Mushroom burger

I am pretty sad that I must have come at a wrong day and time. Last time I was here, it was about 24 years ago and I've been talking about how great the burgers are. I was excited to show my 21yo daughter this amazing place. Unfortunately on Oct 10,2025 around 11:50am, my burger was not the best. It was not bubbling hot and juicy as I had remembered it. The burger was warm, the bread was cold, but still had a good taste. The fries and chili fries were really good though. I ended up visiting an old friend who lives down the hill and I told them about my experience. They were really surprised because they were just at the Mt Baldy Lodge a few weeks before I drove out. The ambiance is exactly how I remembered it and the service was incredible. I didn't hate my meal, I ate it. I know it was a fluke (it happens) and hopefully I can come back sooner than 24 years to revisit this place that brought so many memories when I was younger.

300 pm, Sunday, September 14, 2025 First time visiting here. But my friend has been here and was interested in hearing the live music. Parking: uh interesting... We squeezed into a street parking space but there were spaces to be had. Knowing the area is helpful. TIP: place to go order to eat your food poolside as there is no waitress service out there. Beware of bees swarming poolside. Signs were posted. It was a just warm enough day to swim. But the pool was not heated. Swimmer beware! Haha. We were the crazy adults swimming in the chilly pool. I'd been in colder as a competitive swimmer, so be careful. Swim with a buddy. The food was really good. I had a Cobb salad and enjoyed the delicious greens, hard boiled egg, crumbled bacon, and dressing. Eating poolside with a live band playing classic rock was great. I enjoyed it a lot.

This is the best hidden gem in the most beautiful location! Food, staff and patrons all here for one reason...to relax, enjoy and appreciate

Wow! This place is a gem that has been frozen in time. Fire place going, families gathering and food that makes you feel warm and cozy. The ladies working were darling and I can't wait to come back. I got the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend got the chicken fried steak it hit the spot. Apparently only on Sundays the owner wakes up at 4am to make some INSANE cinnamon rolls!

Family Sunday drive up the mountain to Mount Baldy. Clean air and a great view. We stopped off at the Mount Baldy Lodge restaurant. It was nice and toasty. They had the fireplace going. The food looked amazing. We had dessert. The pies were yummy. The waitress was absolutely wonderful. People are friendly and appear to be really happy. Just a note. There's a lot of traffic coming down from the mountain parking can be tricky so keep your eyes peeled. We got there around 3 PM, but I think we're gonna come back and have their brunch which looks absolutely amazing. I believe it's only on Saturday and Sunday. The raspberry pie was delicious and you can't go wrong with Dutch apple pie. They warmed it up for us and we had it with the side of vanilla ice cream. The hot cocoa was yummy. Unfortunately, they were all sold out of the potato skins. That's one of the many appetizers that they offer. Next time we'll go with more of an appetite. We'll go back and do the brunch and I'll revisit this review but as of now it's a great place to go with friends or family or even to take a drive sit down and have some cuppa coffee and people watch.

Tacos and potato chips

Went here for taco Tuesday specials. Very easy drive from the San Gabriel valley and a wonderful restaurant. Menu is decent and I enjoyed the local beer. Tacos were ginormous and very filling! Loved the warm homemade potato chips served with the tacos. As a long time visitor to June Lake, this restaurant reminded me of the Carson Peak Inn. Will be back.

Cozy restaurant that was perfect for recharging after a long hike on Mt. Baldy. Was not expecting good food quality but was pleasantly impressed. Their clam chowder was delicious. Would go back it we ever hike there again

On a visit to our grandson at Pitzer College, we treated him and 2 classmates to a delightful ride into the mountains to experience Mt Baldy Lodge. It was a wonderful visit, and the Lodge itself is a reminder of the 1950's with relatively inexpensive meals and the ambience of a rustic bar and restaurant. Moose heads, a bison, and wood surrounded us, and a fire was going in the fireplace. Our server, Alisha, was attentive and helpful throughout. We had burgers, nachos, salmon, and soft drinks. After dinner, some of the party played pool (2 tables are available). The food was decent - not to rave about, except that the fries were exceptionally crisp and hot as could be. The chili was also a hit. We spent about $30/person and were quite happy.

These cabins are so cute. It's one of my favorite places to stay. I wish we could stay more often but they don't allow dogs. I did find a bag of dog poo on my porch and the chair sort of smelled like pee, but being a dog person, I didn't completely mind. I just wish they allowed dogs. I hear they sometimes have live music and there is one cabin next to the restaurant's busy back patio, so make sure to get the cabin that has the distance you want. The resturant in the lodge is the only place to get food and there is no microwave or fridge but there is a small coffee maker. The bed is super comfy and the tv has a million channels.

