I recently became aware that my personal information was used without my authorization to file fraudulent tax documents for 2024, and those documents listed Shih Tzu & Furbaby Rescue as my employer. To be clear, I am not accusing anyone within the rescue of committing identity theft or tax fraud. I am simply stating that the organization's name appeared in fraudulent paperwork connected to my identity. After discovering this, I made several attempts to contact the rescue to notify them that their organization had been implicated in a serious identity theft and tax fraud issue. I also requested a simple letter confirming that I was never employed by them. In my view, this should have been a straightforward request, especially given the seriousness of the situation. Despite my calls, voicemails, and written outreach, I did not receive a response until after I posted my initial Yelp review, which I removed shortly after being asked to do so. Only then did I receive a phone call from someone who appeared to be connected with the rescue. During that call, I was told I would receive a letter confirming that I had never worked there. More than a week passed, and I still haven't receive the email. While I believe I have gathered enough evidence to show that I'm a victim of identity theft and tax fraud, I was hoping this organization would provide basic confirmation that could aid me in resolving the matter with the appropriate agencies. What disappointed me most is that I took the time to inform the rescue that their organization's name was used in fraudulent filings, giving them an opportunity to address the issue on their end. However, I don't feel that same sense of urgency or courtesy was extended to me. I understand that this is a volunteer organization, but in my opinion, being volunteer run doesn't excuse poor communication when someone is reaching out about identity theft, tax fraud, and the misuse of business information. In my opinion, I find the communication, responsiveness, and support from this organization to be bottom of the barrel poor. This situation left me with serious concerns about how the rescue handles urgent matters, public communication, and requests for assistance. This was a deeply disappointing experience and an example of how not to handle a serious issue involving someone's identity and livelihood.

    Five Stars - The Very Best Care for My Little Maltese, Alto Cinco!…read more I can't say enough wonderful things about Animal Medical Clinic in St. Marys, GA. The entire team is truly compassionate, gentle, and professional -- they treat my little Maltese, Alto Cinco, like he's one of their own. Alto can be a bit nervous at the vet, but everyone there takes such patient and loving care with him. They speak softly, move slowly, and always make sure he feels safe. I can tell they genuinely love animals -- not just in words, but in how they handle each visit with kindness and respect. From the front desk to the veterinarian Dr. Dutta and techs, the service is excellent every time. They explain everything clearly, never rush, and always follow up to make sure Alto is doing well. That level of care means the world to me. Thank you, Animal Medical Clinic, for treating my little guy with such warmth and heart. I was trying to get him to the emergency vet in Yulee but I knew I wasn't going to make it in time. AMC was the closest vet to me, but by the time I got there he had already passed. AMC went above and beyond for us in our time of grief. I am beyond thankful for making this awful experience easier. They even gave me a call a few days later just to see how we were doing which meant so much to us. I would absolutely recommend this vet clinic to anyone who is looking. The staff is beyond amazing and friendly. You can tell they all love and care for animals which really sets them apart.

    My husband left a review of our experience and I feel the need to leave one of my own as it only…read moregot worse after the posting of that review. As my husband's review stated, we canceled an upcoming reservation mostly based on the fact that we felt uncomfortable leaving our dog there. Our dog has been to four other facilities in Atlanta with no issues or problems. We move down here and all of a sudden our dog has issues that "professionals" can't handle without our help. Understood. We were verbally instructed to provide PRESCRIBED calming chews for our dog's anxiety when he is put in the kennel. Got it. I asked if OTC calming chews can be tried first & if they will suffice for the first weekend as it would take some time to get the prescribed calming chews and our dog doesn't usually need these. They agreed to try the OTC chews & I was told to label the bags (that includes his food). Now... before having unpacked our dog's bag and knowing what we know now... they told my husband upon pick up that they recommend our dog going there for one hour a day for a few days to ease his anxiety because he had a hard time at night and that he can come for daycare (without the calming treats). I agreed... great idea! So I call them myself so I can make a reservation to do so the next day. What do I get told? That he cannot come back without the PRESCRIBED calming chews. At this point we just said forget it, we'll cancel our dog going there at all because we're bothered about them telling us two different things. I call to cancel, a man answered and asked the reason -which I shared- & he responded with 'I will let my manager know so all that needs to be done to process your refund will be done.' Now, after coming back home and unpacking the bag we sent our dog to this place with, we see two bags of food left over & both bags of calming treats full and untouched. Naturally, we're upset by this. Why? 1. There was zero communication upon pick up of whether our dog finished all the food or not. 2. We were told that the calming treats did not work AT ALL. I didn't receive an email confirmation that my reservation was canceled so I wanted to be SURE that it was being processed. That being said, I tried to call twice. No answer. My husband calls, leaves a voicemail because of course it was after business hours so no one answered. At this point, my husband is fuming. He decided to write his Google review as he is well within his rights to do so. What do you know... after 30 minutes of the review being posted we get a call back. My husband asks clarifying questions about what we're upset about: the extra food & the calming chews. What were we met with? Rudeness. Now, this is where I won't leave this be because I'm baffled at how the owner (male) spoke to us. I'm glad there is footage of them attempting to feed our dog... wonderful. Reason 1, debunked. Reason 2?! The calming treats?! The man said he didn't try to give them any other time because it was not on the profile - that's an item they should've updated on their end since it was THEIR ask for us to provide them. Instead, the dude complained about our dog keeping him up for 8 hours... which they charged us a surprise fee for him having to "calm" our dog down after said 8 hours :| when there were treats provided for that very reason that they asked for............ This man said that clearly I'm only upset for not getting my way... I'm absolutely unsure what my way is that I didn't get(?) but go off lol. He also said "why doesn't your dog just go to one of four facilities then"... whew. When I said I can appreciate him defending himself and that's no longer a concern, that I would just like to confirm the cancellation of the reservation and the refund is being processed - the OWNER of this place said to me that he won't tell us that information until we delete our Google review. LOL! Trying to bully my husband and/or me into deleting a review of our experience is crazy work. 10/10 don't recommend... don't be fooled by how cute their facility is. Such a shame.
