On this particular day, the organization wanted to acknowledge a few employees and my coworker and I were responsible for ordering and picking up the cookies. Upon walking in, there was no one at the register or nearby. There was no way of signalling the individual that customers were in the store. We stood in the store for a while and made some loud noise to see if anyone would hear us. After 30 minutes of waiting, someone did finally come to the front. There was no acknowledgement of "Sorry for waiting, I was in the middle of ..... thank you for your patience. How can I help you." A simple acknowledgement would have been great. We understand if you're the only person working and you get caught up doing something, there's going to be some wait time. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were annoyed and it seemed the individual was also annoyed by the noises we were making to try to get someone's attention. Despite all the annoying experiences, the cookies were delicious and everyone enjoyed them. We wish the customer service was better presented and hopefully, Insomnia Cookies can place a better system that notifies whoever's working that day that people have walked into the building.
