When I asked why I had to pay for the label, I wasn't given a real answer. You said you were "in high demand". I was never told how much the fee was. You didn't say it was 25 cents, you said it was a few dollars. If I was told it was 25 cents then that would surely be no big deal. It didn't make sense to me since I had inquired about it before I arrived. I was not told about any fee, just urged to "bring it in"! I was under the impression that the QR code would be scanned, a label printed, and my package accepted and picked up by Fedex. This is not something I have been mislead about - I've done it many times. And the other places I have used are I believe also independent shipping stores, which like you must have some agreement with Fedex otherwise why would you take their packages in the first place? Why doesn't everyone charge a fee? Sorry, but your claim that printing a label is not cost effective for you doesn't make sense specifically since you claim you are in 'high demand'. read more

The owner of this business is very impatient and just wants you to pay and leave. Don't ask anything. If you do listen hard because he will rattle off a quick answer and if you didn't get it because it's confusing he looks at you like you are stupid. He also yelled at one of his employees when I was there and it was really unnecessary. I will not be going back there. We need UPS up here. Not this guy. read more

Went into this business to ship an item back to Amazon. The Amazon app said free return shipping, no label or printing needed. When I got to Mountain Postal Pack and Ship, they said they CHARGE$2 TO PRINT A UPS LABEL. What? Their justification was that print toner is expensive. I've NEVER had an establishment charge to print a UPS label. I took my item to another UPS store and will not be back to this establishment. read more

Staff was friendly and quick service. But I needed to e mail a document and print one page document as a test. Didn't come out right but I didn't mind. I regularly do this same process for work all over. A typical charge is $.45-$.55. Sometimes $.75. What I did mind was there was a ... Photo fee, printing fee computer fee..! Great experience using Mountain Postal and would highly recommend from their outstanding customer service and support to the txt notifications that come in near real time packages are logged. After experiencing US Postal service on Al Tahoe and not knowing if or when packages would arrive to long lines around the holidays resulted in my asking for a refund for my annual fee back of over $220 back. So happy to have found a family owned and local business nearby where I can pick up all my mail and packages with a friendly staff to go out of their way to help. Mountain Postal has proven to a convenient and huge time saver when returning purchases/ packages back to online businesses such as Amazon (For a small fee, the friendly staff with whom I've also enjoyed getting to know) print out a mailing labels which has proven invaluable and so convenient while on the go. Im so thankful to have Mountain Postal and its helpful and friendly staff there ready to assist. Glad I don't have to drive down the hill to return purchases from retail and online companies. Again, Mountain Postal Pack and Ship is a lifesaver when it comes to a fast, efficient way to ship items and receiving mail packages to one's own address. Also, learning I didn't have a mailbox at my billing address I was pleased to find out Mountain Postal mailbox actual delivery address and not a P.O. Box. So I went there today to overnight a check, the lady helping me was confused and didn't know how to put in the address info and asked me to move over to the other lady for help. The other lady working (she has an accent) yelled at this clerk "YOU JUST NEED TO FIGURE IT OUT, YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MANY TIMES" then the poor clerk that clearly didn't know what she was doing was whimpering and completely flustered, I just let her know thank you for your help and I left to go to fed ex store. What an experience, felt so bad for her to be ridiculed in front of customers how unprofessional and embarrassing. read more

I dropped off a package for UPS. Store clerk said "Thanks" and that was it. Package was "lost", and UPS won't honor insurance because I have no proof I dropped it off. Turns out that they are supposed to have a device to scan the package label when they receive it, which, for whatever reason, they don't have. Speaking to them to try to resolve this I find out that UPS routinely picks up packages without scanning them in, as they should. Avoid this location like the plague, or videotape yourself dropping off packages so you have proof they received it. Otherwise you could wind up losing everything. read more

