    Buttered Cornbread Ice Cream
    Chastity R.

My favorite kind of ice cream spots offered out-of-the-box flavors and this place is one of them!! They offer Ube, Black Sesame, Guava Cheesecake, and the one I got, Buttered Cornbread, Ice Creams! They also have some Vegan flavors and Gluten Free flavors. Something for everyone! They also have cookies if you have a crazy tooth that's sensitive to cold. I love this place! The service was nice. They looked a little tired but tgey still managed to smile. The place was super busy but they had seating outside, on the porch, and inside. It was super busy when I went but there was room for everyone. I love this place! Parking is weird but find a spot and enjoy! And, if you get there early enough, hit up The Gingered Peach next door for some other sweet treats!

Mini aesthetic spot for late evening sweet treat. Very crowded with hyper sugar pumped kids but most are with parents who watch them. The lines got taken care of very quick. Wait time was not even up to 10 mins even tho they looked mad packed when I arrived. I got the: - Chocolate Chip Cookie(10/10) - Moon Rocks small shake(8.3/10) - Total price with taxes- $10.61 The servers Reece and (another Caucasian girl with colored hair who helped me record my vlog) were super helpful. Reece took time to ask how my day was going, what school I was going to and she cleaned the table outside for me to study. Debating if I'll be back tho. The crowd were too boujie for me ngl. Only spotted ~2 POC families hmm. Overall nice nice sweet treat spot.

I've been trying to get here almost since they opened. Their hours did not coincide with the few times I passed by on my way home from Princeton. Once, on a hot spring afternoon I purposely drove here within their open hours, but they were mysteriously closed. The stars aligned last night and we were able to sample after dining out nearby. My first impression was the lack of a dark chocolate choice. The one option in the case was grey colored as it was an Oreos flavor, that wasn't what I was looking for. The flavors were a bit unique, but I was at a loss as to which 2 flavors I could pair together. On a whim I decided on a strawberry buttermilk cheese cake and was pleased with it. A REAL strawberry flavor, almost like someone's homemade jam was throughout, along with veins of graham cracker crust. The buttermilk gave it extra cream flavor with a nice tang. I'd get again. My date chose the cornbread flavor, it's served with warm honey on the top. We both liked that a lot too. They do also offer vegan and more standard ice cream flavors as a sign indicated. Armed with the knowledge gained from this first trip, I have a few pairing ideas now and will likely be back. Interior wise it's the same feel as it's predecessor, maybe more seating now? I hear it can get very busy on weekends. Nice customer service

I've heard so many good things about this new local ice creamery I just had to come and try it out. The flavors weren't your average or basic, but they had those if you wanted them too. The ice cream was so good and they staff was extremely friendly, the owner even came out & served us herself. Inside was very clean and cute, with seated to the side to get sunlight along with outside seating as well. Very packed and busy which is a good indicator that their ice cream is very good. Can't wait to come back & try different ice cream options along with shakes & some of the baked goods.

This is a must visit ice cream shop, great for people of all ages! Another gem in Lawrenceville alongside The Gingered Peach, Melba's decor pays homage to the prior Purple Cow shop that preceded it, but brings its own flare and finesse to the ice cream game. They offer classic, old-school, innovative, and creative flavors with plenty of options for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant as well. Everything from the scoops, to sundaes, milkshakes, and flights are fairly priced. They also have an egg cream soda which makes their menu even more unique. Some flavors are staples on the menu while others are seasonal and or rotated. I highly recommend the Jumpin' Johnnie ice cream, but the staff is very generous in the attention they give you as a customer while you decide on which scoop or scoops you want. Samples are available as well as staff recommendations.

Cute spot!! The flavors are unique! The day we went it was buzzing with customers! Not cheap though. Bring your $$$!

The best place to go for a sweet treat in the summer! Melba has so many unique ice cream flavors to choose from it's hard to pick just one! The staff is great and let you sample as many flavors as you would like. My personal favorite is the mango sorbet and make sure to ask for the tajin on top! They also have new specials often and the day we came in it was Thai iced tea soft serve which was lovely. The interior has a retro feel to it and there are few tables to enjoy your ice cream inside.

    Ube Ice Cream
    Blossom M.

A gem and we're lucky to have this in our town. Today I tried the ube ice cream and I must say it's the best I've ever had! Ube is a Filipino flavor, it's made from purple yam from the Philippines. Previously I tried their Thai Iced Tea Soft Serve and Lavender Honeycomb, both delicious and unique flavors! I love the interior and the overall look of Melba, really feels like home.

Went to Melba for an evening treat and it's such a cute ice cream shop! Definitely worth to check out. They have seating outside so it's nice for a nice summer evening. I had the guava cheesecake which was so good! The staff is really nice and helpful! Will definitely go back to try other things. They also have vegan options.

Ohhhhhhhh MYYYYYYYYYYY ice cream!! I could have easily had two floats. The quality of the ice cream here and the unique flavors are unmatched. There are so many choices but every option we got was to die for - literally! Will be back every time I am in this area. Service was great and ambiance is nice, with a small cute outdoor patio.

    Michelle S.

It's not a surprise that Melba is AMAZING! If you've been to gingered peach, you know the team turns out amazing treats. The vibe and ambiance of the space is adorable and you can tell alot of love & thought went into the decor. The old school dishes are also a really nice touch. The ice cream flavors are unique and delicious. I was lucky enough to try quite a few during their first week, but I think they pared down to two samples per visitor. So far - moon rocks, peach, and roasted pistachio have been my favorite flavors. Moon rocks is also SUPER delicious as a milkshake!

    Flight sampler
    Tiffany F.

Sooo delicious!! I got a flight sampler of moon rocks, peach sherbet, mint chocolate chip and lucky charms. My favorite was moon rocks and lucky charms. I heard they have birthday cake now so I have to go back asap! The staff are nice and the owner was there, very nice! They own the gingered peach as well! Beautiful set up with a gorgeous picture window in the sitting area, very clean! Definitely recommend!!

The kids were in heaven! Strawberry and chocolate and the toppings come in a little separate container which was perfect for them to share.

Great variety and nice vibe but it is SO expensive and the vegan flavors all have nuts in them which is not good for people with allergies.

A quick search for places that were still open led us to US Mr. Ice Cream. It was a little out of our way, but we were grateful to find an ice cream spot open until 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. I didn't realize before arriving that it's a walk-up window serving soft serve only, but they offer plenty of ways to customize your order. Between cones, cups, hard-shell dips, sprinkles, candy toppings, milkshakes, and more, there are lots of options to choose from. The service was friendly and efficient, and we had our treats in hand within just a few minutes. Since I needed a gluten-free option and still had a long drive ahead, I kept it simple with a cup of vanilla soft serve topped with rainbow sprinkles. Sometimes simple is exactly what you need, and it definitely hit the spot. The portions were generous for the price, which is especially appreciated these days. There isn't any outdoor seating, and the parking lot is quite small, so I could see it getting crowded during busier times. I also would have loved to see hard ice cream offered in addition to soft serve. Overall, this was exactly what we needed: a quick, affordable late-night ice cream stop with friendly service and plenty of topping choices. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, I'd happily stop again if I were passing through and looking for a sweet treat after hours.
