I could have ate a couple more. The next day I ate the apple danish. It held up nicely a day later and wasn't all dried out. It was reminiscent of the apple danishes that McDonalds used to sell years ago, but 10x better. The apple filling was a sweet delight that i can rarely find. I really enjoyed the pastries here and everything tasted way better than they looked. If I would have known the goods were going to be great, I would have bought a lot more. To bad I won't be back out that way until next summer.

Last time there was a bar filled with baked dog treats. Also you can get other kinds of items such as clothing and ornaments if looking for something decorative. The stuff in here is all local. Her shop is filled with items from local artisans. Lots of well made items - clothing, ornaments, pins, and more. With this fan favorite flavor, NBC takes their traditional white cake and stuffs it with OREO cookie pieces (along with their amazing cream cheese frosting). The cake itself is a white cake that I would actually argue is a light yellow. To be honest, I was a little surprised they didn't go with a chocolate base flavor with it being an OREO cake. I'm not complaining as I prefer yellow cake. I was initially skeptical that OREO pieces were in it as it kind of looked simply like chocolate cake combined with white cake. I could not have been further from the truth though as the cookie pieces offer a distinct, crisp texture. Further evidence was provided when I found a piece of OREO cookie that had some of the distinct cream filling still with it. One of the best aspects of NBC's cakes is the exceptional moistness of the cakes and that holds true with this one. There's the same great ratio of sweet cream cheese frosting to cake, with the pièce de résistance being a giant dollop on its summit. This is slightly deceitful and the first time I saw the bundt cakes I thought they would need more of their signature cream cheese frosting, but trust me, there's plenty (and I'm a frosting nut). A few minutes after the order was picked up by DoorDash, the driver realized that it was not very close and said they would not be delivering the order and I could contact DoorDash for a refund. I did not use DoorDash, I used Crumbl, who outsourced the delivery to DoorDash. I then called the Gurnee store to get my refund, but no one would answer the phone for me to get a refund so now I have to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. You would think that the store would reach out to me when DoorDash brought the order back to the store, but sadly they did not. Not likely to order anything from Crumbl again given the poor experience.
