If you like pretty displays and browsing old stuff in a spot where everything costs way too much, go here. It is nice to look but prices seem incredibly high . Both times I've been I didn't buy a thing.but I did see others making purchases so maybe it depends....

The mart is a large, shared space with multiple vendors that sell mostly vintage and antique items. The vendors may or may not be at their spot when you visit. However, everything is for sale and you can buy it at the front desk. Some sellers leave signs with a percentage discount off their items. There are so many different types of products here. You can find vintage jewelry, paintings, clothing, furniture, records etc. All kinds of stuff. Store is well-organized with many high quality items. Customer service was A+! The associates are so friendly, nice and patient. I felt really welcome in this store. They were also very honest and transparent when I asked them questions about the merchandise. They were super helpful. It was really a pleasure to shop here because of the stellar employees! One of the pleasures of shopping for vintage and antique items in person is that you don't have to know exactly what you are looking for. Coming here you can fall in love with new things you didn't know existed! There aren't a lot of vintage/antique shops in Los Angeles anymore. So, this was such a treat for me. Free parking in the back. You can also park on the street but you have to read the signs.

    Hard-edge painting I picked up.

I love spending an hour or so searching for eye-catching mid-century modern / vintage treasures at this place. There's a vast selection of general vintage art and household goods, records, jewelry etc but I often have to dig to find the items I like. Over the years, I've purchased several pictures, metal wall art, and brass figures. My latest finds pictured here.

The Mart Collective is a very large antique/art store full of all kinds of very interesting items. In fact, this shop has one of the best selections of unique and vintage objects of anywhere in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County area. It's really a store stocked full of all kinds of surprises. Some of the reviewers discuss that the prices are high at this antique mart and that there is no negotiation in price. The level of quality of the items at this business really speaks for itself. It's kind of like the old saying, if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it. Meaning, you don't go into this place and expect to negotiate for a better price because what they offer is really top notch. On a curious note, I do find it interesting that the employees of this store will commonly follow customers around, trying to be all nonchalant, as they are trying to see if there is any shoplifting taking place. I guess they just don't have enough cameras on the shop to be able to sit back and watch what the customers are doing from a single screen. Though I find this a bit amusing, I imagine some other people would take this very personally. What I'm saying is, don't be surprised if everywhere you turn, down every aisle, there will be one of the employees looking at you out of the corner of their eye while they are pretending they are doing something else. Don't take it personally. Just try to be amused. Overall, as stated, this is one of the best shops if you want to find that truly high-quality antique or art piece. It is one of those shops that you never know what you're going to find. It may be the perfect gift or it may be that unique art piece that you never knew that you needed. Overall, good place to go, good place to shop.

This is a fairly large, free standing antique store. Just as other reviewers have stated, the majority of the merchandise is on the pricey side, but you'll find some unusual items here. They sell all kinds of things, including furniture; paintings; jewelry; sculpture; clothes; you name it. If you can't find parking in the front, there is also free parking in the back. It looks like it's their parking lot, since the back door opens right to it. Oh, by the way, the majority of the time I was in the store, I had one of the employees following me around, to make sure I wasn't going to shoplift. Poor guy, what a horrible job! All he caught me doing was taking out my phone to take pictures of all the fun items. :)

I found this most unique bird/Mantis carrier on a bottom shelf $ 70

Need last minute silverware ?? This is the spot. I was initially so excited to find this place, however, this place is so so over priced ! Omg ! The basket collection & silver implements are abundant and at a GREAT price point, ( I would buy out the whole basket collection instantly !but I've down sized, can you say..hygge with a lavish smile?) BUT -- everything else - if your less impetuous, Etsy beats their pricing & selection. The hunt is not fun here, more employees than customers. They are completely oblivious to the art of bartering, its 10% off this & 10% off that.... uugghh, boring & sleepy. Cultivating relationships is not their forte. Someone from the OC Circle needs to tutor them. The energy is dismal.

The Mart Collective is a fun place to browse antiques and vintage items. Yes, some of the items are on the pricier side, however, a lot of the booths have discounts, so make sure you keep an eye on the signs. The store itself is pretty massive and they everything from artwork to handmade pieces, housewares, clothing, and a ton of jewelry. The place is pretty organized, so it's easy to navigate and see things without tripping on something. Because of its size, it's easy to maintain social distancing, even when there's a good amount of people inside. There were plenty of staff members walking around to help you if you needed something. There were a few handwritten labels that we couldn't read and one of the employees was quick to go do some price checks/hold items for us at the front which was much appreciated. Plenty of parking is available in the back of the store or there's some limited street spot out front. When you're done, this area has some great eateries if you're looking for a bite before or after. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

But when LUIS, one of the family owners, got word and took over... I could not be happier with the outcome. As a business owner I KNOW beyond ALL DOUBT that you CANNOT have a flawless experience every time NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WANT IT. The truth of a great business is HOW you handle the bad experiences and make good on your commitment. Not everyone can be made happy but the important part is that you know you did what was right. They DID WHAT WAS RIGHT and THEN SOME MORE and for that they get all the respect and appreciation I can share with another business owner. Short version of the long story IF you are still reading. They sent me a GLORIOUS art piece for my office. It ended up TOO BIG to get down the hall despite all my planning (entirely my fault) so I had to hire a contractor to take a window out, get it through the window and reinstall. That took weeks after delivery. BUT a few weeks later I am sitting on my couch and my friend declares "shit, it's already torn!". Not quite right, it had an unseen seam, hidden in the pleat. Every time you sat on it, it spread and showed the batting. For WEEKS I fought with staff about it being addressed. They offered solutions then retracted them as not being achievable. Each time we discussed one thing the employee ghosted me for weeks. When the owner took over, he accepted no excuses, owned the problem and dealt with the employee. Then he arranges to ENTIRELY REMAKE the couch to an EVEN BETTER OUTCOME (and I am sure at some significant expense). I had to hire a contractor again to get the old one out (my expense agreeably because THAT was my error not theirs), but he covered all the return shipping, REDESIGNED the entire couch to better specs both for my own staure (made it a bit shorter and a bit less deep, NOT and easy redesign for a mid-century piece like this), made the fusion removable to ensure heirloom longevity and the ability to reupholster in the future, gave me a batting/fill upgrade, changed out the leather to an upgrade, AND stayed on top of communication with me the whole time. 100% satisfied and then some. Many thanks guys. In terms of spending money with a company... I would do it again for sure when I am ready.
