Today 6/12, I went into the store to purchase two color correctors, eye liner, and some Lancôme products I had run out of. I couldn't match up my concealer and waited my turn to ask for assistance. I also had questions about a couple of other products. Once the two customer service people were finished with the customers they were assisting they walked the opposite direction from me. I came back around the corner and one of the ladies was putting on make up ignoring me and the young man walked away again. I had been in the store already 30 minutes and was never asked once if I needed anything. I absolutely love Ulta and have patronized many of your stores in Indiana, Tennessee and Mississippi and was always promply greeted. I've had multiple salon services and for birthdays and holidays I would always ask for gift cards from the store because I loved how helpful everyone was. I had stopped going to Sephora for over 11 years because I loved the customer service Ulta had. Unfortunately, today will be the last time I visit this location. I will return to the one in Peachtree City to give Ulta one last chance. Because I didn't have time to drive there today, I went next door to Sephora to make my purchases, where I was greeted when I walked into the cosmetics section in Kohl's. I went here to get my eyebrows done because my usual person wasn't available place was busy. I figured I'd try Ulta since they are associated with Benefit Brows. I have naturally thick eyebrows and expected for the worker to clean them up and shape them but as many different places have before without me having to say anything. Instead when I looked in the mirror I see that my eye brows have decreased in size, changed shape, and are uneven. I 10/10 don't recommend going here to get waxing services done. I always come here when I need some immediate retail therapy or even when seasons are changing so my makeup is too. I am always greeted when walking in. All the associates seem very kind and helpful. Although, I don't know what it is but I feel like the stands are always empty and that it's really hard to find a person to help you if you need someone to help you find your shade or a makeup product. This ulta is huge and most of the time your going to find one person on the floor trying to do everything. I went in for foundation and I felt sort of rushed with the woman helping me. After, I went to their "hair salon" and again their was only one lady working there and told me that I would have to wait an hour. I just feel like this ulta is understaffed. Overall, Their employees are nice. I just wish they had more staff on the floor rather than the cash register. I will be back again. read more

Placed a curbside pickup order yesterday 12/21 got a notification that it was ready within an hour so I made plans to pick it up next day. I arrived to the curb side pickup parking spot and check in. 20 minutes later I'm still waiting. I finally get out to go in and in a very not busy Ulta store I come to the front and I'm told "oh our meter is dead we didn't know you were out there." I received an email this morning about Ulta having a sale on all fragrances for the holidays, so I decided to go check it out! It was perfect timing because I'd been watching TikTok's on different colognes that are good for men and wanted to see if Ulta carried any of them. Well, when I arrived there weren't many options but I still browsed around and smelled what was available also hoping to be greeted by the employee who was working in the fragrance section but NOPE she acted as if I was a ghost and didnt see me walking around for the past 5/6 minutes. However, a Caucasian gentleman came over and she greeted him immediately with a nice welcoming tone. Once she was done with him after approximately 8 minutes she sees me just standing there, because at this point I already smelled everything. She says to me " do you need help " in my head im like " UMMM CLEARLY !" but I responded yes and asked her if she had a certain cologne in stock. Which she did so I told her I wanted to purchase it. I go to reach for the box thinking I would just walk it to the register like normal. NO! She snatched away from me and asked " whats the name on the order " at this point Im confused, because I didnt place an order online or anything so why do you need my name. I did not know she had to write my name on the box and she would then take it to the register. If she would have just communicated that with me I would have completely understood but ELIZABETH was very rude, unwelcoming and racially profiled me. She also made a comment to her coworker " it's that time of the year " and laughed it off. I was very disgusted and unpleased with my experience at Ulta today. A place where I frequently shop!!! This is a nice location with good stock and customer service overall. I commuted out of my way to this store specifically to purchase items from the cult skincare line, The Ordinary. This is one of three locations in the state that stock it plus other brands I love such as Clinique. The Clinique section is also nice with a plethora of inventory. Not all locations offer an extensive section. If not for those two brands I could've shopped at a closer store but it was worth the trip. read more

This is location is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's organized so I could find what I was looking for quickly. There was good amount of staff on the floor to assist while shopping. I was given a $15 discount on beauty services which include hair, eyebrow, or facial for $60. It appears like Ulta has expanded on more brands which great. The wait in line wasn't long. I like that you can give your telephone number now and they can find your membership to apply to your purchase. The sales associate was helpful telling me about the points I had had that I use it to the next purchase or gain more points. They are located in a shopping plaza that includes TJ Maxx which is convenient. There's plenty of parking. I enjoyed the experience and I'll be back. read more

