I love jalapeños and I failed to ask for an extra grilled jalapeño, so that's on me. The service was friendly and attentive. And nice ambience. Wasn't crowded. Of course Monday night at 7:30pm. I would do it again.

The tostadas were dry and tasteless, as if they were made from a dried cardboard slurry or something. The salsa was strange and impossible to discern whether it was homemade or commercially available. In any case, neither classification would want to claim it. It is incomprehensible how most Mexican restaurants seem to get terribly wrong this critically important this simple first impression offering. It's not hard, folks. You know what's in salsa; just make it fresh every day, and for goodness' sake, taste it before you serve it. Chips don't require a Ph.D, either; just cut some corn tortillas into triangles, fry them up and hit 'em with a little salt. But please...get rid of the little cardboard things! If you get this one thing right, you'll go a long way toward having more repeat customers. We had fajita tacos for our entree, and they were surprisingly tasty and tender. The service was very good, as was the ambiance. We would be back if they would let me make the chips and salsa.

Thankfully, Yelp absolutely came through clutch (as it usually does) and led us to Our Breakfast Place. We intentionally tried to time things to beat the post-church crowd and I think we mostly succeeded... though there was still a little bit of a wait. Thankfully, this place is absolutely worth the wait! The restaurant was bustling and busy but still had a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. The menu was extensive with tons of tempting breakfast options, the prices were very reasonable to me, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our waitress was so kind and friendly and even the women seated nearby struck up conversation with us while we waited for our food. It just had that warm, community-oriented breakfast spot vibe. I ordered the blueberry lemon pancakes which were a seasonal special and wow, they were fantastic. Sweet but not overly so, fluffy, flavorful, and the combo also came with an egg and I chose two slices of bacon. All delicious and certainly plenty filling. The coffee was strong too, which I greatly appreciated. All in all, this was a five-star breakfast experience and the kind of local spot I love discovering while traveling. If I'm ever back in Waco, I'd happily return.

The place was at the end of a shopping strip. The restaurant was bright and typical to any breakfast restaurant Our waiter was nice and answered our questions. I like that they have smaller portions and regular portions. I order the small french toast and with poached egg and sausage. It was just enough since I cutting back, you may need regular portion for a big appetite. Overall it was decent. The food came out quickly and the price was good. I forgot to take pics.

My open faced chili burger and onion rings were excellent and not over served. My husband had the chicken fried steak special. The gravy was super yummy and the steak tender. Others in our party ordered bacon & eggs. The bacon is SUPER yummy! We would definitely return. Service was friendly and quick, but not so quick that we suspected microwave use. The ambiance is diner style in a caboose and comfortable. The restroom was very clean. This is out in a small town and worth going out of your way to dine there!!!!

Unfortunately, this visit felt more like convenience than cooking. The mashed potatoes, corn, and even the roll have been reheated in a microwave. I also watched a meatloaf dinner taken out of the microwave and then returned into it. I hope it wasnt served later. The country-fried chicken tasted and looked like a frozen, pre-made product rather than something freshly prepared. I say this with confidence as the server/cook just grabbed it out a drawer and threw it in fryer. The gravy had the most flavor on the plate, although it tasted like a standard mix rather than house-made. The rest of the meal was bland and forgettable. The customer service wasn't rude, but it felt robotic--there was very little warmth, personality, or the kind of hospitality that makes a neighborhood diner special. I came hoping for a home-cooked meal and that nostalgic diner charm. Instead, I left wishing more restaurants would bring back the pride, care, and personal touch that once defined the diner experience

Last night we showed up and made a large order from the computerized kiosk. And then waited. The first thing the manager said to us was not to make that order on the kiosk. Isn't that what they are the for? It took a total of 45minutes to make all the sandwiches, but half way through they stopped making them. I asked how much longer, and the cashier stated that they had to do the drive through orders first. I told her but i was there before the cars, her answer was a long "yep" and took another customer's order. They even cleared my order from the screen so the timer would stop counting. THE WORST PART: One of my inmates had an allergy to onions, so i ordered all of the cheeseburgers with no onions. Wouldn't you know, 2 of his burgers were made with onions. He could have become extremely sick or even died at the hands of a McDonald's employee who can't read a screen. They did remake, but did not apologize. I told the manager a more specific time frame that i would be coming by and she stated that she wants 2-3hrs notice for my orders. Not even possible! You think management would enjoy an expensive order helping them hit their numbers for that hour. I guess not here. Will not return to this McDonald's.
