The other thing I love about this place is there's no upsell. I hate when I spend money to take my family somewhere and they're selling snacks or toys which can sometimes lead to an argument that puts a damper on the whole experience. We've spent hours tinkering around here. A space where kids have total creative freedom is pretty rare these days and it's never been more needed. A space like this should be in every community. She has grown so much both academically and socially, and she's learned a wide variety of things. The school provides free meals every day, which is such a help for families. They also host wonderful events throughout the year, including Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations, a Christmas party that bring every family together. We love seeing her come home with all kinds of writing and artwork from class, as well as plants and vegetables she's helped grow in their garden. It's clear the teachers put a lot of care and thought into creating a nurturing, engaging environment for the children. Finding quality infant care that doesn't feel impersonal yet still offers resources beyond a home daycare is nearly impossible, but Partners in Learning achieves this balance beautifully. Our daughter started in the infant room at 8 months old, and at 16 months, she's thriving. Every morning, she lights up when she sees Ms. V and never leaves in the afternoon without blowing a sweet kiss to Ms. P. The love and genuine care these teachers show is truly heartwarming, and it's clear they play an important role in her development and happiness. I also appreciate the cozy sleep area, which creates a slightly separate environment for rest vs play, and the wonderful outdoor playground designed specifically for children under 2--it's a perfect space for safe exploration and play. I was hospitalized in October of 2024 and Ms. Kristina was such a security person for my daughter. Ms. Cat always went out of her way to check in on us and really make us feel like family. My daughter recently moved into the two's classroom with Ms. Michelle and Ms. Maria to which my daughter looks forward to going to school to see her two favorite girls. I really enjoy the lesson plans they have set up for the kiddos and how much patience Ms. Maria has with my daughters potty training journey. After a very successful first year in the sport with Conejo Valley Fencing Club, we brought our…read moreson to Ace Fencing to work on improving his fundamentals with an eye towards participating in competitions in the future. From the start, both coaches seemed to have a slightly negative bias against fencers who were not classically taught through their salon, and asked that we enroll our high-school-age student in a beginning class, with several students under the age of ten. We did so, but ultimately, even with their recommended private lessons, didn't see much in the way of progress, and got no feedback from the staff. So we offered to add more private lessons as well, in replacement of the beginning class, and were rejected. From our perspective, the adult attendees at this salon are fantastic--warm, open, and more than willing to welcome new members to their group. They genuinely love the sport and want to see everyone succeed. However, this cannot be said of their coaching staff. Ultimately, if you want to follow their regimen, the staff here is probably OK, but if you don't fit their format, there's not much engagement, and they don't seem to have a problem pitting high-schoolers against elementary students if it suits them to do so. If your elementary-age student is OK facing off against high school students, this place could work. Otherwise, we would recommend you find another place, if possible, especially if your student is older and just starting out, or catching up to others.
