I am still giving this place 4 stars bc we ultimately had a great time the sister establishment across the road was a lot of fun - the bartender was lovely and our waitress at sup dogs was really sweet. We did have several interactions with the Hostess on Saturday around noon 4/18 if you wanna check in on that ... unreal rudeness and her could not be bothered attitude was atrocious. We did even ask her if we could WAIT for another table and she her response was "this is all we have..." and more so seemed bothered that we would even ask such a question. We obviously knew you guys were busy and were more than happy to keep waiting but just seemed very unhelpful and super unwelcoming vibe. read more

Food was great! Had fried green beans for an app, came out fast with ranch and a delicious special sauce (same with our dogs). I had the "New Yorker" dog comes with sourkraut and mustard, absolutely delicious. I upgraded my side to sweet potato tots!!!! Came with honey drizzle and something else, so good!! This was an awesome stop during my road trip. Parking was pretty easy and I went during lunchtime. Service ladies were real nice and got my table and food pretty good. The outdoor section was chill and I got my food in no time. Ordered a burger with lettuce wrap, a Sup Dog, and cheese tots. Burger was really good. Saved some carbs by going with the wrap. The sup dog was a really good hot dog. Their sauce was tasty and the chili above average for chili dogs. Should have ordered one of the specialty drinks because they looked awesome. They apparently make their own vodka and have a cocktail bar across the street. Service was a little delayed but I think that was on me as I walked in and just sat down. Once I caught someone, she was great. Indoor, outdoor, and upstairs seating. Very reasonable prices for what you get. Not sure how this was ranked as the best college bar, but I'm old and it was way too clean and nice to me to be considered that. It was late on a Sunday night and we were looking for a quick bite and a beer downtown. Most of the places were closed so we opted for SUP Dogs. It was a nice evening since the rain stopped so we sat outside and Olivia was our server. We ordered and the food and service was very prompt and friendly. I also had pickle fries which came as fried, breaded spears. They were good but I prefer the fried chip shape. My partner had a delicious chili dog which was a perfect smaller size for his little appetite. We got into a very nice conversation with Olivia and since the place wasn't too busy, it afforded her the time to have a pleasant chat. I'm just in town for the night, and it's a college town. Most places were closed, and this place was suggested. "Go check out the hot dog joint." I was looking for a steak house, so this was last case scenario. Let me tell you, this wasn't a hot dog joint, it was THE place in town. The food is burgers and dogs, but the atmosphere is amazing. We all decided to order burgers and fries. I had the Smokehouse Burger with bacon/cheese fries. The fries were good, but the cheese on it was a little hard, not much pull, still great taste. The burger looked absolutely delicious! When I bit it, I immediately knew that they use low quality meat. Everyone at the table was eating their burger quietly, until I broke the ice. My husband and I love stopping by for some good food. They have great options at affordable prices. Since it's located next to the university, it definitely has a college-town vibe. All the workers are students, and the service has always been good--we've never had a bad experience. I'm absolutely in love with their wing sauce! I literally order their wings just for the sauce. This was actually one of the first places we ate at when we moved to town, and it's been a favorite ever since. One thing I really appreciate is that the outdoor seating is always available, so we can bring our fur baby along. They've even been kind enough to give her a bowl of water and a hot dog sausage! This was not the friendliest establishment I've ever been to. Although we were greeted by a friendly person at the door that was the extent of it. We went up to the bar and had a seat to have a few drinks. We were stared at by staff members for at least 5 minutes and someone finally came to the end of the bar where we were sitting. Barstool's best college bar three times over and always a winner in my book! As an ECU alumni, the memories are endless at Sup Dogs. This spot was our go-to bar for every occasion including mug night Mondays (is this still a thing?), just meeting up with friends or grabbing an 11 am drink after a daunting nursing school exam. 10 years later, Sup Dogs is giving me allll the feels. The Sup sauce is exactly how I remembered it and those Sup Crushes are truly one of a kind. I am a waitress and I understand when people get busy and it takes a little bit to get waited on but we were there for 40 minutes with no service and there was one other table on the deck and they had payed and a man with a mustache and a waitress walked by us several times and ignored us and we kept saying service please and we need help. Then a table walks up the deck and gets waited on within 2 minutes of them sitting there and we were still ignored So as I get up to leave because another table had walked up and was getting waited on with in 2 minutes of them sitting there, I call the number and ask for a manager, the man with the mustache claims he is the manager and is watching us leave as I am explaining what is happening and all he has to say is "I see you walking away" and I said that's great and he then says "there was a waitress on the way to help you" after we were sitting there for forty minutes with only one other table on the deck and being completely ignored but everybody is running towards one who had been sitting there for two minutes, as a waitress I can say that this is completely unacceptable I would have got fired if I let a table sit there for 40 minutes wether it was in my section or not if you see a table that has been sitting there for that long with out being waited on on, you wait on them period. So we go back because no where else is open at that point and they send a waitress over there that was very rude to us and they knew exactly who we were and still made us pay. read more

As an ECU alumna, I absolutely love Sup Dogs and whenever I visit ECU, we eat here! We love the extension of upstairs/outside! I always order the burger with the bacon cheese fries on it and have never been disappointed. Paired with an orange Sup Crush and you have the best possible lunch! My children wanted to try the sup crush so our waitress squeezed an orange into a lemonade. They loved it and talked about it all weekend! So nostalgic to be back here with my kids. I realize that it's graduation weekend because our daughter is a graduate today and we have supported your business for over 10 years as Greenville residents as well as ECU attendees. However, your front staff's service today was very unprofessional and down right rude. We sat by the hostess stand for over an hour after being told that it would only be a 20-30 minute wait and seeing table after table being sat with larger numbers of people to only keep being told they checked in before us when we watched them walk up after we did. Some of them knew the staff personally and were given "favors". While we did already purchase drinks and spend money in the business, I don't know that this type of service will bring us back to your establishment. College kids that have self entitlement attitudes are ruining everything. read more

The location is very cute with a lovely outdoor patio and as a fan of the office, I am tickled by the sign inside that says "It smells like UpDog in here". This 1 star rating is in no way reflective of the great service received from Nadia M, had the western dog combo and a beer was pretty good and hit the spot. After cashing out I decided to take a look inside so I was able to describe it to my kids, this is where I had an issue as I have a service dog. I had picked her up since she is on the small side and entered the front door, let the hostess know she was registered service dog and I just wanted to look inside, that's when the manager headed my way and told me we couldn't be there, I tried to explain she was a registered service dog and could be there with me and caught nasty attitude after a small exchange she huffed away and stared at us from behind the counter.
