Mula has been one of my favorite street taco, marg, and guac spots for years. Recently, I feel as though their prices have been raised which is sad for the amount that you receive. Normally I'd get the birria tacos which is just tacos. No sides come with that. All street tacos are sold individually. I am not saying the food isn't good, but I believe it is overpriced. Going now to Clase Codigo where their prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive to actually fill you up and more. I feel this restaurant is successful because of the location. It is in Blackstone which is a high traffic area. If it wasn't in Blackstone I don't think it would be popular. Service is always fast and the servers seem nice! I feel like they are always so busy. Anything from a basic fish taco to vegan tacos on the menu and everything is a la carte so you can mix and match to your heart's desire. Immaculate vibes in the heart of Blackstone, it looks, feels, and sounds exactly like a place you'd expect to find in the trendy neighborhood. Came here on a very busy Saturday night and were still able to get seated without a reservation (though I highly recommend making one ahead of time). This was probably our third visit, and we absolutely love this place. Easily one of our favorite restaurants in Omaha. They had their holiday pop-up theme, Christmas in Cancun, and I loved how the entire place was decorated. It was so festive and fun. Our server was also very kind and attentive, even with how busy it was. I started the night with a drink from their holiday menu, the Passion in Paradise strong but delicious. My husband and I shared the chips & queso, and we always add chorizo because it takes it to the next level. I ordered the Bean and Cheese Rolled Tacos, and they were THE BEST. It was my first time trying them, and I'll definitely be ordering them again. The crema on top was my favorite part, and they were perfectly crispy. I've been in once before during the summer, and absolutely love the open window vibe of this place. This time I came in the winter on a weeknight, and they were still absolutely packed, and turning away anyone who didn't have a reservation! Me and my friends had a great meal here, starting with the dip flight, which featured three very authentic dips. This also was our favorite, guacamole was good, but could've used more seasoning in my opinion, and the case was great as well, but we would have preferred it without the hot sauce/Sour cream toppings on top. I'm not a huge Mexican food person in general, so the style of these thick/fried chips was not my favorite, but I still enjoyed the appetizers. For my meal, my favorite part was the esquitas corn! Three of the four of us got this, and it was a favor for the table. I wasn't too hungry after the dips, so just got a side of shrimp, which had an amazing fried flavor to it, and a Carne Asada taco, which I dipped in my friends birria sauce, which added so much to the flavor. I decided to come back to Mula for my birthday and was yet again not disappointed. The restaurant was packed for a Thursday night, so definitely recommend a reservation for a guaranteed table. The server was attentive and very friendly despite the circumstances. Due to the amount t of people, it was pretty loud especially being close to the front/bar, but we still were able to talk and enjoy ourselves. We decided to try a dip flight which was just ok for me. The bandera salsa was incredible and my favorite of all of the dips. The chips were a thicker corn chip which was good, but I'm definitely more of a thinner corn chip gal. The guac was good, and then the queso was just ok for me. I felt as though the toppings overpowered the queso in itself. I think next time I will just get the salsa to share. The strawberry mint limonada was not overly sweet and super refreshing when paired alongside the rest of the meal. Definitely going to be my go to drink in the future. The tacos were delicious as always and super flavorful! I'd have to say my favorite I think was the barbacoa. It was just so rich with flavor, but honestly any of these tacos you couldn't go wrong with. The stand out of the meal was actually the esquites. Good tequila and happy hour here equals pure bliss. I love Clase Azul Reposado but never order it because how expensive it is. During their happy hour, which I believe runs Monday through Friday 4 to 6, they have 50% off 300 tequilas. The Clase is traditionally $24 for 1oz or $42, making them just $12 and $24. They also have margaritas and Palomas for $8. I have never had their cheese dip before and I ordered a second bowl; it was so good. It's a thicker, real tasting cheese with a slight kick from a red sauce on top. It also comes with an ample amount of chips that we snacked on throughout the dinner. Our server was