We have been customers of Pezz Electric for five years. They perform our annual maintenance on our heating and air conditioning (HVAC). We are under an annual service contract where they come 2x's per year. Technicians and electricians are courteous and professional and don't pressure you to perform extra services. And one advantage to having a service contract is that in an emergency you get priority treatment. We have had one AC emergency in five years and received a repair within 24 hours. We also contracted with Pezz to install a whole house humidifier, a whole house surge suppressor, several lighting fixtures and exhaust fans and they replaced all of our interior switches and receptacles in our 30 year old house. They messed up installing my humidifier for my furnace and they were supposed to give me a quote on my sump pump. It was way out of portion. I do not recommend this company if you need anything done they do not live up to their name. read more

I can't say anything about the work they do because I didn't get that far. The person that they sent out to do the estimates on the electrical work that I needed done was to put it nicely not very intelligent. We live in a very old home that did not have central air conditioning, nor did it lend itself to the installation of all the ductwork that would be required to acquire it. With the emergence of ductless mini split systems as an alternative to the more traditional route, we began interviewing firms to provide quotes, etc. After having representatives from five companies come over, we chose Pezz based on several factors (they were not the most expensive, nor the least). This work is complicated and requires technical ability, carpentry, and open mindedness as you are never truly sure what you will encounter with an old home. I received great service. I called because I had found out at the last minute that the stove I ordered would not work with my existing wiring - and it was being delivered the next day. I called in the afternoon, and they made sure to send someone out the next morning to get the job done before the stove was delivered. I started using the services of Pezz Electric about 10 years ago when I needed to have new electrical panels and stair and sign lights installed for my front building. The technician that I dealt with at that time was skilled, knowledgeable, paid attention to details, and pleasant. But over the years, I found that the Pezz Electric's employees that came in to do the work were not reliable. Today's story goes beyond unreliable. It goes into lying to the customer and neglecting them when they can't get the customer to go for a huge replacement of the unit-Heating Unit. Pezz went into HVAC business a few years back so I called them around mid January when I woke up and found my home heating unit not working. The pilot light was not out. There was a loud noise coming from the unit. I spoke to Dale who was very helpful. Got the technician right out because that day, we had below freezing weather. David the best HVAC tech, I was told, came. David and said my "old" heating unit's water pump was broken. He said he'll fix it but can't "guarantee" and "it'll "cost about $475 to replace the pump, and for a couple more grand, you can just get a new heating unit." I didn't ask what exactly he meant by guarantee it. I thought he meant guarantee on the part. I told him that replacing the unit was far from my mind that day. I was more focused on getting the heat back and make it through the winter. I missed work that day and I was already behind on paper work at work. Also, my home heating unit is an oldie, but a goodie, since it was first installed in the 1970s. It is an original unit. It needed changing parts here and there over the years but it was working. I paid him no mind since what I needed was to have the unit up and working again. I left him in the basement to his work. As he was replacing the pump and he called me and said I needed to pay for an extra tubing because mine was bad and can't be reused. I ended up paying $550.00. (No discount for existing customer. I was told that $550 was the lowest. ) I asked him as he was finishing up, "so it will cost about two thousand to get a new unit?" I told him to give me a quote in writing for the new unit. So then he said, "well, it'll be about $5000.00." Really? $2000 and $5000 are like apples and oranges. They aren't even close! It was more than double of what he was initially pitching to me when he first got there. He said he'd have the office email me an estimate. Never got one. But I digress. He finished the work. He said it will take a long time to heat up the house because he drained the water. Ok. No problem there. I tipped him $9.00 because that was all the cash I had on me. I was happy to have heat back. About 3-4 days later, my heat in zone 2 and 3 (upstairs) was constantly on. I couldn't turn it off. I figured it might be the thermostat so I tried to troubleshoot over the next two days. I also called Pezz and let the receptionist know about the problem. It was on a Thursday I called. She said that if I wanted to troubleshoot more that was fine. It was late in the afternoon so no one would be able to come out to my home that day anyway. She told me to call back the following day. She said she wouldn't be in tomorrow but someone will be able to help. Then today I woke up to a cold house again. It started snowing since early morning and went onto snow all day and evening just as the weather forecast said. I tried to figure out what could be wrong. The furnace light was on but it wasn't heating when the thermostat was raised. I called Pezz Electric back this afternoon close to 2pm. Eric picked up. I told him the problem and the past history of repair in January with Pezz. He said he'll go to talk to David who worked on it. He said he'll talk to Vinny the owner of the business, too. He then came back and said David said he already told you that you'll have to get a new heating unit. I was angry. I told Eric about the call I made a few days after David replaced the pump. Eric said there's no history in the record. Eric sided with David. They are not going to keep repairing the unit. David came out only once. And my call was not even noted down? Eric said he didn't get Vinny so he'll try again and call me back later. Now it's 9:14pm, I never got a call back. And as for the record of contacting Pezz, it occurred to me later that it will be on my cell phone bill. Pezz Electric's employees (with the exception of the two women I spoke to) have absolutely no interpersonal skills, slightest of concern toward their customers,or professionalism. They do not have any customer service skills or ethical work attitude. read more

Pezz Electric was great. I had an electrical issue associated with my load transfer switch that did not allow my pool to run. The pool company could not find it at all. Airflow was restricted in both bedrooms for years. After many unsuccessful attempts made my numerous HVAC companies to come out and fix the problem, we finally called Pezz to schedule a diagnostic visit. Frank showed up on time. He was neat, courteous and diligent in his work. He took the time to thoroughly investigate the problem and pinpoint exact cause. He was able to resolve the issue that same day by opening a partially closed damper within the duct feeding those two rooms.
