Held every Saturday from the middle of June until October... and special winter events on…read moreoccasion... this is a bustling market with a wide variety of food, plants, and crafts. 1 star deduction for parking... the police have started blocking off sections of the diagonal parking in front of town hall and positioning an officer to be sure no one uses the spots... not very visitor friendly... since town hall isn't open? New This Year Brunty Farms - chicken and eggs... they also have a booth at Howe Meadow Farmer's Market... and offer a discount of eggs if you bring the box back and re-use it. Trigo's Market Bakery - nice selection of round and rectangle loafs... with a rotating foccacia selection. They also have a stuffed foccacia (forgot the name of the style) and we tried the pear, walnut, blue cheese... outstanding! Beefallo - haven't tried them yet, but they offer ground, patties, steaks and other cuts of American Buffalo's that have been bread with cows? The booth has been packed so I haven't heard the pitch yet. Repeat Winners The Pierogi Lady - Serves some hot to eat there... the rest frozen... you can even order off of her Facebook page and pick them up at the market... so far this year we've loved the crab rangoon and the french onion... and this week picked up some chicken pot pie and yam with walnuts to try. Bluebird Meadow Farms - bratwurst, breakfast sausage, ribs, roasts and later in the season even duck Hattie's Cafe - great selection of jams and salsa Edgesmith - next week I'll start my yearly cycle of sending my chef's knives in for a pro sharpening... they do a great job with pruners too. 2 Amish farms come as well as 4 or 5 local offerings of specialty lettuce, herb and garlic growers. We don't go for the candle seller or the popcorn person... but at least once a season we buy from the honey people and the maple syrup lady. Lots to choose from... and everyone is really friendly... worth the drive to check out some of the local breakfast or lunch places... and a can't miss when the Taste of Hudson is happening!

It's a bit of a drive for us... but on the way to the Super Walmart... sooo ... if we want to brave the Tallmadge Circle at rush house it's worth the hike! Love the fact that I can log on and check out who has what before making the drive!! The city has a policy of pointing all departments to the root web site... and there is NO information on the farmers market to be found there... Facebook dot com slash TallmadgeFarmersMarket is the best option... but Yelp won't allow it in the web address field? 4 - 7 on Thursdays in the High School parking lot... so traffic can be a bit of a snarl... and the weekend markets have more of a fruit and veggie diversity... so while we love this one... it's not market nirvana for us.

Oct is a great time to visit for a wide selection of squash, peppers, eggplant, cauliflower and more. It's cash only for the veggies. You can buy individual items (many for 50 cents/75 cents/1 dollar) or buy larger portions for preserving. Service is always friendly and helpful, and the rural, rustic vibe makes you want to linger and take pictures.

This is a self serve stand located inside a super cute barn space. It's on the honor system so you just pick out what you would like and write up a receipt for your total. Accepts cash and mobile payments. I bought some veggies, loose leaf tea, done frozen meats and some blueberry lavender jelly that is delicious!! The area is beautiful, and it was easy to find. I didn't meet anyone during my visit but the farm is so pretty. I hope to go back, and you should definitely visit too!

It's nice and convenient that it's right near the bike trail. They could do a lot more to cater to…read morethose people - to make it a stopping point for a healthy snack or drink - But they don't have apple samples on weekdays; they won't let you buy single apples; the staff are snippy and don't know what's going on, and it REEKS of the artificial, phthalate-ridden candles and air fresheners they sell here. Also, the apples are way in the back past all the smelly stuff and touristy garbage - like they're just an afterthought. That's sad.

Unfortunately, it was unseasonably cold and very, very windy at the time of our visit. Many vendors were losing their tents and supplies to the wind. Despite that, some vendors continued on, and we enjoyed looking (and tasting!) a variety of food and other goods. We picked up some sweet treats from Red Bean Bakes and Black Sheep Baking Co, while Lionforce BBQ dished us up some nice warm breakfast burritos to enjoy at the provided picnic tables. A lively strings duo provided some great music too.

It was a highlight of the trip! The market is right downtown in a gorgeous old building, make sure to look at the ceilings. There are public parking areas all around outside, but it does get busy. There are also side buildings and outdoor stalls nearby, so be sure to check them out. Inside is rows upon rows of amazing local vendors with food to enjoy there, or many items to buy and take home. Meat counters, fresh vegetables and fruit, sauces, Middle Eastern food, Greek, Mexican, Gyros, sandwiches, baked goods, salads and so much more are all over. Even stalls that repeat the same types of items have their own unique spin and history. It's busy, with people everywhere looking and enjoying their purchases. Prices are reasonable, especially how fresh and local everything is. I bought a bunch of small things to eat while we walked, together we bought shishkabobs and steak to enjoy at home the following day. It's a great place to shop local!

Food and architecture are two areas where it deserves far more recognition, and this market showcases both beautifully. 2. I'm coming back. 3. There is absolutely zero chance I stay in a hotel next time. I need a place with a kitchen. When I return, I fully intend to walk through this market, buy from no fewer than 10 stalls, and somehow end up preparing enough food for 25 people--even if it's only my family of four. The specialties here are endless. The uncooked pierogies nearly broke my heart because I had no way to take them home and cook them myself. Sausage lovers will be in heaven, and beyond that, you'll find incredible produce, fresh fish, quality proteins, and a wonderful representation of the many cultures that make Cleveland what it is. All of this is housed inside a historic building with stunning architecture that makes the experience even better. Pro tip: Climb the stairs to the second floor for an incredible bird's-eye view of the entire market. It's the perfect way to appreciate just how special this Cleveland landmark really is.
