But that's not what I'm writing to you about -- I'm writing because shopping at your store was a great experience! ...from the moment we stepped through the door of Guff and were greeted (by Schroeder) to being assisted with checking out the table/being shown how the drop leafs work (by Schroeder) to paying for the table and a couple of ceramic cups and saucers (the latter just having arrived/but Schroeder looked them up/"no problem") to having our table prepped for pick up (by Paul and Schroeder) to being greeted the next day with a smile (by Paul) to the assist with the table being lifted into the back of our SUV (by Paul) ...it could not have been a better experience!! We will definitely be back -- AND we'll pass on to everyone we know and then some, what a great place to shop Guff is!

Some really nice antique furniture in very great condition. The staff is very knowledgable and will spend a great deal of time helping you pick out the perfect piece. They have products ranging from beds, artwork, dining tables, cabinets, chairs, carpets, desks and everything else. They always have new products in store every time I check them out. 10/10 would recommend everyone to check them out for all your furniture needs.

However, I won't be doing so here again. I made an online order and after I was charged for the full amount, the seller took one item off the list. Maybe it was unavailable, I don't know. No explanation was provided. However, I was not refunded. I went in to pick up the items and the staff did not take the opportunity to address it or refund me at that time, either. As my credit card statement appeared weeks later, I noticed and followed up via email. Two days later I called and was treated berated by the staff for calling before he had a chance to respond to my email. I asked if we could resolve it on the phone and he rudely told me he had a line of customers (I mean, okay, but I've been there, sort of unlikely on a Thursday morning) and essentially hung up on me. Dude, if you're so busy, why answer the phone? Anyway, if you like spending hundreds at a place where they don't bother doing refunds and then yell at you for following up, this is your place. I'll go elsewhere from here on out.

The repair was done 'in house' at Green's Antiques and I couldn't be more happy with the result. The chairs look like the original and the antique paint finish touch up is impossible to tell from the original antique paint. Bev promised her "guy" would do a great job and he did! He locked the door behind us. I have never been treated like this before in my life. It was weird. I wondered if it was because my husband wasn't white. I was looking at a couple of porcelain flowers to add to my collection and wanted to look at a few larger prices of furniture at the back, They didn't want my business and now will never have it. However, the Estate Sales Ontario owner had promised us that she would dispose of any unsold items in my brother's apartment. (This promise was also on her website at the time.) This did not happen. We were left with one week to dispose of various large items ourselves in a difficult time of Covid. The owner promised a prompt reckoning and payment from the auction. This also did not happen. It took several months and repeated reminders for any payment to arrive. The owner told us she had "overlooked" our payment because she was so busy. I live in another province. It took three months for items I bid on to arrive. Expect politeness and promises when you first talk to this owner but little follow-through. Very disappointing service.

They do sell items that are supposed to be passed from one generation to another (treated as investment) though I did see some decent prices on some brands.
