We are under an annual service contract where they come 2x's per year. Technicians and electricians are courteous and professional and don't pressure you to perform extra services. And one advantage to having a service contract is that in an emergency you get priority treatment. We have had one AC emergency in five years and received a repair within 24 hours. We also contracted with Pezz to install a whole house humidifier, a whole house surge suppressor, several lighting fixtures and exhaust fans and they replaced all of our interior switches and receptacles in our 30 year old house. The prices they charge are fair and competitive. We have been very happy with their services.

They were prompt in scheduling an appt. and actually called the day before because the technician was "right around the corner" so he came a day earlier. Apparently the emergency "off" switch was accidentally turned off when my husband changed the filter. He noticed it immediately but charged me $150 for the visit. I understand a minimum trip charge but he was literally less than 1/2 mile away so he wasn't going out of his way to come to my house. When I called Old York to explain that I thought the charge was excessive considering all he had to do was flip a switch, I was told someone would call me back in a couple of days. Of course no one did and when I followed up a week later I was told that the technician also checked the electrical connections and the pressure and that is how they justified that charge. He was here no more than 10 minutes but spent 1/2 hr sitting in my driveway afterwards. I guess that is how they justify the time spent on the job even if they aren't doing anything. You would think they might offer a partial credit towards a future service just to keep a customer. I will not be using their services in the future nor will I recommend them.

Alex came over and looked at the old AC unit and furnace. His professional guidance including a recommended solution was both honest and accurate. I accepted his solution and scheduled the install. The entire time I was kept in the loop by text and phone calls. The day of the job they showed up exactly on time 8am. The team was fronted by Amando and with him was Pete and Tyler. This was clearly not their first rodeo. Amazing, the three men quickly removed the old units both inside and out and installed the new units. We worked with them for roughly 5 years, and Kevin is overall a good guy, but once his client base expanded, it seems customer service has gone by the wayside. Roughly a year ago, he identified a simple/quick fix after the central air had failed not once, but twice. Contacted Kevin via text & email multiple times over several months, only to get a rude response on a Saturday morning, in his words: "It's 8AM on Saturday, right?" Clearly he doesnt care for my business, which is too bad since we had previously built a decent rapport. I had been putting off this review for some time because I fully understand the challenges posed during the pandemic as well as to this day. He last told me he was booked out for 6 weeks, which I then asked that we could be put on schedule 6-8 weeks out during a time where heating/cooling systems don't get used as regularly, but no response. All in all, they're probably great to work with if they value you're business or if you're lucky enough to get them to come and repair something for you, but if you haven't used them before, don't bother -- build a relationship with a different company who will value your business.