We have had bad experiences a long long time ago. And I have to say. What a turn around. Good food. Great service. Will be back. The wife did say the side salad needed croutons and cheese tho. lol. But other than that. We enjoyed our lunch.

I got an Ortega Swiss burger , nice and juicy. Service was great, the server was always checking in.

As a California native and kind of a local to Mount Baldy, (the resort is about an hour away)... I haven't visited in a while...I decided to take the time to visit. It was so much fun. Not only was it snowing when we were there but it's just good vibes, so great to get out of the city! The night before we had hung out, playing pool by the bar and playing some of the touch screen games and had such a good time! It's like being in another world! Magical! Everyone was friendly and brunch the next day was delicious! I can't wait to go back again...

We each walked up to the counter and placed our orders. While waiting, we enjoyed the cozy interior and a live band on the patio. We ordered a few sandwiches, huge pretzels, and a cheese flatbread for the kiddos. I ordered the cold 6" Knuckle Sammy, and it was filled generously with deli meats and fresh ingredients. A very satisfying sandwich. Other sandwiches enjoyed included the Meatball, Pastrami Reuben, and Wrightwood Philly. The pretzels were fantastic, hot and soft, and came with a tasty cheese dip. The beers on tap were terrific. I had the Seasalt & Lime Lager, which was cold and refreshing. I got to try Hazy IPA, which was good, and if you like sours, the Plum Sour is worth a try. They also have hard seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages in the cold fridge next to the cashier. The staff was kind, and the service was excellent. They brought out our orders to where we were sitting. Plenty of TV monitors to enjoy some sports. They also have local activities and special menu items on certain days.

All the beer tastes great. They have a lager, red ale, black beer, and stout. The have other rotating beers and seltzers on tap such as sours. They also have canned beverages. I really like the canned happy dad's. The food is really good. They offer breakfast, sandwiches, lunch sandwiches (Turkey avocado is my favorite), flatbread pizza, and most recently, wings. The lunch sandwiches remind me of My Hero Sub if you're familiar with that establishment in the Inland Empire. So good! All the ingredients on the sandwiches are fresh. They also can make your sandwich into a salad - I have not tried that yet. Great spot. The locals love it. Give it a try if you like laid back breweries. You can eat inside or outside.

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to be sure we had the correct hours of operation and instructions to pre-order a couple of their pies. Such a lovely themed restaurant!…read more We had the shepherds pie, corn chowder in a bread bowl, and the Oak Glen strawberry cider. Everything was genuinely so good! Even the complimentary bread was baked fresh and a unique taste- in a good way! The shepherds pie was perfectly seasoning, with the meat flavor carrying through the dish even when I only sampled the mashed potato part. The corn chowder was honestly one of the best soups I've had in my life, it was comforting and filling yet still light, with plenty of veggies (corn, potatoes) throughout- I think it was meant to include celery but maybe they ran out today? But I'm happy mine didn't come with celery haha! The waitress recommended the Oak Glen brand as it was the most popular, and gave us options between the seasonal, the "lighter flavor", and strawberry- we were very happy with the strawberry flavor!! The staff were friendly and so cute staying in character. They greeted & seated us as soon as we stepped in. Brought us waters and a complimentary bread bowl with an abundance of butter (some restaurants barely give any). And our order was delivered within 10-15 minutes They have live music playing throughout. The antique candle lights add to the vibes and aesthetic!

Not to worry the coffee shop does and it's only a few steps away! This place was cute with tables or bar seating available. The bicycle theme was cute but personally I liked the barrel seating the best. There was a tv for sports on the back wall. As long as there's no one else watching, putting in a request for certain sports to be played seemed to be no issue. There's several small tables inside and extra long picnic benches outside. I've watched it poured straight into a regular pint glass with no 45-degree angle and no pause for the proper two-step pour. Guinness isn't just another draft beer; it needs to settle, and it should be served in a proper tulip or Guinness glass to get that classic presentation. It was a little sad today to see so few people up there. I'm not sure if the recent hiking tragedies have kept people away, but it's important to know that hiking up to Mt. Today we parked (easy to find a space--just make sure you have your nature pass that can be purchased at the visitors center or check your local Big 5) at Manker Flat and hiked past the waterfalls (beautiful) and up the Mt. Baldy fire service road to the Notch and had delicious sandwiches and beer (for me) and hot cocoa (for my friend). It was sunny and cold, just perfect for a hike.
