Being from United States the menu was a little confusing. I got the Margherita pizza which said it was tomato, mozerella cheese and green olives. I asked for black olives instead. When the pizza came out, the lady looked in the box and took it back to the kitchen and came back out and handed it to me. I opened the box and was very surprised !! It was a cheese pizza with black and green olives on it. The waitress tried to convince me they were black olives. Maybe olives are different in different countries. I also asked about the tomatoes and was told it is tomato sauce not actually tomatoes. So I had a cheese pizza with olives. I end up picking the olives off and just having a cheese pizza. So my experience was not the best. The pizza was ok, nothing spectacular. read more

Loved this place so much, went twice for dinner within the same week during a 10-day Barcelona trip. It was that good - awesome service with fantastic local & craft beer selection. On both trips, ordered the pizza with arugula, ham, and Parmesan - so fresh, with a perfectly thin crust with a slight crunch at the bottom. The mushroom or chorizo pizzas are also excellent choices - only wish I had been able to try more. Ambience-wise, this place is not only quirky, but in a clever way. Mannequin hand from the walls with dripped paint hold the wiring for the table lamps, for instance, and the wall menu is written backward to reflect properly in the mirror on the opposite wall. Either 80's movies or Friends playing on the TV. Such a nice atmosphere, you'll want to spend hours there. read more

We got 3 pizzas for 4 hungry people and everyone was full by the end. Each pizza we had was delicious in it's own way. There was a good balsamic drizzle at the table which we added to the white pizza with ham and dates which really kicked it up a notch. The person working there knew English pretty well, so it made it easier for us Americans. He was there by himself. When we arrived, no one else was there and we got great service quickly. There were a dozen other people there by the time we left and I imagine they had to wait a little longer for their food. I would definitely go here again. read more

This place has great pizza, and an excellent selection of local craft beers. You can get your pizza as takeaway, but I recommend you take a moment to appreciate the interior design, which is quite original. Only downside is that they do not accept card payments, so keep cash handy. read more

This place was adorable and I wanted to love it, but I would say the food was just average at best. Definitely do not get the Caesar Salad because it is not really Caesar Salad. I can't complain about the pizza as it was good enough, but definitely not 5 stars. Went here for low key dinner on our first night in Barcelona. Wait staff was friend and accommodating. Provided menus in English. Messie Pizza is pretty unforgettable. From the thin, crisp hand-tossed crust to the generous toppings and delicious cheese it's a pizza you will still be thinking about the next day. They also offer a dozen or so different types of beer and six different kinds of wine. There is a selection of various types of pizza if you care for a slice or you can order a whole one. Delivery is available but I live close enough to walk over.The service is always friendly and often it is the owner who takes your order. He goes out of his way to make all his customers feel welcome and is always interested in how you liked your meal. I recommend Messie for either dining in or carrying out. read more

This place is a great spot where you enjoy tasty pizzas with fresh salad and a large choice of biers as much as you enjoy the cosy atmosphere. The restaurant is located in Garcia area in our neighborhood during our stay in Barcelona. The owner Eric is welcoming, sharing the good vibe with us as a family.
