I spent TWO hours on my first visit learning, trying different methods of treatment, and talking through my issues. During my visit I received a thorough exam where Schuler checked off boxes and rated how I performed for each step. I laid on a rolling/heated massage bed and received stem therapy on my neck (he even asked if I wanted to stay on it a little longer). I performed some stretches on a medicine ball. Then, I laid on bed and received stem therapy on my back with heating pads. With a handheld machine Schuler massaged my back before my adjustment, which he used an instrument for instead of manipulating with cracking my back. Schuler is old school and he goes by the book - literally pulled out a textbook and showed me the exact steps it says to take for an exam and he did all of them. If you are too busy and just want someone high tech with no personality don't come here. If you want someone who cares about you and the practice deeply, who is willing to educate you, and who lets you decide your care then come here.

He has no previous injuries but does have a very physical job and needed to be adjusted. After making an appt at Sheely chiropractic, I was hopeful that he would find his new chiropractor moving forward. He was told he needed to arrive at 10:30 for an 11:30am appt. While we both were surprised that he needed to be there an hour early, he did as instructed. He came home a little after 12pm, so I was thinking that he had had a good adjustment and talk with the Dr and set up a future appt. He was so frustrated and annoyed when he came home. He said that the whole appt was a waste of time. The Dr made him fill out all this personal information (which of course some of it he understood), but why do you need to know the personal details about his parents?!?! Also, after he filled that out he sat him down and said how he was all about helping people with their wellness needs and that he has a great business there and then he started going over these packages and asked him to pay over $300 that day for his appt. My husband was so irritated. He just wanted an adjustment. How about you do your job first and show that you are a competent Chiro in order to win over the client? Asking a new client to pay you $300+ for a session that you haven't even performed yet and he won't even know if you can help him? My husband said he wasn't going to pay anything for his time being wasted. The Dr then tried to lower the price to keep his interest - seriously, if you want to charge what you charge then own it - no one is asking you to lower your prices, but don't expect people to want to pay that if they haven't had your services yet. Needless to say he won't be going back and he wasn't able to get an adjustment that day. It is proving difficult to find any good chiros or bodywork here in Ohio. The search continues and I hope this review saves other people their time. At least call and make sure you won't be pressured into being good money before you receive an adjustment and ask a lot of questions before going in for an appt.

He was dishonest about how much the sessions cost (quoted one rate and charged MUCH higher). He lied repeatedly (e.g., told my husband that I had requested a second full package, which was blatantly false). He failed to tell me that a service he rendered was double the cost until he had performed it three times. Check out his review on the Better Business Bureau site; at least one other person had the exact experience that I did. Anyone going to him should proceed with extreme caution and be sure that all costs and services rendered are communicated ahead of time. Do not consent to any treatment without asking how much it costs. He will not voluntarily give you this information. He has legal cover because of a signed consent form, but a patient should be able to trust that charges will not change and that services rendered will not be upcharged. He did give me a partial refund, but it was for a service that I did not agree to that he dishonestly said that I did.

He truly believes that God's design for your body is more natural in state. He is not a doctor who is going to prescribe a medication, unless it is severely needed. He takes a natural perspective to health and aims to get each patient's body back to the way God designed it. With that said, I feel like Dr. Pittman's has helped me, as I was on prescriptions for over 15 years. Unfortunately in the long run, those prescriptions did worse than what I expected and only put a Band-Aid over the real problem. Dr. Pittman's tries to get at the root of the problem. Know that health is a process and results do not happen overnight--many appointments are needed in order to heal. PROS: I love that Dr. Pittman's takes time to really get to know his patients. He has prayed over me for healing and truly seeks to get at the heart of the problem. I like that I am not putting any harmful prescriptions into my body, as those side effects can be detrimental. CONS: because he is so loved, it is very difficult to get an appointment with him! Make sure that you book in advance and get on the waitlist, in case a cancellation occurs. Since it is more of a natural remedy to curing ailments, normal insurances are not accepted there. You will pay everything out of pocket (unless you have Medicare)-- and it quickly adds up! Know that this is an investment for your Health, but it will be expensive, as he does not focus on a 'quick fix'. Grateful for Dr. Pittman's gifts and his very friendly staff!
