This is not a revolving door business which I appreciate. The dental hygienist does a amazing job at cleaning your teeth and giving tips. The dental assistant is great as well, she always ask what issues or concerns you may have before starting any procedures and, tells the dentist for his own knowledge. I was scared to have my teeth worked on due to sensitivity plus, prior experiences at other dentist offices. The dentist here made sure I was fully numb and, while he is working he lets you know exactly what he is doing. He's really good and pretty quick at getting your teeth or tooth taken care of. So I went to Dr. Bluestone in the mall, what can I say I was a kid. He was sure I had two cavities. I got my teeth cleaned and had him fill one tooth. Never went back for the 2nd filling. When I saw my regular dentist I asked if I had any cavities. He looked all around & nope, not a single cavity to be found. I am surprised this guy is still around.

I was nervous as heck because I admittedly hadn't been to the dentist in some time... She was so kind and patient during my initial meeting. Answered all of my questions with no judgement. I greatly appreciated it. Especially because I was all nerves. Then I had a bunch of appointments with Dr. Horan. He was awesome! He made sure I had zero pain and was comfortable during the process! Dr. Horan and Sindy (who assisted him) calmed my nerves, and were very caring. I have also had my teeth cleaned by Trish and Sharon with a consultation with Dr. Sonntag. All were great and very informative on how to care for my teeth. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon Grove Dental!

Office staff verified (twice) at that 1st visit that they would accept Aetna's proposal of $1,602. Ten days later I return for another fitting Now they tell me they are NOT sure I have Zero co-pay for the dentures they have listed at $4,800. I leave asking them to clarify all this. NOW, they receive confirmation from Aetna, my agent and I do a conference call, the person At Grove Dental again confirms I am and will not be liable for any Co-pay PRESENT DAY JULY 27th 9:30am I arrive for my designated appt, again the office manager tells me they have not received the confirmation from Aetna, THIS is now the 5th incident where Grove Dental has no ides what they are doing when it comes to patient rapport. HOW, many times must I or any patient put up with such incompetence where the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing, do they not talk to each other at Grove Dental does one tech do something and not tell the others, does one office administrator do something and not write it down or tell any of the others working in the office? TODAY, the office manager wanted me to have a seat so she could go over my records, why, are yo hoping for a different result than what you already have after 5 times of quoting me and Aetna a price for your services. This experience was unfair and I want to share it…read more On Tuesday, I had a dental appointment at 12:00 PM. The day before, my daughter had just returned from an international trip, and we were staying with family in Delaware. Even though she was exhausted from traveling, I drove back that morning so I wouldn't miss my appointment. Before I arrived, the office called to let me know there was maintenance being done in their building that they were not aware of, and asked if I could come later. The receptionist who called me was extremely kind and professional. Later, she called again to apologize because the power had gone out and they had to cancel my appointment. I completely understood that it was out of their control. She rescheduled me for Thursday at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, on Thursday morning, the power went out in my bedroom because of my air conditioner, which caused my alarm to shut off. At 10:07 AM, I received a call asking if I was on my way. I called back at 10:12 and explained what had happened. I told them I live only a few blocks away and could be there in about 7 minutes. The receptionist told me that if I wasn't there within 5 minutes, I would not be seen. I said I understood and asked if I could simply reschedule. She then told me, in a very rude and dismissive tone, that I would have to pay a $50 no-show fee before they would schedule another appointment. I explained that just two days earlier I had been completely understanding when the office had to cancel my appointment because of the power outage, and I hoped they could show me the same understanding over being only about 17 minutes late due to an unexpected power outage at my home. Her response was simply, "Our power went out." I replied, "Mine did too." I also expressed that I felt it was very unfair to be charged the fee under these circumstances and that, given how the situation was being handled, I would not be returning to the office. Unfortunately, there was no empathy or willingness to work with me. I want to be clear that Dr. Barb and every hygienist my daughter and I have seen have always been wonderful, caring, and highly professional. This review is not about them. It is about how this particular situation was handled by the receptionist I spoke with on Thursday. My daughter and I have always respected this office and have never missed an appointment. In fact, there was even a time when we were both sick, and instead of canceling at the last minute, I called ahead to let the office know so they could take extra precautions to protect everyone. We still kept our appointment because we value their time. I understand that offices have policies, but I believe policies should also allow room for reasonable circumstances and the same understanding that patients are expected to show the office. After everything that happened earlier that week, I was disappointed by the lack of compassion and flexibility.

He had recently spoken to Connie about this issue and I was under the impression that everything was squared away, but since he has a new insurance through his employer, we wanted them to check in about an updated cost for the procedure. The receptionist here was horrible. She was condescending and snarky throughout the duration of my call. She assumed that I knew nothing about how insurance works (that the provider has to contact the insurance company for an estimated cost) and talked down to me throughout the phone call. She insinuated that I was wasting her time and as a new mother, I don't have time to be treated in this manner. I will be finding a new dentist for him today. We only had planned on him staying with northeast because they were the ones that had done the procedure in the first place. I am sure Connie does wonderful work and is civil, however the receptionist literally drove us away. Never have I been so offended about what should have been a simple business call. Don't go here if you expect to be treated in a civil manner.