Just a comment in Ulta's Salon services. I went into the salon in McDonough GA for highlights. They already charge $155 for highlights and $55 for haircut. The lady was moving extremely slow just pinning my hair to provide the color. Then she proceeds to say... if I don't get this done in 2 1/2 hours the price doubles. So you mean to tell me that it would cost me almost $400 for highlights and cut. I have been to multiple salons and my hair is the same length. I pay no more that $300 for cut and highlights. No one sets a price on a time and how would I be able to control how fast this lady moves because she was SLOW! I feel that was a set up and I didn't take the bait. I told her to take those pins out of my hair and end that now because I would be a fool to pay almost $400 for this at ULTA. In other salons I have paid a little over $300 but that included Ola plex and shadow root. This was just a highlight and cut. read more

While shopping for more facial cleanser and perfume with my daughter today I was watched and followed like a HAWK. This was the most uncomfortable and embarrassing thing I've ever experienced in any store in my life! And that is no exaggeration. This was the very definition of profiling! This ulta employee, I refuse to acknowledge her as a young lady because she was anything but that, went out of her way to make sure I knew she was watching my every move. She was of indian descent, I did not get her name and I really wish I had so I could address that employee specifically. My daughter and myself went to an older woman who worked there to express our discomfort and she was super helpful. She dealt with us with respect and basic human decency. She actually ended up helping us find what we needed and checking us out in the back. The receipt says her name was Janay so THANK YOU JANAY . You were awesome. That other employee needs racial sensitivity and customer service training or simply doesn't need to work in retail where people of all shades spend their hard earned money. I recently purchased Bare Minerals from the McDonough location. It was my first time. I gave the girl my # at check out. I waited forever for someone to help me. After using the product twice I was very unhappy with it. I went in to exchange it n because they couldn't find my # they would not exchange it. I showed the manager my statement on my phone proving I had spent $104 12 days prior but was told there was nothing she could do. I'm stuck with makeup I can't use. Ulta is the best place for a cosmetics junkie - it blends lots of prestige brands with all the drugstore brands, and is often the only place to find the limited edition cosmetics you see in all the beauty blogs. Of course, they also have tons of hair stuff and beauty tools and skincare and fragrances, but I go for the makeup and nail polish. :) All the Ultas are pretty great, but I especially like this one in McDonough because it's still new enough (opened in Aug 2012) that it doesn't have that "ransacked" feeling like the Howell Mill or Buckhead stores do sometimes. Get on the mailing list and become a member for great coupons and quarterly rewards, and pay attention to the sales cycles - everything non-prestige goes on sale pretty regularly. Check out the German brand Essence for low-price high-quality cosmetics - Ulta is the only place you'll find them. Sales staff at this store are non-snotty (another problem with the Buckhead location) and helpful. If only they had baskets instead of those weird Kohls-like shopping bags! read more

The monthly birthday gift is a shade of lip gloss that I do not wear, they refused to substitute the gift. They also refused to separate my transaction into separate transactions to maximize savings. I usually enjoy Ultas customer service. But today was awful. I purchased a product online to be picked up at my local store. I got the email to pick it up but I wasn't able to get to the store to get my item. The email said I had until January 5 2021 to pick my item up. On January 7, 2021 I check my bank account and noticed a charge from ulta.com. I go to the store to to find out what happened and why was I charged. The manager Regine says you picked up the order I asked when was the order picked up. she couldn't or wouldn't tell me anything. She proceeds to tell me in order for me to receive a refund I would have to go and get the item I bought previously off the shelf stand in line and return the items I took off the shelf to get a refund. So to be clear you want me to return items I didn't buy. She said yes. That made me very uncomfortable. It felt like she was asking me to steal. . I said you are a manager your store gave my product away you can refund me without fraud in cash or a store credit(frequent shopper). She says no you have take it off the shelf get in line and return things I didn't buy. None of this made sense and I refused to be put in a situation that made it look like I was stealing. On camera it would have been my word against hers. This was so upsetting I called Ulta.com for help. read more

I love Ulta , I normally order everything online, but last weekend I decided to drop by, why not? I mean it was literally down the street from the house .. Ulta has so many selection of things .. I normally like to browse around first and see what is new , not one person greeted me , not one person checked to see if I needed any help , which that was fine, I work at a doctors office , customer service to me is a big priority , Atleast a hello ! .. even if I'm not feeling well I'm always smiling and I like to make sure patients feel comfortable.. I felt so out of place with Ulta in the Hampton area , I'm not sure why ? I saw a guy employee walked right passed me and even looked at me , not one word ! But he greeted someone else , I mean I wasn't dolled up , I didn't expect any special treatment .. but man I've never felt like that , it was a weird experience! As I gathered up to purchase my things , the line seemed to long , so I'm like you know , I don't need it ..
