Estelle came by each morning for a little over a week to feed & let out our 2 golden retrievers…read morewhile we were out of town. She went above and beyond to give them a little extra attention, and sent pictures to us. We could see they were being well taken care of. Estelle is a true dog lover, and we will definitely use her again!

Oye Vey! How to find an awesome, trust worthy care taker for my precious pit bull at the last…read moreminute in a city that I have only lived in for a couple of months. I found Estelle on Yelp. Her reviews were solid but not particularly up to date. But I just had a good feeling about this woman from the start. I dialed her her up, and during or conversation we figured out that we were from the same neighborhood in NYC... Estelle's vibe is what I imagine Studio 54 would have been in its hey-day.... way cool.. grounded... loving... worldly.. animal loving.. hippie chic. Estelle came to the house to meet me and Lexi before I left out of town. We agreed that Estelle would come to my house twice a day to feed and walk Lexi spending about 30 minutes each time. Estelle stayed way past the 30 minute obligation and which she didn't have to do. Sent lots of pictures and reports about how Lexi was doing. We have a park nearby so Estelle took her over there to run around sometimes also. Last week we had some house work going on so I dropped Lexi off at Estelle's for a day visit. Lexi got along splendidly with her two semi-small babies (20 ish pounds each). Her small babies ran and played and played and played with Lexi who is twice their size wth no problem! When I picked Lexi up at the end of the day, she was exhausted and a very happy pooch! I would highly recommend Estelle! I trust her implicitly! ~ Tris

In May my senior terrier was diagnosed with a primary lung tumor. I have no idea how that happened…read moreor how he got it. I didn't even know dogs could get lung cancer. Our vet told us "months. A year tops." So we started the painstaking hospice care journey. He wasn't far enough along for Lap of Love we felt. We found VanVets and from the very start they have been nothing but wonderful and caring. Craig is quick to respond. Dr. Canty is amazing and calm. They made my little man's last three months better. When the time came, they came and sat with us. The loved on my little man. They helped us make a plan for our younger dog. And when the moment happened, our grumpy old terrier passed peacefully and surrounded by love. Even afterwards they have been wonderful. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a home hospice vet or even a vet that can do house calls.

VanVets 2831 St. Rose Pkwy…read moreHenderson This is one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write because it concerns the passing of my pupp, my unconditional light and a part of my entire being. We found VanVets online because we wanted a mobile veterinary service for our older pupp. He was declining very quickly and we wanted to be prepared if the time ever came. We filled everything out online, followed all instructions for both ourselves and our pupp, and scheduled an appointment for a vet and tech to come out for an evaluation. Shortly after submitting everything, we received a call and our appointment was scheduled for the following morning. Unfortunately, very early the next morning, we had to rush our pupp to VEG 24-Hour Emergency Vet Clinic. There was no good news. The vet doctor and techs there made our pupp comfortable for a few hours so we could bring him home. From the moment we walked in, our pupp was in excellent hands. Everyone handled him with genuine care, gentleness and compassion. What was originally supposed to be a checkup with VanVets became an in-home euthanasia. I certainly was not prepared for that, but I knew I could not allow my pupp to continue in excruciating pain. VanVets arrived with a vet and her tech -- two very soft-spoken, compassionate individuals. They calmly explained every step of the process before proceeding. At each stage, the vet respectfully asked for permission before continuing, and that level of care and humanity continued through the very end of my pupp's life. During all of this, my entire focus was on my pupp-talking to him, rubbing his face, kissing him, and making sure he knew he was forever loved and will always be missed and remembered. The vet and tech were incredibly gracious and patient. Nothing felt rushed. Everything was slow, peaceful and calm, even through my constant tears. After everything was done, they quietly stepped outside and gave us all the time we needed alone with our pupp. There was never any pressure or rush. When we were finally ready, they came back in and gently explained the next steps. VanVets had already coordinated everything with West Coast Pet Cremation & Funeral Service, and I cannot say enough about them either. They were compassionate, calm and caring during one of the most painful moments of our lives. I highly recommend all three of these compassionate businesses -- VanVets, VEG Emergency Vet Clinic and West Coast Pet Cremation & Funeral Service -- for anyone needing exceptional pet care and genuine human compassion during such difficult moments. This has been one of the hardest experiences I have ever gone through because my pupp was never "just a pet" -- he was my son. Respectfully
