Explained the situation and was told they can do the replacement same day at 2pm; we had called at around 0930-1000. Surprisingly, they called us no less than an hour later and was informed to come in earlier. Now, it is 1235 in the afternoon, we have a brand new back window, freshly vacuumed trunk, and heading out of town. Gilbert at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and understanding of the situation. He did his best to console us, asking us about our vacation, and talking about the good things Seattle has to offer. Even the staff we initially spoke with was straightforward while also being apologetic about the entire incident. My two front windows got broken into and needed to be replaced. After I picked my car up the first time I realized that my passenger's side window wouldn't move with the automatic controllers anymore. So then I have to go back and explain the situation and get that fixed. Then I had to wait until giving someone a ride to learn that the passenger's side door wouldn't open from the inside anymore. I didn't bother going back to this place to get that fixed and I won't be coming back for anything else. read more

My side window was broken by a vandal overnight who got a bunch of people on our block. Gilbert was able to source an exact OEM replacement window and schedule me the next day at a good price. While the door was disassembled, they were also able to get all the loose glass pieces out so the door shuts without any rattling. He's a little bit curt on the phone, but don't be concerned. Wow. What great service! Some jerk shattered my passenger side window in the middle of the night last week. (Nothing valuable in the car.) I called Gilbert at MS Glass in Seattle on NW 85th just a few blocks from my home, gave him my car make and model, and he said I could bring it in right away, which I did. (While I have driven by his shop hundreds of times over the past 40 years, I had never needed his services before.) Two hours later, Gilbert called to say my car was ready to go, including patching a rock chip on the windshield. When I picked it up, he had completely shop-vacced the interior of the car, which still had a lot of glass in it when I dropped it off. I was absolutely delighted and grateful, and promised him a glowing Yelp review. I also learned that his name is actually Gilberto. Took less than an hour and a half. You can wait or go shopping at Fred Meyer, etc. across the street. Make an appointment so the can get pick up the replacement glass. MS Glass Outlet fixed my truck's vandalized window and did a fine job. However, the service was exceedingly and inexplicably rude. Instead of "Hello" when I walked in the door at my scheduled time, the clerk (owner?) barked at me asking if I'd seen the sign taped to the door about where to park. When I asked if he was this rude to everyone or just to me, he didn't apologize but instead doubled down, saying he wasn't rude at all and demanded to know if I'd read the sign. wtf If I had not already paid a $50 deposit when I scheduled the appointment, I would have left and found somewhere else. read more

I called and got an appointment within 2 hours. The service was fast and they gave me a time frame of only two hours and they completed the job in one hour. The service cost me one third of Safelite cost and I have had to take my car back to Safelite over 10 times because my window still won't roll up after they supposedly replaced it for nearly 1,000 and I had a 4 hour window for service. I have been dealing with MS Glass close to 10 years now. They have the best prices and service. This company does not mess around and they work hard to get the job done fast and right. Admittedly I tried one of those companies that advertise on TV but they were expensive, the service was awful and I wasted three weeks waiting for them to solve my problem when I got a same day appointment with MS Glass at a fraction of the cost. This place is not worth the risk. I went in for a quick job (replacing the glass on my side view mirror). I came back 30 minutes later and found this new 3" scar on the interior of the driver's side door panel. The best I can guess is that, whoever moved the vehicle, was holding something hot that burned this mark into the door. They insisted it was a cigarette burn. 1 - this car is never smoked in. 2 - that's very clearly not a cigarette burn. I'm sure the side view mirror work is fine, but the staff is careless and you risk damaging your vehicle. Edit: Turns out, the mirror work is *not* fine. I've got some very obvious sun damage on the paint on my mirror that needs to be fixed. No biggie, it's on my list to take it to a body shop. Well, the staff at MS Glass chose to put masking tape directly on to the damaged paint spot, rather than on any of the other available spots that would risk less damage to the paint. Of course, when I pulled the tape off, plenty of paint came with it. read more

The service was quick, but they are mean, rude, and dishonest. We were told that they would clean the car and glass pieces of the shattered window, so we did not need to clean, but they did not clean well. I called and asked them if they can clean the car again, but they said that they only do 90% of cleaning, and the details has to be done at car detailing store. It was definitely not 90% of cleaning. I told the guy I wish I was informed that when I made appt, then I was told that they do not inform that to customers. Glass pieces are everywhere, on dashboard, inside console compartment and cup holders, and floor. The receptionist was offering discounted price over the phone to another customer if it is cash payment, so I asked him do I also get discount if I pay in cash, but he said, "I do not discuss that with you." The fixed window makes weird noise, and there is some chemical stain on the window/door frame that does not go away. I would not recommend this place. read more

