She gunned her car backwards up my driveway-- with the hatchdoor open. Yep. The open hatch caught on my open garage door and ripped it off the track. (Her car didn't fare much better.) Enter George from Sevan Locks & Doors. George answers his phone! We made an appt to have the door fixed the next day. Boris came out and fixed it! Reasonable fee and excellent work. Thank you George & Boris. I found Sevan locks & doors on the BBB website. They were the only company in this area to have an A+ rating with no complaints. They are also a member of BBB which was even more reassuring. I wish there was a BBB for FreeCycle customers...

Backstory: we recently added a digital lock on our side door. That lock was difficult to rekey, so…read morewe rekeyed out front door to match. So, we needed new house keys. The Universe has a perverse sense of humor and our problems started. I had a "vanity" key pattern I really liked. I found something close. Got it cut at Lowes. It worked in the new side door lock but not the front door. Then we discovered that one of the keys that came with the new lock also didn't work in the front door. I ordered a keyblank like the one I prefer. We tried a (different) locksmith in Everett. He cut the key, it didn't work, he declared the blank "junk" and said "throw it away. He cut me an aluminum key; half of the teeth were missing. We also had a lot of communication problems. We tried another Everett locksmith who claimed they had a blank like I wanted in stock. They didn't. I was frustrated. Today we tried Everett Lock and Safe. They: recut and filed the two almost-working keys to work in the front door AND cut me two working keys with the blanks I like. Extra points for no communication issues. If we need a locksmith or to have another key cut, this is where we will go! 10 stars!

I called Mr. Kim two days ago needing a rekey for a new home with Schlage keyless entry locks. From…read morethe start, he was incredibly flexible with scheduling and gave me several options to fit my availability. He came out today and was still patient and accommodating even though I was running late from work. Mr. Kim is not only friendly and professional, but clearly experienced, he was in and out in about 15 minutes, all while keeping a light, casual conversation going. Honestly, he could probably do this in his sleep! What really stood out, though, was how affordable his service was. Unlike other locksmiths who either quote ridiculously high prices or don't bother responding at all, Mr. Kim offered great value and excellent service.
