I've rented from this location twice. First time was about 3 years ago and there were no issues. Rented a seed slitter to put down grass seed on Wednesday April 7th, 2021 and had a totally different experience. After picking up the seed slitter and transporting it to the planned work site, I lifted up the front of the machine to check out the condition under the machine. I normally wouldn't think to do this but just wanted to make sure that the machine was in good condition and that it was ready to go. What I found is depicted in the attached photo. There clearly was no maintenance check done on this machine after the last person who rented it dropped it back off. Rope/binder twine was wound around all of the individual splines and would have prevented the machine from working properly. I had to trailer the seed slitter and head back to my garage to be able to clean all of the rope out of the twines. This mess took me and another person about 1 1/2 hours to remove. Each piece had to be cut with a sharp knife and pulled off with plyers. After doing this, I loaded it up again and headed back to the work area. After using the machine for about 15 minutes, the drive belt came off of the pulley. Had to put it back on the trailer and head back to the garage to have the tools necessary to remove the pulley cover and get the belt back on the pulley. After finishing using the seed slitter, I took it back to the rental center and showed them a bucket full of rope that we had to remove from the splines. They apologized. I asked for a discount due to the issues involved and they declined. No reason provided. I was so tired from the experience that I didn't stay around and argue about it, but it will be the last time I rent anything from them. read more

I had to come here a couple of times and the experiences were very different. The first time there was only one person working and he had me in and out in minutes and answered all my questions. A pleasant experience. The second time I was dropping off a U-Haul truck and it was very busy. There we only two people at front and both were very nice but obviously had a lot to do! I was handled quickly once It was my turn but it took a long time to get there. They have a variety of services and are worth checking out the next time you need a tool or vehicle rental. read more

I have done business here several times over the years and always found them helpful and accommodating . Today I called to inquire about renting a cargo van. U-haul is $19.95 a day plus $.59 per mile. Since the college students are moving in this week the rental places are very busy. I was told that because of that Penske raised the rate to $99.00 per day and $0.99 per mile for a cargo van ! I'm very disappointed that they would take advantage of a consumer this way. This rental was not for a student by the way. As I previously stated, I've never had a problem here before. This however is simply price gouging and is if not illegal at least unscrupulous. read more
