So you have 9 places to buy Central Sod grass at and it is worth finding them ... check out their website for directions to the one closest to you. I dropped in at the Frankfort, Illinois store today and was very pleased. This company location is pretty much just a little frame building with a single employee who takes your order, accepts payment and points you in the right direction. This is totally a self-serve kind of place, and that suits most D-I-Y'ers just fine. You enter the building, tell them what you need (remember to order a day ahead if you want a lot), pay for it and then go outside and put it in your vehicle. Easy as pie. Keep in mind that a strip of sod (sold in 2' by 5' rolls) is heavy (maybe 40 pounds each) and messy (plan on getting dirty). Central Sod cuts their material each day so what you get is fresh and healthy ... not like a Home Depot or Lowe's outlet where that really isn't their primary business. You want good sod, go to a sod farm and Central Sod is a good one. The price is right too ... 40 cents a square foot or $4 per roll. I picked up 13 rolls for roughly $50 ... it weighed about 500 pounds too, so bring something to haul it with if you are getting a good amount. This location is easy to get to off US 30. Nice and clean facility, skids of sod located next to the building, attentive and helpful staff. Central Sod is a thing - recommended.

We gave them every opportunity to make it right -- visiting multiple times and being told each time we had to wait until the tree was completely dead for an exchange. Now that the tree is dead, we went back expecting them to stand behind their word. Instead, we were met by the owner, who was rude, combative, and completely uninterested in anything we had to say. He refused to even listen, talked over us, and acted as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. This business clearly has no understanding of customer service, integrity, or basic professionalism. They are quick to take your money but take no responsibility when their product fails. Save yourself the frustration -- there are plenty of nurseries in the area that value their customers and their reputation. Graff Gardens & Farms is not one of them. Save yourself the time, Graff Gardens sells dead trees and dead promises!

I decided to give Graff Gardens a call since I haven't been over to their location in a few years; The reason is my landscape property is overflowing with plants. That very day, I took the half hour drive to Worth suburb and a delightful young gal took me directly to the location where the Gingkos were grouped. A Great selection of Gingkos were awaiting my choice. Purchase was easy and delivery was a breeze. The delivery driver actually brought the tree into my back yard garden. Graff Gardens average is amazing. The place is huge and busting with all sorts of plants, perennials, shrubs, trees, conifer, indoor/outdoor decor and of course, fertilizer/treatments! I have bought from Graff Gardens before. They were the first to market the Blue Montgomery Spruce Shrubs in the area. I bought many Montgomerys from Graff Gardens. Spring of 2023 comes around and they decided to do a spring treatment even though I cancelled over the phone and removed my credit card from their website. I called them and told them I didn't authorize the treatment and they insisted I pay since they didn't have a record of my cancelation. If you decide to roll the dice with this company, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!! I was stupid for not insisting on a confirmation of my cancelled service. They got an extra $125 out of me for work I didn't approve - and don't tell them you're not paying it, they will attempt to take you to collections!
