I'm a tourist in Ottawa and my colleague Jayne A. took me to Mug Shot Coffee. Just walking in, I got a feeling of coziness, definitely a place to hang-out, work or simply need a picker-upper. We were greeted by Abby, Emma, and Savannah; told them I was from CA, and offered to make me any drink that was not even on their menu. Of course, I went for their popular items, got a Spirit of the Braves and The Librarian, and you can definitely tell the difference how amazing the coffee is from a Local Coffee Shop! Stopped in while I was in Ottawa visiting family. It wasn't my first time but it had been a couple of years. I got the librarian latte iced & it was delicious. My sister and I also got one of each flavor of macaron to share and they were great. The birthday cake was our favorite but we loved all three. The service was good. Friendly, but not overly so. The shop is super cute as well. I love that they make some of their own syrups now too! read more

Great atmosphere with amazing staff! Prices are totally fair. This is also a great venue to rent after hours. You have to spend a certain amount on drinks/food to rent it, but it's not hard to do with a group of 8. Staff has always been friendly and this place is always clean with a comfortable atmosphere. read more

I LOVE THIS COFFEE SHOP! I'm not even a coffee shop type, but this place really appeals to me. Also, I hate coffee but drink for the effect. I have had coffee at some of the "best" in big cities like NYC, LA, San Fran, Dallas, and Austin....and mug shots coffee is WAY better! I make the drive about 25 mins away to come study here and drink their delicious brews. My only wish is that they were open later. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I had the macadamia nut cookie latte...YUM. A coffee joint in my small rural home town was a surprise to find. Nice place right on Main Street. I ordered a mocha and it was unfortunately not that great tasting. The drink was luke warm with a pasty chocie taste to it. This coupled with two staff members that either were not awake yet as it was about 6 am or haven't learned that the most important thing in a customer service business is to make the customer feel welcome. Fun coffee shop!! I met someone here for business at about 9 on a Tuesday and this place was PACKED!! I was really surprised at how full it was for a tiny town. Such a cool atmosphere, it felt like a coffee shop in a big town with all of the neat art and such on the wall. Great coffee, nice breakfast selection and a good place to sit and chat. They have some good live music and the coffee is good but there are some servers that can't make that great of coffee as well of late.
