This was our first time here on a Friday night. We were looking for something close to our house and were pleasantly surprised to find authentic Mexican food. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted promptly and seated right away. It only took a few minutes for chips and salsa to be brought out, followed by our waiter taking our drink orders. I ordered a Paloma to drink, and I'd give it an 8/10. For food, I got the quesabirria tacos--very tasty--and the rice was so good! Overall, the experience was great. I'm updating this review and removing a star for food quality. I tried a fajita dish tonight and it was just terrible. The chicken was dry and flavorless, the steak was tough and not well-seasoned, and the shrimp had a good texture but were also quite bland. I was honestly shocked because I've had other things here that were very good. But these were the worst fajitas I've ever had. When I told the server they weren't very good she just said ok and left. No offer to do anything about it. Kind of odd. Their chips and salsa are still very solid and their queso with chorizo slaps. I'll just have to go back to my typical order, the ACP. read more

Since it's taco Tuesday we hit up Casa Jalisco for dinner. As always the food was delicious. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa which is always a nice treat! Our waitress, Lauren was great! She was attentive and very polite. She cleared the table off quickly as well. Went early so it wasn't too busy at first. The ambiance is like a casual bar and grill but there is a hostess to seat you. I didn't think the dining room was crowded unlike some other Yelpers. It is a nice comfortable space with brand new and clean tables, chairs, and booths. Service was good with friendly staff. The menu has all the Tex-Mex classics you would expect, but nothing to make the restaurant stand out. Prices are reasonable for late 2025. Chips and salsa are pretty standard and complimentary. Food was good. I ordered the carnitas dinner plate and really enjoyed it. Portions are good. Enough that I needed a box to take home. Overall a very solid, but not standout, neighborhood Mexican restaurant. We'll be back. Update - leftovers were delicious, 4.5 stars. read more

Love Mexican food and this place was really good. Golden margarita was yummy. We had the mixed fajitas and the steak was amazing, well seasoned. Place was nice with lots of color and decorations. Wow! What a gem of Mexican restaurant found in northwest Omaha! We have actually been here twice in the last month already because it's just THAT good. High quality flavor and ingredients paired, with reasonable prices , equals a new go to spot for our family. Casa Jalisco offers the traditional Mexican dishes we all love, as well as some unique options (one which we tried and highly recommend)! We tried the Pina Rellena (stuffed pineapple with fajita meat/veggies) which comes with a side of rice, cold toppings and taco shells. This is enough for two people with how much it serves. Everything was fresh, tender and extremely flavorful! Both types of guacamole you can't go wrong with. Traditional is more the sauce-like, whereas their other one is more of a ceviche type with thick cut pieces and tomatoes. Definitely flavor and textures, but both are some of the best in town! The staff is always very friendly, and efficient when we've been there for both dine in and take out. If you haven't tried Casa Jalisco yet, make your way there for your next meal!! read more

We were seated right away and as most traditional Mexican Resturants we received chips n salsa. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Getting around most of the place in a wheelchair would be difficult due to closeness of the tables but we were sat at an open table closer to the door so it wasn't a problem. Our order was a kid's chicken quesadilla (not pictured) that was served with beans and rice, a chicken chimichanga served with rice n beans, bandera Mexicana served with rice n beans, quesaBirria tacos served with rice and then to go we ordered a chicken quesadilla that came with rice n beans along with chips n salsa. Wow this place is poppin! We live right across from This plaza and have been eagerly awaiting its opening. Last night a group of four went around 7:30 and there was a large amount of people waiting in the entry. We put in our names and we're told it would be about a 30 minute wait we sat in our car while we decided what to do after a few minutes we decided we'll just wait when we came back in about 15 minutes later we were able to get seated. This place is about a quarter of the size of the average La Mesa making it very small but very busy we started with chips, salsa and queso. It is a white queso. It was OK not super flavorful but definitely a cheese dip. I ordered the steak fajitas with extra vegetables and it was ample for only two dollars more you can get double the vegetables all in all the steak was really good. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the corn tortillas tasted fresh. I can see this being a very popular Mexican spot in the area of town that it was desperately needed. They have a full bar and plenty of booths, but it is tiny and there can be waits. Probably best to call ahead. The service was OK, but I'm sure they're still getting used to high volume evenings and the place was clean. I'm excited they're in the neighborhood and we will be back. read more

Food was OK, nothing special. Jelesco fajitas were mostly onions and bell peppers. Very little meat. Drinks were good, but again a margarita is a margarita. Biggest issue was the male server. He was rude and condescending when I asked questions and only showed up as a pleasant person. I do not believe will dine there again nor give them any more of our hard earned dollars when there are so many wonderful Mexican restaurants in town with staff that actually care about. My advice. My husband had a late lunch at Cafe Jalisco...in our neighborhood. Service was friendly, decor very cool especially the mural painted on the wall. The chips and salsa we were given right away were good. Huge menu ut took us awhile to decide what to order. The food was outstanding. I had a chicken quesadilla--very favorable and huge. Went to casa Jalisco for the first time to start they gav free chips with amazing salsa I ordered the chimichanga and it was amazin. it is also very kid friendly with items such as burgers Mac and cheese pizza and kid tacos. The waiters are very kind and always checking on the tables. The overall atmosphere is just beautifu. read more

I always judge a Mexican eatery by their ChileRelleno or in their case Chile Pablano. They did not disappoint. Two big peppers stuffed with cheese and a not too heavy egg wash. Husband had the California Burrito with chicken. Both servings big enough to take 1/2 home for lunch next day. Margarita ( house) not overly sweet. Service fast and very affordable. I stopped here for lunch today with a friend. A server immediately approached our table with a huge basket of fresh chips and some salsa. There was a large lunch menu. I had the steak fajitas with beans and rice. The food was served hot and tasted great. The serving size was very generous, and the price was right. My friend also enjoyed her meal. Officially my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We have eaten in and gotten carryout. Both times the food was equally delicious! We've ordered fajitas, a few different kinds of burritos and the queso. Everything was so good! The actual restaurant is pretty small and super noisy. So, it wouldn't be a great place to eat if you wanted to talk to the people at the table with you. Love that it is a family run business and the service has always been quick and friendly. read more
