taste of the tea is not too strong and not too bland, just right. The boba itself has a good texture to it, chewy but firm. Not sticky or not too hard neither, perfect. I also got a strawberry slush and this too was a subtle and refreshing strawberry flavor with just the right amount of sugar. Not too sour and not too sweet. Everything I got was just right. I saw on the menu they also sell Hawaii milk tea, which I'm very intrigued by. I'll have to try that next time. Also, they currently have a promotion going on where you can receive a free T-shirt or stuffed animal if you tag them on Instagram or Rednote! (Can you tell my first photo is the one I posted on my story?) Overall, I love this place and can't wait to come back!

Glad to have a bubble tea place a few minutes away from my apartment. The space inside is huge because I think it's shared with another space/building but all seats are available for use. Whenever I stop by, there's very few people there so seating is always available. In the warmer months, it'll be really nice to sip and watch the sunset or the boats in the harbor. Drinks are solid but can be a bit on the expensive side depending on what you get. Service is fairly fast. I've been here a few times already and each time has been pretty good in terms of taste of drink. Nothing really similar in the East Boston area so will definitely be back for more.

" Boba World ; by the sea in Eastie " Wow growing up in Eastie , we never had this. Times just got better . A small boba shop , with regular tea and trendy coffee from local vendors as well . It's located right by the water . The views are spectacular. The service is friendly, attentive and helpful . I hope you have an opportunity to try this place . The cost is reasonable for the product .

this place seems so meaningful - looks like it serves as a community headquarters for an overseas student program (OSSCEDU) and they make quick and tasty boba with views where the boba topping is already included in the bubble tea cost. i envy and appreciate this space exists for the boston community, and i'm grateful i get to experience it as we were looking for a quiet spot to work from. the workers were helpful and quick and there is plenty of comfy seating in the afternoon. we quite enjoyed the soft lofi instrumental songs in the background. the natural sunlight and views from the long wide windows are so nice and peaceful too! highly recommend!! bathroom is quite nice - 3 single stall and very clean, at least the women's room. i tried the taiwan oolong bubble tea with oat milk and crystal boba didn't even remember to take a photo til i was halfway done with it.

the place is very spacious and i will say it is designed for you when you just want to feel relax and enjoy time with your friends ~ nice ambiance. staff is so nice, polite, and attentive. first time here and will say drinks are ok while the key lime cheesecake is absolutely recommended!!! it is so good. during summer, you can strolling or sitting while sipping the drinks and enjoying the breeze with watching the sea...

Brilliantly made matcha that you can enjoy while taking in a serene view of the bay. And the savory croissants are delicious, too. Highly recommend.

Wow what a hidden gem along the harbor walk in east boston! Very close to maverick station (blue line) and the tall ships. Inside was a huge cozy space and outdoor seating at the patio bas the perfect city view! Their white boba were soft and chewy and the jasmine tea was super fragrant. I'm excited to come back for more! You can order from a machine or a cute little window. Very accessible and simple service.

A great boba place in Eastie! I finally made my way over on a snowy weekday afternoon and was quickly able to find this place right by the water. It's a small stand inside of what looks like a student center. I was greeted by a corgi owned by one of the workers from an office and decided on getting the Taiwanese milk tea with boba. It has 2 stars showing a light brew compared to oolongs that were 3-5 stars for a darker brew tea. There was 1 person working who made my drink quickly and I was on my way back into the cold. This was definitely a lightly brewed tea and the milk slightly overpowered the tea. The boba was perfectly cooked to chewy perfection. This would be a great place to check out again in the summer when you could enjoy the weather outside on the patio.

My friends and I came by here after having lunch in East Boston. This is very pedestrian friendly and beautiful ocean and city line view. The space itself is huge with lots of comfy and cozy chairs to enjoy your tea in. We got their Iced matcha latte, grapefruit yakult tea, and peach oolong tea, Matcha cinnamon bun. Even with the matcha being 30% sweetness, it was still plenty sweet in my opinion. My peach oolong was more lemonade tart than peach but the chewy boba was in fact chewy. My favorite was my friend's grapefruit yakult which was comfortably sweet and just slightly creamy with the additional pudding topping. Matcha bun was served warm and almost croissant like in texture. Overall, very cute place with fast efficient service. Would come again!

Cute bubble tea shop in East Boston! It was super easy to order on the kiosk inside. I got a Mango Pomelo Drink which was really fresh! The drink was a bit heavy as it had cheese foam so definitely - dessert drink. I did wait a while for the drink, but the fruit used is tastes very fresh. There is plenty of seating inside which makes it a great place to do work or hangout with friends. When the weather is warmer, you can grab a drink and talk a walk by the waterfront to enjoy the great view outside. The staff was very nice as well. I definitely want to come back to try their milk teas!

We happened to see this spot on our evening walk as it is right by the Harborside path so stopped in to check it out. We ordered the bubble milk tea (can modify sweetness) and Hawaii bubble milk tea. The basic version contains boba (no need for add ons) and we thought the medium size was sufficient. The Hawaii flavor had sort of a strong taste so we preferred the original. We also ordered chewy boba for the Hawaii for an additional $0.75 which didn't taste much different. You order and pay on a convenient kiosk when you walk in and then pickup your order at the pickup window. The inside was cozy with large comfy couches and small coffee tables. Lots of space! Unclear whether there is wifi and we will most definitely be back to check out the daytime harbor views! Subtracting one star for taste, lack of descriptions on kiosk, and cost (a little pricey for boba IMO, $5.50 for medium sized milk tea boba as is). We also kept the plastic cups to reuse them at home :)

Happy to see another boba addition to the east boston area! Located by the Boston harbor, tall ship and piers park. Great place to stop by and grab a refreshing drink and enjoy your stroll in the area. The worker was very nice and helped me with the Instagram giveaway! I got a free t shirt. I got the lemon yakult drink with boba which was refreshing, maybe a tad bit too sour and the boba was just the right amount of chew. I would come again if I was in the area.

What an adorable find! The ample space and cozy sofas make it perfect for hanging out with friends. Being by the water with such a scenic view adds to the charm. I'll definitely be returning to this spot in East Boston frequently. The staff's friendliness only adds to the appeal.

There is a wide variety all with great offerings, and a few snack and drink places and a bar. It is a very nice and huge facility, so stylish. The ambiance is great. There was a bird in the rafters which was kind of funny. Unfortunately there is a not a clear online menu that is up to date with all the restaurants and their individual menus on the main Time Out Market website. You have to go into each restaurant and look at their online ordering POS to get to the menu. It was hard to decide what to eat because I could not look at all the options all at once, i had to walk around and look at the individual restaurant menus one at a time. I ended up choosing the Italian food place POE-lenta. I had a very tasty Creamy Chicken Rigatoni. It came with spicy crushed red pepper and grilled lemon as well. It was a good choice and was enjoyable. I did not finish all the chicken but it was pretty good. I also ordered a very yummy mocktail from the bar. I got a Coco Pom, which the bartender described as kind of a pina colada without the rum and with a pomegranate twist. It was really good, I drank it all. They also have convenient cups and a water tap to fill your water by the the two bars. The restroom was huge and very nice, but the stalls are so dark inside, the lighting was so dim I could not really see anything. I think the building should really work on those light levels. There was some appearance of construction ongoing in the hallway to the restrooms. Time Out is a great place to stop and spend some time, with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. It looked like there was also a stage and large projection screen for events.
