I'm glad I found Al's Windshield Repair & Replacement to fix a cracked windshield on my car. I wasn't sure if the crack could be repaired or if I needed to replace the windshield. Replacing the windshield for my car would have been 10x the cost (and now I realize it would have been unnecessary). Al answered my call immediately and gave me an initial estimate over the phone for a repair. He offered to see and repair my car that afternoon. The timing didn't work for me, so we scheduled it for the following morning. Al was prompt, courteous, friendly and clearly skilled. He contacted me when he was on his way and came to my address to fix the windshield. Within 90 minutes, the work was complete! While the repair doesn't restore the glass to the original new condition, it does do an excellent job. The 15" initial crack is barely visible (looks a bit like a light scratch) and there is just a very small plug in the glass remaining. All rain sensors, cameras, safety sensors, etc. are working as they should. I'm very satisfied with the result and it was definitely worth saving the cost of replacement. I highly recommend Al's services and will have him replace the windshield (too large a crack) for another car of mine. read more

About a month ago a rock chipped my windshield on the freeway, and a repair I initially did through another company was unsuccessful, with that chip turning into a large crack that went about halfway across my windshiekd. I was sure that I was going to have to replace that windshield, but as a last-ditch Hail Mary I got in touch with Al and I'm glad I did because the very next day he fixed me right up. Thanksgiving day, and one our cars had a rock chip that spread into a 6-7 inch crack. we also have another car that had a small 1/4 inch chip. Called Al based on the great reviews. I got a rock chip that went from invisible to small to larger in the course of a day. I was freaking out, imagining my whole windshield crumbling in front of me while I drove home in the rain. I should have called Al rather than trying to fix my windshield myself. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. Al operates his business at a car repair shop/car wash shop off Factoria Blvd nearby Starbucks and a few other restaurants and shops making it convenient to wait around for your repair. Typical small rock chip repairs are within an hour whereas long cracks can take several hours. I unfortunately had to visit Al twice due to two separate windshield incidents. The first was a large crack I tried to fix myself but made worse. Al was able to fix the crack and minimize the visual damage. The second time was a small chip, and I immediately called Al who fixed it within an hour and the fix barely leaves any of the chip visible. His prices are very fair, and cheaper than some of the worse rated chain shops. I highly recommend you call Al next time you need a repair! read more
