We had a lovely evening at this electic restaurant. It's along a side street by the Hampton Inn. The space is charming, with a lot of umbrellas, lights and knicknacks. The staff were all great. Danny, our waiter, prevented us from over ordering. There was live music, but it was too loud for the space. Our party of four split the special Argentinian mixed grill and added a chick pea salad. The salad and beef empanadas were very good. A surprise dish was the melted provolone served with slices of toasted bread. The mixed grill was very good. It's served with chicken thigh, but Danny was able to swap it for white meat chicken. We ended the meal with a very rich dessert crepe. The dishes are all over the map and I'm sure that most people could find something to order or something new to try. This is a unique restaurant that isn't a sports bar/restaurant or a hotel/restauranteur driven place. Definitely worth a visit. We will work our way through the rest of the menu. read more

During our stay at the Hampton at Hilton on Grand Cayman, my wife and I came down here to the local restaurant is Pipers three different times. Three different times they took care of us very well! There were items as we would expect in a full service restaurant, I was surprised delighted to see a bacon and potato salad, something I had. The chickpea salad was also. The last night we were there we had desserts survey as expected delicious as was the dulce de leche crèpe with Nutella, marvelous. JHenie and everyone were great. Typical island atmosphere by the pool music was extremely loud. There's no indoor seating per se island decorations and ambiance. But the food was not great. I ordered the empanadas the beef ones. They were so small which really shocked me coming off of the entree side of the menu. Both of them could fit on top of my cell phone. They came with nothing with them. Just them alone. Tucked behind the Marriott, it's a short walk down palm tree lined Pipers Way. Cool and funky vibe with eclectic decor. Small, off-set bar. Lots of smaller tables nestled in nooks makes for great, romantic dining. Known for the Korean short rib, I followed my gut (and the waiter's recommendation) and went with a burger. Sounds pedestrian, yes, but it was damned delicious! Best burger I've ever had? No. But definitely worth the price. (Incidentally, I'm now a big fan of pairing juicy burgers with a nice bottle of red.) We started with glistening and unctuous tuna crudo. Bright and fresh tasting it surpassed the raw offerings at the another restaurants we tried during our stay (including a sushi place! ) Wife had Bronzini, lightly breaded and simply prepared, the natural taste of the fish was able to shine through. This was one of our best dining experiences while on Grand Cayman! If you're in the area (or even if you aren't, the Island isn't that big) make it a point to have dinner here. Clearly not for me. Giving 3 starts because I didn't try the food. This place was highly recommended by hotel where the restaurant is located. I got confused and thought I was making reservations for the pepper but since I had made the reservation I showed up at 8:10 for my reservation for party of one at 8:15. I was told that it would be ready in 5min I asked where should I wait I was told at the bar. I waited until 8:30 because the 5 min turned in to 20. I honestly feel like the lady just forgot about me so I went up to her and she tells me that she was just about to get me. Walks me to table inside, I didn't wait that long to be given what ever table was left. I said no thank and walked away. Everything happens for a reason, happy that I didn't waste more time when there's better and real local spots walking distance. While waiting there for 25 min plus I read the website and it all just seemed like a fancy way to say it's a restaurant that culturally appropriates from different cultures and Americanizes it for profit. I will add the lady that check me in was very bubbly and kind never once rude. Her only mistake was telling me it was going to be 5 min wait and forgot about me. First impression- decor is super chic and welcoming for travelers. Restaurant seems to get full and staff is always running around (I stayed in the Hotel and would always take notice) The menu options seemed decent , I settled for the short ribs and also the seafood linguine, short ribs were okay nothing crazy , seafood linguine was great. We arrived to ms. Pipers a little early for our reservation but they were very happy to seat us right away. The waitress let us know they do lunch a little differently. You can order up to 3 salads and a protein to go with it. They also have a few other options in terms of food that aren't salad related. I ordered two salads and the beef, and the hummus starter. Some of our party ordered salads and fish and my dad got the hamburger. When I tell you that everything was delicious you better believe it. We have had a lot of disappointing meals on this island but this meal stands out as really flavorful! Not only was the food delicious but the service was impeccable. She was attentive, friendly and informative! We wanted to stay for dessert but we were all full. I asked if we could come just for dessert one day and she said "absolutely! And you can come use the pool too!" My kids were crazy excited about that. So we are planning on doing that one afternoon, too. Don't miss out on this gem.
