But that's not what I'm writing to you about -- I'm writing because shopping at your store was a great experience! ...from the moment we stepped through the door of Guff and were greeted (by Schroeder) to being assisted with checking out the table/being shown how the drop leafs work (by Schroeder) to paying for the table and a couple of ceramic cups and saucers (the latter just having arrived/but Schroeder looked them up/"no problem") to having our table prepped for pick up (by Paul and Schroeder) to being greeted the next day with a smile (by Paul) to the assist with the table being lifted into the back of our SUV (by Paul) ...it could not have been a better experience!! We will definitely be back -- AND we'll pass on to everyone we know and then some, what a great place to shop Guff is!

Some really nice antique furniture in very great condition. The staff is very knowledgable and will spend a great deal of time helping you pick out the perfect piece. They have products ranging from beds, artwork, dining tables, cabinets, chairs, carpets, desks and everything else. They always have new products in store every time I check them out. 10/10 would recommend everyone to check them out for all your furniture needs.

Having been in a lot of antique shops, this spot desperately needs an 'organiser', someone to help arrange the aisles, make sense of the stock. A lot of it gets lost, missed due to the clutter. A few people inside makes it difficult to navigate the very tight thin aisles. Looking forward to returning.

The owners have seemingly 'ransacked the universe' to put together a sweet collection of new, old and reworked items. It's one of my favourite places to gift shop and occasionally pick up things for myself. My boyfriend hasn't taken off his up-cycled plaid handkerchief scarf since I gifted it to him for x-mas. Most of the things sold at Ransack are made by local artisans but there's quite a few solid vintage finds(old posters, records and some furnishings) as well. Very happily there are no old fur coats or stuffed dead animals at all to ruin my vintage shopping experience or create that narsty smell you find at some vintage stores (I'm looking at you Kensington market). This store is strictly awesome. You really need to discover this place for yourself though. There are so many things to regardez-vous I find myself circling the shop several times taking it all in before I can decide what I can't leave without.

They should truly be on an episode of hoarders! It is unfortunate that they have not reorganized their inventory because they have some interesting pieces. If you step into the store you are overwhelmed by all of the merchandise. It is a challenge to manoeuvre yourself around the store and it is very difficult to really get a good look and appreciate the pieces. Typically the best items are displayed out front on the street. Prices seemed a little high for me considering the quality of the furniture. They have a decent website with new arrivals posted weekly. Captain's Treasures has some nice booty. However, it is not too bootylicious for ya babe.

whats nice about this antique store is that you can sense its sensibility. theres a theme of style…read morethat pervades most of the objects and pieces of furniture that form the mini maze of this store. the furniture seems simple in design, like you might have found it at someones cottage - or what used to be their home and after you bought it you called it the cottage. on virtually each piece the paint has half chipped off and the other half is spotted in whatever colour remains. i suppose that this is the way things wear, but its funny because it looks like it all wears in the same way...like it was planned...like they made it look like that..hmmm. we all know it doesnt matter...because how can you resist a mini piano made of wood, or a mini dollhouse made of wood. appearing like little jokes during a wedding ceremony, are these funny knitted hats and TIT PILLOWS. like you could go to sleep at night and wake up on a cushiony pillow of knitted boobs. finally a useful product. this place is right up my alley and i know what kind of stuff i will always be able to find there.

My experience with the owner, Diana, was very positive. I asked her about an availability of an item on her website and she went as far as digging through her back storage and asking her supplier. Although she couldn't find more inventory, I was impressed with the effort she put in to locate it. I would definitely shop here again.