They seemed to have a reasonable price. I have so much regret for seeking a 40 dollar price reduction from who I should've gone with. I brought my car in after it was vandalized. I pay and they tell me two hours. They finished in about 1 so all seems great. I get back in my car and there is still glass EVERYWHERE. Dashboard, seat floor, rear seats, console; you name it, there's glass. I ask the guy who fixed my window if he can vacuum it a little better and he lets me know it's an annoyance. Spends another 20 seconds vacuuming and says ok all done. I cut myself several times over the coming weeks. No huge deal but really whack. Issue is, 2 days later I put my window down and it won't go back up. After about 20 minutes it works again so all good. Well about 5 weeks later I turn my car in and the window goes down on its own. Now it won't go back up and we are in the middle of a storm. I called the company and the GM is beyond rude. Defensive, accusatory attitude. Saying it's my fault for not bringing it in the first time. I told him look man this isn't personal and I don't care that this might be your mistake, can we just get it checked out. Because he seemed to take everything I said personally and I was speaking in Spanish, I thought maybe there's a language barrier. He had an accent, but I had assumed he was Hispanic, so I considered maybe he's Brazilian or from a different nationality. They tend to speak some Spanish but I might be having a disconnect in communication. So I said, do you prefer to speak in Spanish or English. The next day when I met him he lets me know I'm racist for asking him which language Her preferred to speak. If this was the only incident we had I wouldn't have taken it personally but after him being such a jerk from beginning to end I took this immensely personally. I am a Mexican born American. I am beyond proud of all my Mexicans and fellow Latina Americans in general. To make such an ignorant assumption of me based on a simple question really hurt. They took the panel apart and put it back together. All of a sudden everything works just fine so I'm guessing it probably was an error of theirs. All in all I have water damage on my seats from my window locking up. I have glass that I had to vacuum out myself, and accusations of racism because the GM felt attacked at me asking him which language he prefers. My car window was smashed in while I was at work, and I had to problem solve since I couldn't leave it on the street overnight. Without realizing, I called right at their closing time but was not rushed on the phone, was given some options to help work around my schedule and get the repair done quickly, and was able to drop off same day. My repair was done in the exact window (pun intended) that I was quoted, and actually done a bit earlier than anticipated. I worked with Gilbert from the first phone call, and he was communicative, patient and on top of everything! When I went to pick up I asked for the keys to quickly test the window (as I'd had repairs on other vehicles where the track was off and I had already paid), and he completely understood and didn't mind at all that I check before paying. I'd absolutely go here again, only had time to call one other place for price comparison but they were both within $10 of one another. Seriously be cautious if you go thru these guys. Our car was broken into on 7/3 and we needed our front passenger window replaced. We called around to multiple shops for quotes. When we called this place we first talk to Mike. He gave us a quote. We read the reviews and were hesitant b/c they were pretty mixed. We were a little desperate b/c we wanted it fixed that day but it was technically a holiday b/c of the 4th so open shops were limited. We decided to go with them and take our chances. They were the closest and given a decent quote. When we called back a different guy answered. He asked if were given a quote when we said he had just talked to Mike. We said no, to see if he would quote us the same. It should be the same across the board. He proceeded to tell us we needed to take pictures and would quote us from there. WHAT??? No place asked for pictures. Also, we were just quoted 5 minutes earlier from you guys. When we asked to speak to Mike we were told "he wasn't there" which could've been true...but still a bit shady. We decided not to go with them b/c we got bad vibes from the second call. We said thank you and we'd call back. Well they ended up calling us multiple times. We answered once to say take our name off the books we are no longer interested and the guy says "there's something wrong with us, what's wrong? what happened?" super pushy and rude. NO THANK YOU! Both our cars had cracked windshields for what seemed like a year because we didn't know who to go to for replacement. Our neighbor had the major national brand show up in their driveway one day and replace their windshield and the neighbor said he was quite pleased, so we tried that company that sounds like lafe-sight. Read my one-star review of that horrific experience. I was taking my dog to the vet in Greenwood a few weeks ago and drove by this place, saw them replacing windshields, then stopped in on my way home. No frills, no problems. Made appointments for both my cars and the price was a little over half of what that crappy national company charged. Both windshields are in good shape now. I knocked one star off because my wife's car had a toll pass scotch taped to the windshield, a temporary install following the disastrous experience with lafe-sight, and they failed to note it and give it to my wife or ask her if she wanted it attached to the new windshield. They also appear to have lost the black plastic shielding for the wires going to the rain sensor, just a cosmetic oops. Overall, though, fast and done right. read more

I called around to a bunch of places that were all booking ~2 weeks out, but this place was able to (1) locate the glass panels I needed and order them on my behalf, (2) lock my car up overnight to get it out of the rain, (3) replace the glass the next morning, and (4) was flexible when I needed an extra day to come pick it up. They were friendly, helpful, fair, and flexible. I felt really lucky to find them in the nick of time (they were about to close, but didn't rush me to get the car over there) and get this shitty situation resolved so seamlessly. I called at 10:50a and got a same day appointment for 1p. They said it was going to be about an hour. Before that hour was up- well before I was going to leave to pick up my car- they called to say there was an error with the packaging of the glass I needed, that they were going to the warehouse to get the correct product, and I got a call less than an hour after the original quote saying my car was ready to go. So my kid called these guys to get a windshield and then it's started to snow and he was concerned with driving his small car from lake Stevens to Seattle so he called 4 days in advance to cancel . You would think a good bussiness would ndersyand and not rip a kid off. But that's not what this bussiness is the guy on the phone dismissed and mocked him for not wanting to drive in icy roads. He then tried to manipulate and coerce him into still having his windshield changed here. This guy was just a straight up jerk for no reason I wouldn't ever ever use them if you give them a deposit they will steal it from you. They hung up the phone and immediately charge his card 50 bucks this is theft period. I called MS Glass Outlet Seattle Metro because i have a broken driver's side rear view mirror. It is on a shuttle bus so it is not a standard part. I was looking for either a shop to do the repair or information on where to look for the part. After telling me their shop didn't cut glass (!), that they just ordered parts and put them, and that the mirror was a body part not auto glass (news to me), she literally hung up on me. Oh yes, before she hung up on me she said she wan't going to waste any more of my time, which was presumably her version of common courtesy.
