Do not use this business for anything other than simple (house, mail, locks, etc.) key duplication…read more They advertise that they can duplicate car key and fobs but this is very misleading. I came in on August 1st to add a Subaru remote head key (key with built-in fob in the head). They did not have them in stock and had to order one. I paid $300 for the keyfob and for the programming of the keyfob. They took my name and number and said the key would arrive in about 3-5 business days and they would contact me when it came in. I had received no communication and came in on August 16th. After not being able to find it for about 30 minutes, they finally found it. I spent about 2 hours there while they tried different tools to get it to work. Finally after it was entered the technician said that the other key I had brought in now had its fob disabled and they had to re-enter it. This was the first time they had mentioned anything about the process disabling my other keys. I told them that I still had another key at home and asked it that one was now disabled. They said yes. So, after waiting over two weeks with no communication I now had one key that wouldn't work at all at home, one key that would turn the ignition on but the fob wouldn't work to unlock the doors, trunk, etc., and one key (the new one) that actually worked. They said to come back next week with all three keys and they could easily program them all. I came back today with all three. The technician was not able to program the fobs to work; he was only able to get the third key so that it could start the car. He said I had to go to the Subaru dealership to get codes for the other two keys and come back, for a fourth time. As of now, I have one key and fob that works and two (the original two) that only work to start the car, their fobs do not work. I asked for a refund since they clearly cannot perform the work requested and they refused. I am not entirely confident on what the problem is; either the employees working are not trained or are lacking the experience to perform the work, or the business is advertising a service they can only partially complete. Either way, stay away from here.
