The gentlemen at Mr. Tire helped me out when I had an emergency, and they got me back on the road quickly, efficiently, and kept me advised about the the condition of my tires along the way. I had just started my trip when my low pressure lights came on - two at a time! The young men checked all of my tires, added air, let me know why this might have happened, and sent me on my way in only a few minutes - even though it was pouring rain at the time! They have outstanding customer service and solid mechanics: Tim, who I have dealt with at the service desk there, is one of the few honest people I have interacted with at auto repair shops over my lifetime. Wish I could give a zero. Liars is the best word for this place. Unskilled and liars. Took 2+ weeks to finally get a part (that they said would take 4-5 days) then they say it will take an hour to do the work. They ordered the WRONG parts but tried to force it anyways resulting in more damage to the vehicle. They then hand over the box of wrong parts after 3 hours of waiting and say they can't do it. Now the vehicle is more damaged and another place has to charge double the original cost to fix the original issue and the new issue caused by them. When I attempted to speak with them about it they wrote it off as simple mistake and said 'we gave you the parts so that should help' you gave me parts that aren't even for my vehicle and cause more damage to the car. Horrible place, don't go to them or Monro Tire which is owned by the same people. read more

I recently needed tires for my wifes car I thought they where slightly expensive but they installed them in a decent time all is good. I had a quote on the exhust for 450 from another company from just past the Catalytic to the back of the car and had a appointment in a couple days, however when they told me the car was almost done the service manager in owego mentioned he could fix the exhust I just needed a muffler and some hardware. He said it would be $150 plus hardware. So I paid for the tires and left the car till the next day . When I went to pay for the exhust he charge me $610 just to get a muffler installed. I have been sitting here for 1.5 hours on hold waiting to talk to someone in the corporpate office. This not the first time I have been overcharge here but will be the last. read more

I dont even know where to begin other than lesson should have been learned the first time. I was a regular customer keeping my vehicle up to date on oil changes asked repeatedly each visit what I should have done with the miles at each point I was told all was up to date and set. Well lets start with in February or March I went in for an oil change which I do regularly I was told by the interim manager that I should do the synthetic due to my mileage and the frequency of oil changes ( I drive alot for my job) so I did that and paid for that. When I went back in to have the oil changed again I was told the same thing and I said yes please do thats what I had done last time. Well looking through the paperwork it is not what they put in yet it is what I paid for and went longer on my oil change as I could with the synthetic oil I was told. At this visit they also put on 2 new tires in the front. I paid no attention as they are a tire store and do know what size tires needed. Well I went in this weekend as I needed a new tire for the back and as the tech finished he came out and stated to the guy at the front counter he could not put the size tires on that he was told to when asked why not he said they were the wrong size. He then stated that the tires on the front (which they put on 2 months ago) were the wrong size!! I heard this and went out and asked what was going on and the guy at the front counter said oh no big deal you have the same size tires on each axle its ok. I said um no it is not ok so he went out and spoke with the manager (who put them on 2 months ago!!!!!) and came back in and said they could not do it that day but to come back and they would put the correct tires on. I then explained that I thought my AC hose might be clogged and my front floor was soaked when I use the AC and I knew it took 5 minutes to unclog it and he stated they do not work with AC to take it to the dealership. I leave get home and have an offer on my Mr Tire App so I look and it is for free AC inspection Hummm!!!! Today I am in Cortland hot as can be outside not using AC as I dont want my floor soaked any more and could not take the heat. Only place right there is Mr. Tire so I pull in and explain to the gentleman there (Kirk who was wonderful) what was going on and what happened day prior at Owego store and he said oh yea it will take me 5 minutes to fix sit tight. Pretty quick he comes in and asks me to come take a look at what he had done and to tell me that the door under the panel where the cabin filter is is missing he also showed me the filter which he was disgusted with it was fermented and disgusting as it needed to be changed probably a while ago. He said when they do inspections it is mandatory to check this stuff and they never put the door on and never told me and read above where I said I always asked what should or needed to be done. This is a dealer item only and could be pricey. He also told me that the different size tires will screw up my anti lock brake system. I have a jeep so good thing it is not 4 wheel or all wheel drive so tell me who is paying for all of this crap that these techs did/did not do????!!! After they put the correct tires on they will never get my business again!! read more

My husband and I are visiting friends in town and we got a flat tire due to a nail caused presumably by construction by Davis Hill Road. We had our two year old twins with us. He claimed that he was too swamped to patch up the tire, even though there was an empty lift. I'm sorry but I would think that five minutes of your time wouldn't be such an inconvenience for people who don't know their way around Owego. You've lost our friends as customers as well as any other people they know. read more

We have been customers at this location for several years and have had all 4 of our vehicles inspected, purchased tires, had oil changes. etc. We have spend thousands of dollars here over the years. Since Les retired and Mr. Tire took over for Kost we have been more than disappointed. We leave our cars one at a time and are told we will get a phone call when it's done. The last two times our vehicle was done for hours and no one called us to let us know. We finally had to call. This was never the case before. We always received a phone call in a couple of hours that the vehicle was ready. Today we dropped our car off at 9am, it is 6pm and our car has not even been brought in yet and there are two cars ahead of it. All we are having done is an oil change and a tire rotation. We have been without this vehicle all day. This is unacceptable and very poor customer service. read more

We had been a customer of this establishment for several years with our 5 cars while it was called Kost and had never had an issue. Recently, I took my daughter's car in to get an inspection and was told she needed 2 new tires. This was after I had just purchased new tires for the car less than a year earlier. They refused to honor their warranty on the tires stating that something must be wrong with the car's alignment even though we previously had an alignment done at the same place (they had it on record that an alignment was performed). The tires had also been rotated regularly by the same establishment proving that the tires were cared for appropriately, yet they still refused to honor their warranty. It is unacceptable business practice to claim to provide a warranty but then not honor it even in light of proof! they have now lost my business due to this. read more
