You will not be able to find it unless you get a local as the tour guide. The best way to go down to diesel lake, is to go down to the lake streets all the way to the end of the lake street. Then turn right go into the fourth Street. In the corner of Lake Street and fourth Street you will see the entrance of the lake. It's a good trail to just walk around the lake or do some jogging in the morning if you are in the neighborhood.

The YMCA is permanently closed, and instead we found an elementary school where you can park, alongside which you begin through a short woodsy path and then must walk maybe 1/4 mile through the neighborhood before discovering the trail. The hike is a beautiful gentle up and down through the woods and along a river. It's only about 2 miles in-and-back, mostly very easy, but has a few tricky but fun spots where you may have to navigate over a tree trunk or carefully walk over rocks/uneven terrain at the edge of a shallow point in the river . The waterfall is a nice feature where you can sit and enjoy the sound and vibe before you turn around to head back.

People heavy depending upon what time of day and year you visit. I visited on 4th of July weekend. It wasn't as people heavy as expected. The drive up from the main roadway is really nice. Beautiful area! I would visit this park for another opportunity if I'm ever in the area again.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Our 6-year-old daughter attended for the first time, and like many young children in a new environment, she was understandably nervous. Rather than being met with patience and encouragement, she was reprimanded for not immediately rotating between activity groups. At six years old, children often need reassurance and guidance while they adjust to a new setting. That was not the approach we observed. The following incident was even more concerning. During pickup, my daughter became excited to see her mother and ran toward her before the formal sign-out process was completed. Instead of calmly reminding us of the procedure, Josh raised his voice at my wife in front of other parents and children. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. Wanting to resolve the situation respectfully, I met with Josh the next day. I calmly explained that I did not appreciate my daughter or my wife being yelled at and asked that any concerns be addressed respectfully in the future. Rather than acknowledging our concerns or showing any understanding, he focused on defending his actions and criticizing my daughter's behavior. At no point did he demonstrate empathy for the fact that she is only six years old and was attending camp for the very first time. After our conversation ended politely, I thanked him for his time and left. Later that day, when my wife picked up our daughter, Josh told her that if I returned, he would contact the sheriff because he believed our conversation had been threatening. I found this accusation to be completely unfounded. My discussion with him remained calm and respectful from beginning to end. He also stated that if my daughter did not "listen" the following day, she would be removed from camp. As a parent, I expect a camp director to model patience, professionalism, and effective communication with young children and their families. Instead, our experience was marked by confrontation, public embarrassment, and what I felt was a lack of understanding of age-appropriate behavior. Six-year-olds require guidance, encouragement, and compassion--not intimidation. There are many excellent summer camp options available. Based on our experience, I would encourage parents to carefully consider those alternatives before enrolling their children here.

It is a warm day in February I hike up here. Microspikes are needed but snow was not too deep. It was not too steep and doable slope. The view from the top was really good and worth coming back from getting a flat.

Had a nice spring hike here along the trails and a lot of trilliums, jack in the pulpit, violets,…read moreand others were blooming in the woods. A great quiet spot with varied types of trees and ATV trails that are well groomed and look tick safe as well. The rocks themselves are interesting glacial erratics clustered in the woods near the "balancing rick" which in itself is really cool to see. Sadly the lowlife dragnuckled troglodytes who have also sought this spot out for their own nefarious rituals have left their marks like beasts urinating and defecating in some desperate plea to be memorialized before their puerile and vacuous little lives come to a miserable end. The rocks have been tagged and carved over the years leaving the main attraction a sad wreckage of nature that also reflects how rare it is today to see natural beauty as yet undefiled by a plebeian urban mob better served by a bag of party sized Doritos couch side with Call of Duty gun fire blaring on the big screen. A video camera with night vision should be set up at sites like this to catch the miscreants so they can be rounded up and put to work repairing the damage they do in the world. I know that the park system is strapped for cash now and understaffed but someone should really check more often to remove at least the most offensive messages and other garbage left on these blighted stones. The swastika needs to go!