great too. I have frequented this restaurant many times I just went there tonight and had to wait over an hour which I didn't mind because I was excited to eat there and expected to wait. First we noticed the prices were raised, which was understandable in the economy but when we ordered the food came out within five minutes and the food tasted old, dry and borderline thought we were going to be sick. Visited Mula tonight for an 1800 reservation. The place was packed for a Wed night. Reservations recommended. Beer list is mostly Mexican beer which was saved by having Fairy Nector. (C) Margarita was tasty and well done but very small (10 oz or so). Definitely not the gargantuan margaritas seen elsewhere. (B-) Chips and salsa were good, but not free. They have a variety of salsas ranging in taste and flavor. All of the ones we tried were good, but pricey. The chips were OK. I prefer light and thin chips. These are thick. But, they definitely were not chips out of a bag. (A-) Their main schtick are street tacos. They have a wide variety of options including different levels of spiciness. Beef, chicken, chorizo, and fish options along with vegan options. They are very small tacos, even for street tacos. And, the tortillas, while tasty, did not serve well to hold the tacos together. Everyone's tacos were disintegrating after a bite or two. But, they were quite flavorful. Overall, we prefer Voodoo Taco tacos over these by a large margin for taste, size, and tortilla quality. The nachos were very well done. I got the chorizo nachos and the chorizo was some of the best I've had. It wasn't greasy, but it was still spicy and tasty with lots of chorizo. The portion looked small, but it was more than I could eat. (B) Service was timely and nice. As I mentioned, they were busy. But, the food came quickly. Orders were accurate. (A) Ambiance was trendy and clean. It was very loud in the restaurant requiring us to talk pretty loudly for our table of four to hear each other. (B) Price was closer to Washington DC prices ($$$$). For 3 tacos, 1 nachos, 2 cokes, 1 beer, and chips with 3 salsas, the price was $57 before tip. (D) Parking is a nightmare, as it is for most restaurants in this area. Mula is such a fun restaurant! They have a great happy hour that we got margaritas and then had tacos. I got the carnitas and tequila lime chicken and they were both amazing. Our servers were very nice and the food came out quickly. For gluten free, they can make almost all their tacos gluten free with the change of tortillas. Their tortilla chips are gluten free but there is cross contamination as they are in a shared fryer so there's risk of cross contamination. The chips are fried first thing in the morning so there's less risk of cross contamination. There is street parking and nearby parking lots so it does take a little time to find parking. If you are going on a Friday or Saturday night I recommend making a reservation. read more

I've been meaning to come here for years and I am so glad I finally managed to get in! My friends and I split the dip flight -guac, salsa, and queso- and I loved the tastes of each dip! They each had a great texture and were the perfect appetizer. I had a Strawberry Mint Lemonada and it was refreshing and light. I ordered the birria tacos and a croquette taco. The birria melted in my mouth, and the flavors of all the toppings complemented each other absolutely perfectly. I will be back specifically for more of those tacos. The Croquette was really good as well if you are looking for a vegetarian option. The toppings add spice and creaminess and I enjoyed it very much. A group of five of us stopped by Mula for dinner on the Friday evening before they held their Cinco de Mayo party. We arrived about half an hour before they closed and were very lucky to be seated. They were able to get us a table quickly despite it being still pretty busy as well! Our waiter was very pleasant and checked on us often and let us know our last few minutes to be able to order any food or drinks as well. I got a mango margarita and a candy shot - both of which were on the specials menu. Both were great! The mango marg was a little light on the mango flavor, but it was still very tasty and easily drinkable. The candy shot was delicious with a Tajin rim! It's a good thing that was only a shot as I could've drank a full glass of that. We got a table of the dip flight for the table which was definitely plenty for our group! It seemed like this got lost in the kitchen, however, since it came out after our meals had come out. Regardless, it was delicious and I would very much get it again! The queso and guacamole were my absolute favorite. For my meal I got three tacos: two croquette and a raja, both vegetarian. I much preferred the croquettes, so very glad I got two of them!
