Writing this review as a woman that shopped a few tire install spots with annoying/unwarranted attitude. Shipped 4 run flat tires from tire rack.com to Mr. Tire PXV 2 days in advance. Called Mr. Tire to check availability for installation ahead of doing so on a Monday. They had availability for a Wednesday AM install along with a state inspection. Cost was reasonable for the tire size (50", four tires $140). I've been driving on the tires for 5 days and they ride well. No issues with alignment, balance etc. Don from the shop called me Monday afternoon to confirm the appointment as I scheduled with the Mr. Tire call center (normal to do so). Tires from Tire Rack (from DE warehouse) safely arrived/intercepted there on Tuesday and were ready for install. I dropped my car 8:30am and car was ready +30min post the ETA provided 1:30pm vs 2pm. No big deal for me. Had I dropped it at 7:30am it would have been sooner. Generally didn't feel scammed here --as sad as that bar is to write about as a woman-- requesting auto care services. Also, car was returned without any new damage. Thank you for an uneventful experience. Based on my one specific scenario/ data point, I would recommend this spot. It's worth noting that 260 Bridge Cafe is across the street so if you were going to 'wait' for your car, that cafe (and quite frankly all of Bridge St) is at your disposal and totally within walking distance! This place is an absolute LIFE SAVER. They have serviced my car time and time again and have replaced my tires at half the price my dealership had proposed. The staff is so so so accommodating and honest. They have always been friendly and have made their best efforts to fit me in as soon as possible and have my car done within the day. I've been in Philly proper for about 7 months now, but I do miss the convenience of going to Mr. Tire in Phoenixville. My husband and I lived a couple of blocks away and loved that we had a reliable mechanic within walking distance. It felt more like a neighborhood garage than a chain. Mike always treated us with politeness, good customer service, and respect. Even if we didn't bring in a coupon, he would always give us any applicable promotions or sales. Turnaround was always quick when we'd take one of the cars in, and Mike always knew us by name and knew which cars we drove. I know a lot of women dread going to mechanics because we fear being taken advantage of due to lack of automobile knowledge--that was never the case here, at least for me. Occasionally, we'd even drop the cars off without scheduling them in advance (for flat tires, check engine lights, etc.) and had them repaired and back to us within a day or two. Mr. Tire also has Saturday hours, which was always very convenient! After we moved to Philadelphia, I had to have a tire replaced after getting a flat, and I called Mike to see if my tires were maybe still under warranty. Sadly, they were not, but he recommended I could go see the folks at Mr. Tire in Cherry Hill, NJ, and he knew the shop manager there personally. While I love my neighborhood mechanic in the city, again in walking distance of my house, there's nothing better than being able to get the personalized service of a local mechanic combined with the speedy turnaround of a chain store. I made an appointment to have my state inspection done. I showed up 10 min before scheduled. Day prior to my appointment I called to confirm and they said they would have my car for two hours. I get there, guy behind counter says 5-6 hours, is unapologetic and rude. I went to the place up the street. Nuff said. read more

I was shopping for tires when I stopped in. Found the showroom to be very dirty and cluttered. The waiting area is the size of a closet. The attitude is indifferent. First impression is no one cares and the appearance reflects it. read more

So .... I had bought these new Bridgestone pilot AS from the Mr. Tire in New Jersey where I lived. Recently relocated to the area, had the car inspected and brought it into an oil change at a local Tires Plus. Tire indicator light started flashing last week, tried to check the pressure on one of the tires couldn't get an accurate reading. Mystified. Brought it here to the Mr Tire location to Springfield, they took one look at It and they said whoever was last working on the car over inflated the tires by like 20 psi. They checked on my invoice with regards to the purchase for the tires, adjusted the tire pressures, give it a test drive and the light went out. I've had no problem since. No charge. What can I say, this is good service, front desk was highly professional, no complaints, it just doesn't get better than this. that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Had an amazing experience getting my car inspected here. The people running the shop were friendly and didn't have a pressuring attitude at all. My girlfriend took her car in for a brake issue, which turned out to be a stick in the brake, they didn't charge us a penny. $50 for an inspection and sticker. Would recommend to anyone read more
