We lived close to Millers so we ended up there many times. The food is all so good. I would rave about the special chicken salad which is 5 star worthy. Get the cinnamon rolls if there are any left as they are delicious. They also have a small store. The Millers and staff are a very friendly bunch. The best homemade fresh bread I've had in ages. The sandwiches are amazing, which is further proven if you stop by near lunch time. Holy cow what a line, but they were quick and efficient on getting our much out to us. Small town place with a small town feel and such sweet folks running it and shopping there. For several years I have made the 45-minute drive to Miller's for their special chicken salad. My family and I love the food. However, our last two visits have been frustrating. They haven't kept our orders together, so one person in our party will get his/her food, and it takes about 30 minutes for the rest of us to eventually get ours. Keep in mind we usually order cold sandwiches. Tonight they got our orders mixed up, and I had to go to the counter to ask about my sandwich after almost 1/2 an hour. By then I had to take it to go, and then I had to remind them about our iced coffee order. There were only 3 other people there, so I'm not sure why the service was so slow and confusing. I really hope the service improves. They have always done an excellent job in the past. read more

We stopped by Miller's yesterday for the first time, but it won't be the last time. I was impressed with the variety of unusual (for central Texas) items they offer. We bought long grain brown rice and tomato basil pasta. The pastries had me drooling, but unfortunately they are not on our edible list. Next time we will stop by closer to lunch time and get some of their deli offerings. The service is perfect--wander around to see what they have, and when you need help or want to check out, someone is right there. Extremely clean store, smells heavenly due to the pastries and deli section, and friendly helpful staff. What more could you want? read more

Wow. What a great 75 mile day trip . A little out of the way. But we needed a country drive. We wanted " airing out " and to celebrate my uncles Birthday. . Great lunch spot . We had their special chicken salad sandwich's and a very good phili steak sandwich. Both were worth bragging about. Family run , young people mature above their age kept trying to help us out. We filled up the backseat with breads, jelly's , pies and meats. The owner though very busy had time to come and visit our table . His lovely wife running the grill called hello out to us and to others as they come up to the busy counter. They called most their customers by their names. My uncle a frequent customer from Marlin, who took us there , even got a call from them on his birthday. They sang Happy Birthday to him. Now that is customer service above and beyond. read more

This little gem of a place is worth driving out of the way to it. The sandwiches remind you of how your mom made them as a young child. The homemade packaging of spices, pasta, candy, pantry staples....so nostalgic. They sell bags of ice of that small crushed type that we get at Sonic in our Route 44's.
