Rude jerks who gave me a $1100+ quote, illegible writing on their card (no customer info, no printed quote), said I didn't have to work on all repairs at once, but wouldn't explain to me what I can have worked on now if it's not all at once! Barely looked me in the eye as they walked away! Had my brother call when I got home, thinking he'll understand better, but he's not a mechanic. Maybe they thought we'd attempt the work by ourselves, and they hung up. I went somewhere else to do all the work plus more than the mechanic suggested, because he gave a free half-assed inspection that would've costed me a second trip for another repair. First time I went for repairs on my exhaust. Was expecting a new exhaust on my 8 year old truck. Went across the street for breakfast and truck was repaired for $140.00 when I finished my meal! I had been recommended to muffler man by another repair place that my family has gone to and they did a good job on what I needed done so I figured why not go back right? Well I go back cause i wasn't sure what was wrong with my car and they look at it and tell me its my catalytic converter, so the guy tells me it's going to be $700 plus more if a bolt breaks while repairing it. Thank goodness I'm stubborn because I took it to tuffys on 15 and groesbeck and they looked over everything and told me that it was fine and I didn't need a catalytic converter and had taken it to another shop just to be on the safe side and they said the same exact thing tuffys did. I'm definitely not going back here if all they are going to do is try and scam me which is clearly what they were trying to do. read more

My resonator came off of the exshaust pipe, while i was driving to work . I called the Auto part store for a replacement part 50 dollars and two days wait . Then i have to put it on. I thought let me see how much it would be i went to my neighborhood muffle man to get a quick estimate. The guys told me it would take 5 minutes and 60 dollars. I could not believe it. Only ten dollars more that the replacement part and I did not have to wait two days or get dirty rolling around under my car. I said fix it please. they were nice respectful and fast in five minutes i was on my way. I was not even late for work. I love Muffle man. They rock. Sometimes we have the best little shops right there down the street you drive everyday. read more
