What a hidden gem! I've seen this store a zillion times and finally popped in and was NOT expecting what I found. The selection is INCREDIBLE! I will note it's luxury / designer vintage, not "thrift" vintage, and the items are priced accordingly. Reasonable prices for the amazing items, but definitely a higher end store. The selection was extensive, diverse, well preserved and carefully curated. Every single piece in the shop felt special and show stopping. I was very transparent that I was just browsing and probably couldn't afford to purchase that day, but the sales person was still kind and friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back when I'm ready to make a more special higher end purchase. Awesome experience and so happy to know about this shop. read more

stopped into this little treasure randomly with a friend (I wasn't shopping for myself) and while she was browsing around I had plenty of old knickknacks and things to look at. The woman helping us was very generous and generally enjoyable to talk to. I wish I had gotten her name. She also expertly picked out a few items for my friend to try based on her body type and man I gotta tell you these pieces looked smokin on her - I was blushing under my mask. I never made it into this shop when it was over on Abbot Kinney in Venice. And when it closed there, I figured I'd blown my chances forever. But imagine my surprise when it turned up near me in Playa Del Rey last year! I've been to this amazing store four times since Xmas. I'm addicted! The two owners are wonderful hosts, making you feel completely at home in what feels like a store in Paris!! They are very knowledgeable about couture and encourage you to try on everything and anything. However, they don't push you into buying something just because. They really want you to be satisfied and pleased because it's YOUR choice. Going to Ms Vintage is like taking a momentary escape to another time, not unlike the Woody Allen movie "Midnight in Paris"! Beautiful carefully selected vintage pieces at reasonable prices. Certainly not cheap but its fair and matches the quality of the piece. Its not just a dress, its a part of history! Marsha and Sabrina are very welcoming and kind. They are very knowledgeable in fashion and have impeccable taste. I always enjoy going to the store. I learn so much. Oh well, this is it. We've died and GONE TO FASHION HEAVEN. MS Vintage is a quirky and beautiful vintage shop with some of the most unique and gorgeous pieces we've ever seen. And we say quirky because the shop is run by the wonderful duo of Marsha ("M") and Sabrina ("S"), who use the space as their entertainment law office several days a week and then swap hats (literally!) to open as a vintage clothing shop Thursday through Sunday (they usually only get Wednesdays off). The partners have worked together in law for years, but have always had an intense love of fashion. After spending years scouring for exceptional vintage pieces around the world, they decided to open the shop together, and now travel to London, Paris, and all over Italy to find items for MS Vintage. The ladies were lovely, and encouraged us to try on some of the most exquisite pieces, all while chatting to us about the history of the store and their passion for fashion. The pieces we tried on truly made us stand up straighter, smile wider and just feel special and beautiful and marvelous and every other adjective a woman wants an article of clothing to inspire. The details in MS Vintage - the vintage ribbons they use to wrap packages, the fashion photographs used for wrapping paper - are what makes shopping fun. We would move in here if we could. read more

A special thanks to the wonderful owners of this store. My teenage niece was visiting me for the weekend and as soon as she said that she had an interest in vintage clothes, I knew to bring her here. The two shopkeepers were so helpful, kind and generous to a fault. The selection they offer is carefully curated yet varied--something for most everyone. Decent collection in the back, but a lot of the pieces that aren't designer, have designer prices. They also can't seem to get their pricing straight. Marsha will say something without a tag is one price and Sabrina will say another. Sabrina is generally very abrasive/argumentative and has insulted me on more than one occasion, (once telling me I was "smaller than she thought" once I came out of the fitting room in a dress,I have body image issues, and the comment was beyond unnecessary). I would only talk to Marsha if I ever went back in, which I definitely would NOT. I have spent a fair amount of money there and was planning to buy a lot more, they just lost a potentially very loyal customer. They also play games and will tell you stuff like "a collector is coming to look at that piece later this week".... Then will post crappy photos of it on ig.... That's not how the power of suggestion works..... ‍ don't try to play games with good customers, they will shop else where read more

When I walked into this store I was dressed very casual, with no makeup or hair done. It's a great store - all vintage couture but priced right. I asked to try on a Junya Watababe dress and this really nice woman who worked there was helping me to get in it. Due to it being a Watanabe, it had a lot of wraps and she asked the other woman to help. I believe she was the owner - small, blond, older. This other woman told me that it wouldn't fit me and walked away. Well, we kept trying and the blond came by again and said, "you have to be very committed to this designer", as if my not figuring out how to get into this dress was a reflection on my "commitment". I stated that Junya was my favorite designer. She then suggested a flowy cape thing instead. I felt like she was doing everything except say "I don't want you to buy this dress". Once I got it on she acted surprised and said how great I looked in it, etc. If I had just tried on the dress without the negative comments from the owner, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Instead they lost a great customer, as I really loved this place. I won't spend $250, though, when made to feel awful. read more

The clothing may be great - but to I have not been able to get past the rudeness of the owners to actually make a purchase. The great thing about Playa del Rey is the "small town" atmosphere. I see my neighbors at coffee shops, at Triple, at Bristol Farms, etc. These owners are way too snobby for this town. They are rude to the neighborhood residents and rude to the customers that they don't feel like helping. Sorry, but there are way too many other cool clothing and vintage shops in LA to deal with attitude like this. read more
