I didn't trust these quotes at all since I knew my old garage floor was not in great shape. Obed showed great knowledge with epoxying floors. He pointed out a bunch of cracks and pits that would need to be opened up and filled. My garage also had something strange where someone had extended the footing with additional concrete. This caused extra concrete ledges around my entire footing. Obed said he could address all of it. I also needed trim installed and he said he could do that as well. Even with the trim install, his quote came out competitive with the other quotes. Obed did an amazing job with the garage floor epoxy and the trim work. I was very impressed with the end result. I know he went above and beyond to take additional time to fix issues so that the end result would be good. For example, we agreed to have one small part of the extra concrete ground down so the floor would be flat. As they were prepping the other extra concrete for epoxy, the concrete actually started cracking and falling off. Without charging me extra, they also removed this extra concrete so the end result was an entirely flat floor without any additional concrete ledges. After grinding the floor, Obed realized that it would best to level the floor. Again, without an additional charge, he leveled the floor. He also filled in a bunch of concrete holes and voids on the concrete step by the door leading into the house. When installing the trim, they took the time to specially contour the bottom of the trim to match the many dips in my old garage floor. While leveling did help with the dips, my garage floor just had some extreme dips. In the end, I was beyond happy with the end result. I originally hired him to epoxy my floor, but he ended up fixing so many different things and made the entire garage better because of it.

Reynaldo and his team at RG Roofing did a terrific job for us under difficult circumstances when we…read morefound a leak around our skylight just as the weather was turning frigid before it was to warm with an atmospheric river of rain to follow. A contractor friend recommended Reynaldo who is his roofer on a residential build. Reynaldo came over within an hour, went all over the roof, including into the crawl space where significant rot in the plywood sheathing was evident in several locations. He went over all the options (we have a metal roof in the back where we've attached solar panels, but wanted to keep shingles in front and sides since I'm up there a lot clearing debris from all the firs around us and the metal is just to slippery when wet). So he outlined a plan to replace the 2300 sq ft of shingled roofing. I went over his bid with my contractor friend who vouched for the quality of his work and felt the bid was fair. I checked out his status with the Department of Labor and Industries and saw he was licensed, bonded and had insurance for his workers. The weather went from rain (that's when the leak really let us know it was there) to freezing temperatures within a day. His crew showed up with the temperature at 14 degrees F. Reynaldo saw that rain was to be coming in a few days and didn't want to wait to begin. His crew was very hard working. Each day they worked into the night with artificial lighting. Day 1 so that they could strip all the old shingles off to assess how much of the plywood sheathing needed to be replaced. The next day they again worked into the night getting the plywood down and the membrane in place. Each day they worked straight through with maybe 30-45 min at lunch. Remember it never got out of the teens the first day and was in the 20's the 2nd day. No music, not much talking, no smoking, just worked. We kept hot coffee in the garage with snacks and lined up pizza for lunches indoors so they could warm up. Reynaldo was meticulous with details and careful with all the work. He took me up onto the roof to show what he'd found and to go over options. The crew finished up at 7PM on the last day and the rains began within an hour or so. The cost was within what he bid. There was extra plywood sheathing needed, but he'd discussed that possibility in his bid. He did a few extras we didn't expect: --He thought our ridge venting could be improved, so changed it--that wasn't part of the bid, but he didn't charge extra. He also made suggestions for ventilation on the roofed sides of the house and near the gables. --We have built in gutters. Those around our entryway were not pitched to drain and have had standing water for years. He automatically corrected that as well... We are very happy with Reynaldo and his crew and would highly recommend him to others.

JSM Concrete Design's pricing is very fair and with his longevity, 25 years in business, he is in for the long term. He has been responsive with my follow up questions, although we have not had any warranty issues. My client's love working with him, as he is such a gentleman and pleasure to work with.
