I took my car to that shop for a problem with the muffler. The mechanic told me that I had to change the entire muffler connection. The price for the work was 490 dollars. The mechanic told me that he only received cash for this reason he did not give me a receipt. 10 months later a part of the muffler broke. When I came back to request a repair, the mechanic suggested that I change the entire exhaust system again. I told him that they had repaired the muffler 10 months before but he did not want to admit that he had done that job. In conclusion, the work done was of poor quality and abuses the clients requesting cash to later evade their responsibility. read more

The negative few reviews are 100% true.  If you are a customer who has given them positive reviews I am 100% certain you take your car more frequently into their shop.  The reason I say that is because Alex or Kim create more problems in your car so you do go back.  You may thinks their price and service is good but you are getting scammed by them. It use to be a great place 6-7 years ago when a older gentleman was in charge. Probably a family member to Alex and Kim. Since Kim and Alex have taken over there integrity is the worst. I only came to them as I recently bought a lesser price American car. I would not take any high end or European car to them. Here is what happened. My clutch was slipping as my car was sitting for 3-4 months in my driveway.  Took it to there shop and was told I have to replace clutch kit, release bearing, fly wheel, and slave cylinder.  They priced me $850 for labour $40 for transmission fluid, and $2000 for parts and said cash only. They also said I need a rear wheel bearing assembly (said $400) and all brake rotors (another $800) needed replacement. Since it was so much I said I will do the clutch work first and the rest later. For the clutch 4 parts they could not get the fly wheel and said they can possibly machine the one that's on there down.  And said it would be okay and just will make some noise.   Fast forward I did a bit of research and was able to order all 4 parts from the USA with shipping to canada for $725 cdn from Chrysler USA.  I informed them I would supply the parts.  Alex then said labour would be more if I supplied the parts. So from $850 plus the $40 for transmission fluid. The price went to $1100 plus $40.  Which I was okay with.  Alex said I can't leave the car there and would have to remove my car and bring back with part which to I agreed on. Alex also charged me $80 for holding my car for 3 days which I was okay with. So today I go to pick the car. I give the 80.  Now my car won't start or move at all.  And neither KIM or Alex were willing to help.  And said they are not responsible if I leave my car parked there.  So in the plaza there are several other mechanic so I went to HTS and explained my situation to haseeb and angel.  Angel walked with me to the other side of plaza to my car with some fluid. Poured the fluid in my engine and the car started and he moved it to his shop. At his shop he diagnosed my car and said it just out of fluid and the slave cylinder needs replacements will cost me $200 with parts to fix. Angel also told me Manual stick shift car don't use transmission fluid and use gear oil or brake fluid.  And both are poured from the brake fluid reservoir.  So here Alex lied again charging me $40 for $10 -$15 gear oil.  Also I believe Alex drained my oil so I would have issues moving my car.  My drive way at home had small oil stain on driveway at back of car. But at Angel shop all the oil leak was under the engine.  If that was the case I would have had my driveway at home soaked in oil.  Thus my conclusion on something Alex did to make the oil leak further. I know this is a long story, but hopefully you see where I a going.  I would not recommend taking your car to muffler guys as Alex and Kim are both crooks.  I spoke with a friend whose family member also did a muffler job with them and after 4 month went back to them and they said they did not do the job.  As they only take cash and don't provide a proper receipt it very hard to find a resolution or file a complaint. Place doesn't look like much but the guys do great work. We have an older Honda and an older Subaru and the guys have made many repairs using their heads instead of just swapping out for new parts, including exhaust work. Found me a used high performance muffler off a Subaru for way less money that a cheap aftermarket replacement, let alone a factory unit. Just booked an appointment for Sat AM to get my drivers power window fixed on my Subaru. My friend takes his Subaru here as well and gets looked after great. I recommend these guys! read more

Called ahead to see if I needed appointment and was told it was first come first served. Arrived shortly after and was greeted immediately and seen quickly thereafter. They told me the issue and the cost and then waited. They did the work in time and the cost was reasonable. Great group to deal with and would definitely come back/recommend to family. Absolutely no upselling or pressure. Waiting area is large and is close to Tim's across the street if you're there for a longer period of time. read more

Had my muffler changed at the Muffler Guy. Average pricing and decent work done. Had to go back a second time because the muffler was still making noises. They cleaned the loose papers in my car along with my watch I had forgotten to take back that was in the glove compartment. My stolen watch was never returned. This job costed me a citizen watch, cost of the muffler, labour, and a second trip back to the shop. Personally I would not go back. read more
