No pizza for two weeks and a terrible hangover make for an excellent excuse to eat fast food pizza in a city filled with culinary gems. I really just needed pizza. We've all been there before. It's a tough spot to be in. We had a few hours to kill before our flight, were already checked out of our hotel and were too hungover to do anything besides sit and eat lots of pizza. Yelp to the rescue, and suddenly we found ourselves at Mucci's staring at beautiful glass case that was filled with slices. From goat cheese to veggie and even a cheeseburger slice, they pretty much had every pizza combo imaginable. After some careful consideration, I went with a slice of margarita, a slice of pepperoni and olive and a large fountain soda. I wouldn't call this high quality pizza, but it was dripping in grease and cheese and was exactly what I needed in that moment. Usually I prefer a crispy and thin crust slice, and instead this was super thick and doughy. But, all in all for fast food pizza this really wasn't so bad. The sauce was flavorful, there was plenty of cheese and the toppings were not skimpy. They also have an assortment of salads, sandwiches and empanadas. My boyfriend ordered a spinach and cheese empanada and really enjoyed it. Prices weren't bad, and I think we both ate for around 10-12 euro. Don't get too hungover like I did and try to enjoy a more quality lunch in Barcelona. But, if you find yourself in a desperate situation where you need pizza then Mucci's will not fail to get the job done. read more

Best empanadas in Barcelona so far. Crispy and warm shells covering a nice juicy, and meaty inside. We got the spicy beef empanada and it did not disappoint. I've only eaten a couple of empanadas in Barcelona, but the shell was almost never right until I came here. Place was full and you could tell everyone was enjoying themselves inside. The food, the view from the window seat, and the ambience made me feel like a local. More on the ambience - our waiter was patient with our broken Spanish, and the dishes came to us in their own custom print muchi paper wrappers. Glad to have found this place! read more

Possibly the worst pizza on the planet. Worse than any frozen pizza you could make at home. Potatoes Bravas were really good.

This is a great spot for a fun, quick bite. Their entire menu looks delicious and you won't believe the prices either. We sat down and were quickly greeted, got an 8euro pitcher of Sangria and were on our way. The pizza was great and the empanadas did not disappoint. Our favorites were spicy beef and mozzarella onion. We got 3 rounds of pitchers and dinner for 3 for a whopping 53 euros. Not to mention the central location. Ate here a few times while we were in Barcelona. Primarily a pizza place, but they have other things. You can get pizza by the slice or the whole pie. We order pizza our first night and it was really good. Went there for breakfasts a few times, we really like poached eggs, my wife went for the salad and I went for the bacon. First time in Barcelona with my girlfriend and decided to have a late night snack down the street from our hotel. Stumbled on Mucci's and it looked like a cute and quick little spot to stop so we went in and were immediately seated. The waitress was very quick to come check on us and answer any questions and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu again. I ordered a zucchini pizza slice and cheese bacon fries while my girlfriend got the chicken empanada. The empanada was very chicken-y but soooo flavorful - we absolutely loved it. The bacon cheese fries were more than a little greasy as expected and a little too cheesy, but delicious nonetheless. The pizza was also a little too greasy, but very good as well! We would recommend for anyone not looking for a healthy meal, but rather one that really fills you up and leaves you in a lethargic state of satisfaction. read more

This place is great. I ordered the Mediterranean and the Goat Cheese slices. The crust is excellent and the taste gourmet. The white wine by the glass was a great pairing. The servers are very friendly and this is a relaxed atmosphere. You can order at the counter or sitting down, and they have a few tables outside with heat lamps for Al fresco dining. We had the "margherita pizza" which was covered in tomatoes and no basil... So I'd call this cheese and tomato pizza. Also had a slic of the bacon pizza, which was fine, but nothing special. The rela star of our meal was the onion and cheese empanada... Delicious! Wish we had ordered several of these. The house wine was fine, a little bubbly. Came here based on a Yelp review and we were not disappointed. This is actually two restaurants joined together- a pizza place and a hamburger joint. There was no room in the pizza part when we came so we were promptly seated in the other section but happily served pizzas just the same. I can't stand wasteful businesses!! I love the other Mucci's location because the bartender is friendly and welcoming to EVERYONE. Not this location!! The bartender poured me the wrong size beer for the 2 pizzas 1 beer combo. He hardly explained that the beer that I got had extra ounces and wasn't included in the promo. I don't understand why I couldn't just keep the beer because it was already poured, but nevertheless I explained that he could pour my beer into the smaller glass. Instead he poured a new beer into a small glass and dumped my fresh beer down the drain! I can't stand wasteful businesses!! I'd rather walk to the other Mucci's for friendly service. read more
