This space used to be another Mexican restaurant that I never tried. I saw the reviews here and…read moredecided to give it a try as I was in the area. I knew this would be authentic food when I saw they have a menu in English and one in Spanish. Mexican decor is on tap, along with Mexican music. All the customers except me was also Hispanic. There is also a slight language barrier but service was still good. The chips and salsa was good but different. The salsa is definitely homemade. I enjoyed it and hated I got so little of it. Ordered the shrimp chimichanga. Came with a salad, rice and beans. I liked the rice. It was flavorful without being salty. The salad was nothing more than iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Given the state of lettuce right now, I wasn't going to fool with the salad. I don't eat refried beans so I can't review them. But that shrimp chimichanga....I feel like it needs a review all by itself! The shrimp were chopped a little, which I found myself liking more than having whole ones in there, and seasoned and grilled to the heavens! Whew!!!! That had to be the best chimichanga I've ever had! This was so good and I can't stop thinking about it. I brought the leftovers home and plan to heat it up in the air fryer. I know it will still be good!

All we ordered was a happy plate and a pork plate. The chips and salsa were really good but other than that I can't recommend this place.

Juarez Tacos doesn't look like much from the outside, (it's in an old Chinese restaurant…read morestorefront) but once you step in, the food tells you everything you need to know. The smell of grilled meat and warm tortillas hits before you even sit down, and it sets the stage perfectly. I started with tacos, of course. The tortillas were the kind you can tell are made fresh: soft, warm, and sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. I went for al pastor and birria, and both came out packed with flavor. The pastor had that perfect balance of char and spice, while the birria was rich and comforting, dripping just enough to make you lean in over the plate. The real surprise was how much attention went into the small details. The salsas had actual heat, not just color, and they didn't drown out the flavor of the meat. The pineapple agua fresca I ordered on the side was bright and refreshing, a perfect balance to the heaviness of the tacos. Service felt easy and genuine. Nobody was rushing me, nobody was going through the motions, it just had that friendly, neighborhood vibe where you feel like they're glad you stopped in. By the time I finished, I realized Juarez isn't trying to be flashy or reinvent the wheel. They're just serving honest, flavorful food that feels like it belongs exactly where it is. It's the kind of place you think about the next day, when you're already planning what you'll order on your next visit.

Quick service! Met sister-in-law on a Saturday one-day up and back trip (3 hrs each way) JUST to…read moreeat at this restaurant! All of my in-laws and my husband have eaten here and told me how wonderful it is - my turn! Small, unpretentious restaurant with a lot more seating than you would think from the outside appearance. Immediate lunch seating and prompt, large basket of chips with a mason jar of salsa and 3 small cups. The chips are good, but watch that salsa - it's got a kick! Husband and sister-in-law ordered the Tacos Nortenos with chicken; they had had these before and were fans. I'm not a big taco eater, but I took a bite of one and would definitely eat these. I went with sister-in-law's recommendation of the Monterey Enchiladas, and I would have licked the plate when I was done if I wasn't afraid of being caught...that cheese sauce is to die for! I want it on everything! Our drinks were refilled without asking, and there was no need for a takeout box. :) I had to stare at the bill for a minute before adding the tip - $41 for 3 people to eat lunch, with drinks & tax. It was SO worth the drive.

Men's bathroom didn't have any paper towels. Server was nice at first but didn't come back to the table. Rough around the edges but for the price, probably would opt for another spot given how much this place didn't check the boxes for us. Wanted to like it, but sadly likely won't be back.