I don't normally write reviews but after leaving their store the other day I had to take a moment to thank them. I had to ship a very fragile item to my mother overseas and the level of care that they took in packing our family heirloom was beyond compare. I have shipped fragile items in the past that ultimately end up chipped, broken and in one case, shattered. I know that it's not the packing facility's responsibility on how the deliveries are handled, but I can assure you that the materials they use and the way that they package will have your fragile items delivered safe and sound. The staff was friendly and I even met the owners, Bob and Tania who were so nice and accommodating. We ended up striking up a conversation (and I am Very shy) and ended up leaving the store in full-on laughter. I know this is silly but I feel like I just made some really great friends. I will definitely be using their services in the future and can't wait to stop back in to see my "new friends". Thanks guys! Excellent service! Friendly staff!! read more

I was so upset to drive all the way here on a Friday afternoon to get there by 5 as their hours indicated both online and posted on their door. I got there at 4:50 pm. That's 10 min before they advertise to close. I guess they close up when it's convenient for them but not for their customers. I will drive down to the UPS store 20 minutes away instead . read more

When I walked in, I had a vacuum cleaner box in my hands & a piece of paper for the FED-EX label sticking out. The older gentleman 'grabbed' the paper out of my hand (not in a nice way) and then he proceded to tell me that it would be $2 to tape the box & also put the FED-EX thing into their system. I was a little surprised at his rude demeanor... before I could respond, he asked "Do you have $2" to pay for it? Well - my hands were full with the box & my wallet was in my car... so I said never mind and walked back out with the box. (Interested that Patrick's review 05.06.18 said it was $1 to tape/ship the box... so it sounds like people are making up this charge and want cash for it?) I will go to the FED-EX store, instead where they have provided me with good & friendly service in the past. Looks like other people have complained of this location, this gentleman as well. Went in this location with a prepaid Fed Ex label to return a pair of shoes. I already had the box and it needed a piece of tape over the top. The owner proceeded to tell me she doesn't make money on this type of transaction and I needed to pay $1.00 to tape the box. I said fine and pulled out my debit card, she then proceeded to tell me it's a minimum of $2.50 to use a card! I told her I would not pay that for a piece of packing tape. She grumbled a bit and taped the top of the box and told me to bring a dollar cash back later that day. What an awful place and ownership, it's obvious by the reviews that these people have some serious issues with customer care especially in a small town. I am a tourist up here for the first time and I have to say, it's hard to find pleasant folks. My experience has been fairly dry concerning locals. It's understandable. However, I came by this shop today and needed some copies made and internet service and scanning done etc etc. I was $2 short of cash and the woman behind the counter literally paid for it. It was such a sweet gesturer and when I came back with a $20 bill, she refused to take it. Hard to find folks like this anymore. Everyone there was nice and friendly and accommodating. Wow. Just wow. Prior to arriving, I had called and asked when they were open till. The lady answered and seemed very nice. However, when I entered the store, the lady treated me like absolute shit. I opened our conversation with "Hey I had called earlier and..." after not even finishing my sentence i was met with a heavy scoff and a look on the ladies face like I was the stupidest human being on the planet. Apparently im an idiot for thinking she might remember talking to me. ANYWAY, i was trying to print out documents and sign them then fax them. I couldnt even log into my email the internet was going so slow. When i told the lady, she quickly retorted "Well the internet is working at all my other stations just fine". This lady was so god damn disrespectful.... seriously who shit in her cereal. A nice young guy came and tried to help me and came to the conclusion that the internet really wasnt working (Yeah im not some dipshit making stuff up, Lady.) They tried to reboot the modem but it still wasnt working. The lady made a point to say that the internet was working just fine at her other computers multiple times, so I asked if i could use one of the other computers. She responded "NO" and I promptly left. I am actually glad I left though, because I got everything i needed finished at Office Depot and it was only $1.08. If i would have stayed, i would have paid $4.00 for the internet usage alone and $2 to print everything out. God knows what they charge for faxing. Stay away from this place unless you like shitty customer service and a Lady who clearly has something lodged in her nether region. read more

90% of these negative comments seem written by grumpy impulsive people who don't realize how a business works - much less how the postal system operates! I was vacationing in Tahoe and needed to ship some things back home and the owners here were completely helpful, with totally reasonable prices. I run a business that ships things daily and the rates they offer here are on in line with what you'll find at any well-run UPS store in North America. A professional spot with extra friendly service. Recommended highly. Shame that so many squeaky wheels come here to vent ridiculous and unfounded complaints.
