However, I was desperately in need of a salon that accepted walk-ins and was accessible for disabled customers, so I decided to give them a try. I am very glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and asked what services I wanted. I requested a shampoo, deep conditioning treatment, and a trim. I was taken right away for my shampoo and deep conditioner. Another stylist set my hair on rollers, and once I was finished under the dryer, another stylist promptly began styling my hair. The entire process was efficient, and all of the stylists I interacted with were friendly, patient, and accommodating. As someone with a disability, I especially appreciated the kindness and patience they showed me. Unfortunately, that is not always the experience disabled customers receive, so their attentiveness meant a great deal. My only minor concern was that during the deep conditioning treatment, I was not initially offered a towel to protect my clothing. I did ask for one because I did not want my shirt to get wet, and it was provided. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the professionalism of the staff. My experience was positive, and I plan to return in the future.

Melissa was so kind, and gentle with my hair. She made my hair look exactly how I wanted it, while helping keep it healthy, despite it being colored before by another salon. I arrived at my appointment 30-40 min late due to really bad traffic. She could have cancelled my appointment, but she didn't. On top of that, when I booked my appointment, I thought what I selected included and wash and blow dry (which it did not), she explained to me that when I booked my online appointment, I selected "box braids" which are not the same at knotless (which is what I wanted). I immediately told her I did not know the difference (as this was my first time getting braids). She explained to me the difference, and that the knotless braids required more prep work, and take longer. I felt so bad! She spent about 30 min separating hair, and then another 30 washing and blow drying. She was the sweetest young lady. The fact that she was willing to accommodate my mistake really touched my heart. And on top of that, she did an AMAZING job. I originally tried to get an appointment at Fatima Braiding Studio, but their customer service was so horrible, I had to look elsewhere, and I came across Bintu Parlor, and I will not only be returning, but I will be recommending her to everyone I know. I was afraid my head would hurt during and after the braiding process, but It was actually so relaxing I was falling asleep. The stylist never showed up and the front desk clerk asked me to come later(there was no later because I had to catch a flight hours later) and I scheduled a early appointment for a reason! I received my appointment in an email or text message and was reminded before the appointment. I was greeted very nicely and introduced to the stylist. the salon is peaceful and beautiful and welcoming. my stylist Bre, discussed what i needed although i registered on line for the appointment. I was taken back to the sinks and she did a wonderful, but quick wash. I have natural hair since the Pandemic but she did a great silk press. I was so pleased with it. My hair was so soft and flat that I was truly shocked and it didn't take all day. The style fit me although we had never met but it was wonderful. I'm going to come once a month and hopefully, use the same stylist. I noticed them doing color and they have a makeup artist. Tis the season.
